Came here with an old flame some time back and I can’t complain. I suppose this is like Texas’ version of Chuck E Cheese. The food is good, there were plenty of kids there and everyone seemed happy. I didn’t have a problem with the buffets being empty and all of the pizzas were fresh and hot and the salads were fresh as well with plenty of toppings and dressings.

This could be a nice option for families with little kids, but my sensation was like not a clean place and the food doesn’t help at all.

My review and rating are for take out only — which I do about 2x a month. Mr. Gattis pizza is the pizza is my childhood — even before I knew of a Gattis town I knew this as the pizza of choice that was delivered to our house on the weekends. So I was so happy to find a nearby Gattis even though there is no delivery and I have to pick it up. In general the pizza is always hot and fresh and made to order — I generally call it in and it’s ready within pretty quickly. I find the staff to be friendly and helpful — I don’t like having to wait thru the line for the buffet eat in folks and I’m sure that they hate being in line behind me since the cashier has to leave the station to go grab the pizza — so I avoid popular times like Saturday afternoons or go in and know to expect a bit of a wait. I’m tempted to try the buffet sometime thin– it seems incredibly cheap for all you can eat pizza and salad so could be a great way to take the family out for dinner without breaking the bank.

Love their pizza. Best pizza buffet in town, high quality ingredients. There were several Mr. Gattis across the city in the 1980s, thisis the only one now in the greater San Antonio area.

Ok I’m giving this ace five stars not because it’s the best pizza in town because it’s not but it easily beats out Pizza Hut dominos, Peter piper, chucky cheeses pappa johns ! You get the idea it’s the best of the lower end fast pizzas and at 3.99 all u can eat how can I complain?

As for the pizza, I would pass. Although several variety of fresh options, pizza is thin and dry. For the price, it’s OK. Fun place for the kids; and for a kids party, probably a great option. Staff are helpful and make the experience better

NEVER again. This place has gone way down hill. It was incredibly dirty and a waste of time and money. The buffet was terrible, the selection was poor and over cooked, and the counters were filthy. The dining areas were the same, the busers were not doing their jobs. When we went we had to pay for drinks even though they stated at the door that all the sodas were currently flat… So they shouldn’t have been charging for drinks at all. The game selection was especially poor and over priced. Instead of all the games being $ 0.25 since they use cards with money instead of tokens, many of the games were $ 0.75-$ 2.00. The arcade was just overpriced with crappy games and the merchandise kids could pick from, since many of the games didn’t offer tickets when played was also horrible. My niece upon leaving said this place was gross and not fun, next time can we just stick to Chuck E Cheese ?! She is six! From a child’s mouth, don’t go here, for a little extra money places like Chuck E cheese are 100% better in every way.

Incredibly dirty here. You can not walk around without stepping on something sticky or pizza slices. The employee that«cleaned» our table, wiped it down with a filthy rag. We sat down and there was random chunks of food crammed into the places where the tables were adjoined. It was pretty bad and scary. I wouldn’t go back there. Ever.

Two stars for the food and games. But the rest of the place is dump. Its dirty and the service sucks. More dirty tables than clean ones.

Entertaining for the kids and cheap buffet. Good birthday parties… But the employees could be better at dealing with the chaos.

This place is alright! It’s a good place to bring the kids to. Grab some pizza and salad to eat before you go and play some games. Then you are free to go grab something else to eat before you take off because it’s unlimited food and drinks. Pretty fun place for the kids.

Only 4 different pizzas on the buffet? Over crowded with trashy people. What was I thinking? Of course a $ 2.99 buffet is going to fill the place with low life’s. I will not be back.

Better to come to Mr. Gatti’s than Pistol Pete’s Pizza. It is cheaper for adults to eat. Everyone eats for $ 3.99. That is a good deal. Now, the food isn’t nothing to rave about, but my child enjoyed himself so much, that I would go back often. They have carnival size bumping cars for 4 – 6 individuals and a carousel with planes that elevate. Spacious area for games that can accommodate lots of people. The salad bar looked like it had fresh ingredients on it for those eating healthy. Times have changed and this place either stuck with a familiar name when it’s old business format didn’t survive in the ever changing business world. This isn’t the Mr. Gatti’s of old. The pizza hangout place for us teenagers in the 1980’s has changed to a inexpensive family fun oriented restaurant.

Loved this place for lunch, but they changed the buffet up and it’s not as good anymore. Smaller salad bar and less pasta options, but the games are still decently priced you can play a lot more games for your money than most places. Good place to take kids for lunch :)

This was by far the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. We waited 20 minutes to get a clean table despite the fact that there were 5 empty but filthy tables available. Floors were sticky, restroom was filthy, salad bar was filthy and empty! I will never ever come here again! This is the second time in a row mr. Gattis has been this way. The first time we just thought they were having a rough night. Now we realize it’s just very poor management. I feel cheated that I actually had to give them a star.

haven’t been to Mr. Gatti’s since I lived back in Seguin. Used 2 go every Friday and play the old school Alligator game. Went and got the $ 3.99 buffet reliving memories. Guy working their looking like Drake, I was bout 2 shout out, «STARTEDFROMTHEBOTTOMNOWWE’REHERE.» just 2 c if he was 2 sing the rest.(Jokes) N e wayz, this Mr. Gatti’s is much bigger and had more things 2 do in the fun room. Bumper Cars, an airplane ride, test of strength. It was like a mini carnival. Pizza tasted just I remembered. Crispy, stingy with meat toppings, small slices, but still delicious.

I’ve always loved the taste of Mr Gatti’s. I ordered my pizza to-go, & my only problem was with the employee who took my order. It must have been her first day because I had to keep repeating my order not cause she couldn’t hear me but because it didn’t seem as if she knew the computer system. Still loved my pizza night though.

Ouch. The bottom of the cracked out kids feeder chain. The only redeeming qualities are the big-ass bumper cars and indoor flying amusement ride(think Dumbo from Disneyworld). The food is way below average and buffet style, so just think of all the pieces of pizza picked up and put back. The place looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Half of the games don’t even work and the ticket redemption system is horrific. You ever try to explain to a kid that they have to GIVEUPTHEIRTICKETSANDGET A CARDINRETURN? Oh hell no. That’s a mountain of tears as they see their loot get swallowed and a dumbass plastic card come back out. And it isn’t really that cheap. For what you pay, you could go to D&Bs and get a better deal.

You don’t come to the Gatti’s for quality. You come for mass carb loading. The place is clean except during the weekend Saturday kiddie party rush. They will make a pizza to order and have it out for you in about 5 minutes. It’s a buffet so eat up. The cool thing about this place is they have many have a dozen private rooms for Birthday parties and such. Plus the big game room for kids. There is also a quiet eating room and a cartoon watching room. And I think maybe a regular TV watching room too. But you aren’t here for TV; you’re here to grub!

This is one of the last Gattis still left in the San Antonio area. Located on Pat Booker, next to Dollar Tree, this place still remains the best bang for the buck when throwing a child’s birthday party. The buffet is as expected, with pizza, salad, and desserts. There is nothing special about the food here because it is Gattis. Most of it is processed, but the kids love to get plate after plate of meatballs and pizza. I think this is one of the only places I have ever seen my son go for seconds. The games are fun and relatively inexpensive. Most kids work hard for tickets and this place is one of the only places I consistently hit the ticket jackpot. Don’t you hate it when you see another kid standing there waiting for all of his tickets to roll out? Drives me CRAZY! If you want your own personal birthday room, they accommodate but otherwise, if you want to have fun for a birthday, you don’t have to buy a package. It is sort of a free for all and while the place is tip top clean, the staff is a little user unfriendly in general. I will take my kids there again, but I may hit up Peter Piper first.
