Who designed this? An dark, uninteresting and vacant bar is visible from the CityWalk sidewalk. Why not flip the floor plan and have the bright games pull people in? As others have said the bar had Staples Center level pricing. $ 8 for a pint of Sam Adams. I guess there’s a restaurant and bowling upstairs but we just had the kids play a few games, had one round and left.

Am I the only one that feels like this place is over priced? I mean I don’t mind paying more if the food is good or even warm and cooked right but I fell like this place is just a little too much for the quality of the food and drinks the drinks are up there on price and food is just what they got a 1 star SUCKS !!

They describe themselves as a sports bar and boast about having ten TV’s and two jumbo projectors but don’t subscribe to the NFL Sunday ticket. Besides that they don’t open until 11:00 am on Sundays. That’s one hour after the morning games start. Stay at home and watch the game and save yourself the $ 18 for parking.

Took my son and a couple of his teenage buddies. The only complaint they had was the selection of games wasn’t that of Dave and Busters(spoiled brats ;) As for my bar experience, the smell oh my god the smell of the bar was HORRIBLE. Seriously something was rancid, not wanting to sit bored out of mind waiting on 6 teens to blow through the cash I gave them. I decided to have a straight whiskey, cant mess that up and I’m sure the alcohol would kill any germs from the glass. Two stars sums it up!

Upstairs bar didn’t have draft beer. The service was beyond horrible and slow. We had a party of about 60 people and they didn’t have enough food for everyone so not everyone had a chance to eat, and by the time more food arrived the other sides were cold. It was reserved so it’s not like they weren’t expecting the party. They had 3 people working the upstairs which included the bar, service area and bowling lanes. The bowling lanes were horrible and the computers needed to be reset a lot. Everyone working there seemed immature and no one was over 21. This was a work event but I would never come back here simply based on the service. Went downstairs to play games and it seemed like half the machines weren’t working or we would have to wait for someone to reset the machines. The downstairs bar smelt like vomit and the restroom(men’s) was even worse. No paper towels available and piss all over the floor from a toilet that was over flowing. Obviously no one attending to the cleanliness of the establishment. Seriously, this place is a joke. Save your money and go some place else.

This is my 1st time coming here. My job picked this place to have a catered meal. So far I’ve only been able to have something to drink because no one has replenished the empty food pans. 30 minutes later and they still have not replenished the meal. This meal was prepaid for and I don’t understand why they are not prepared for a large group. Unless the food is to die for, I will not be changing my rating!

I like to think of Jillian’s as a more expensive Dave and Busters and don’t offer as much variety of games. However, they do have bowling which is nice(and I’ve never tried, again it’s overpriced). It’s something to do if you’re waiting for a movie to start or just wanna hang out around City Walk longer. Don’t forget to bring your play card!

Plain and simple. Old, Dirty, Outdated and Bowling balls were the worst!!! This place needs to close down already or major remodeled. Don’t know how they are still in business. Don’t waste your time by coming here!!!

Can Blech be a review? Overpriced drinks. There were about 6 people at the bar and it took at least 30minutes to get anything from the bartender, check included. It was SO hot in there, it’s like the AC wasn’t even on. I was with a small group and we all left super sweaty and sticky like we’d been dancing at a packed club for hours, when we were at a barely busy bowling alley. We were there less than 2hours total it was just bad. We tried playing giant connect 4 on the way out, but they stopped selling playing cards after 12am. Lame. The place was practically empty. Not worth the $ 20 parking to get here.

Nothing really spectacular about this place. The look is old and unwelcoming in the upstairs bowling area. The place just had a unsanitary feel to it. We ordered some drinks and the cheese steak appetizer rolls. These were straight out of a Costco box & to our table… nothing fancy for 9 $. As for the bowling, the lanes look a lot smaller than normal ones. I don’t know how much I look foward to coming back here @ my next city walk trip.

Bowling was a waste of money. All of the balls I was throwing kept swerving to the left making it almost impossible to hit any pins. Everyone I was with noticed it too and it was upsetting because we couldn’t really play a legit game. When I went to go ask the employee if the lanes were recently oiled, se said they don’t oil the lanes because this is a place to have fun. It made no sense because all bowling alleys are a place for fun. No only that, but the balls all had holes on them, which probably contributed to the problem. Not sure. It didn’t make the one game we payed for fun.

First of all, it’s almost completely dark, can’t see any of the bowling ball choices. The bowling Lanes are crappy, half of our games only 8 pins would stand up. The arcade cards don’t work very well, went through $ 10 way to fast and arcade games are really old, AIR hockey wouldn’t even move the puck. Also they had cheap lemonade with a bad after taste.

Came in on a whim after a visit to Universal Studios to shoot some pool. The girl at the prize stand or whatever was extremely rude. My friend tried to get her attention so we could get the equipment to play and she dismissed him saying«You need to be 21 to play.» He’s 25. Everyone in my party is 21 – 26 years old. When he told her his age, she rolled her eyes and replied«If you say so» with her back still turned to us. When she realized we weren’t leaving she finally looked at his ID and saw he was serious. I don’t know what crawled up her ass and died that morning but seriously, someone working with people should not have such a bad attitude. Other than that, happy hour has good prices for beer. The pool tables are in pretty bad shape but for the price it didn’t really bother us.

Nice place. Great for the kids. Great selection of draft beer and mixed drinks. Had an awsome time with the family here. And some us tie with the hubby due to the awsome selections of arcade games. Waiter wad nice and attentive. Pizza and wings were great. No complaints. :)

My boyfriend and I came here for an impromptu date night. We were in the mood for arcade games and just random fun. So after searching through Unilocal,we decided on Jillian’s. Parking: Since it is apart of Universal Citywalk, you do have to pay for parking. You can pay $ 10 for general or $ 20 for preferred(closer spots). I would suggest saving money and getting general because sometimes preferred isn’t worth it. Service: There is no hostess or welcoming of any kind. We kind of just wandered in and found things on our own. No one seemed to want to take the initiative to interact with guests and help. However, when approached, everyone who worked there was nice. Pricing: We only got one $ 20 card which gave us 15,000 credits. The actual card was $ 1. The lowest credit game we saw was 740 credits. But the better ones cost more, of course. Games: There were some good classics like skeeball and basketball that were really low credits. Most games have tickets to get prizes. A lot of the games were either out of order or had some kind of defect with the card reader. Our favorite game was the huge electronic connect 4. We played about 4 times and there was never a wait because it was kind of hidden near where the bar is. As for the bowling, we saw pictures of the bowling alley in Unilocal, but, for the life of us, we could not find it in the building. It is a very small place so I have no idea where they could hide a bowling alley. Overall: Nice staff who could stand to show a little bit more initiative. Good collection of arcade games that need little TLC. We saved our ticket receipts so we will probably be back but I definitely won’t be yearning to return anytime soon.

Writing this from Karl Strauss where the bartender is actually behind the bar and not playing games. Waited 15 minutes for a drink and then as we walked out the bartender magically appeared. The other couple waiting is now having drinks at the Brazilian Steakhouse. Would have spent a couple hours drinking and playing games while the wife shops but I guess the 2 people currently there is the max the staff can handle.

Came on a Tuesday afternoon. The bowling alley portion was blaring music so loudly we couldn’t hear ourselves think. So we opted to shoot some pool downstairs. I visited the facilities and was disgusted at the blood on a wall, broken doors. Just generally unkempt. I told a worker who went off to report the blood. Pool is $ 12/hr for 2 people. The tables are in very bad shape. Stained, tears in the bare felt and where filthy dirty with felt dust and a dead bug or two. The cue sticks where just as bad– loose weights, worn out tips(seriously no padding!!) warped. Just horrible! We played half of one game and left. I tried to explain why we weren’t staying but where given a «yeah whatever» attitude. Will not be coming back.

Came here with my boyfriend after a day at universal studios for his birthday weekend extravaganza! First let me say that this place looks like a small joint but don’t let it deceive you. It’s kind of like a mini Dave and busters just more laid back with less screaming. It’s kind of relaxing actually. But anyway, my boyfriend and I stopped by for drinks here because that’s what you do when you see a bar! This place definitely deserves 5+ stars for the service! Mind you, my boyfriend and I have never been here and we came here because they had a glowing back drop of alcohol on their walls. We aren’t alcoholics but more so alcohol enthusiasts and love to check out new places for fun. The bartender Christine was super attentive and very friendly to me and my boyfriend and she really made our experience quite wonderful! We have been to places like howl at the moon where the bartenders and servers were so rude, but Christine really made us feel so welcome! Overall, I’m coming back thanks to the wonderful service and pretty cheesy but fun games!

Randomly walked into Jillian’s because I was so hungry I could eat my shoe– and that’s saying something because I was wearing my 6 year old pair of Adidas sandals, you know… The soccer ones– we sat down and about 10 minutes later we were given menus to select what we wanted to stuff our faces with. Typical American food, nothing special. Nothing screamed I MUSTHAVETHIS… So I wound up ordering the salmon, no butter sauce and two sides of vegetables, which wound up being broccoli. The others at my table got a Caesar Salad and a Cheese Burger. My salmon was drier than the Sahara Dessert and the broccoli tasted like I was eating it right from a GMO injected garden, lol, or in other words, it just tasted woody, bland and boring… I now know why this dish comes with a butter sauce. It doesn’t seem like the foods my friends got were THATMUCHBETTER because I heard no food-loving moans and groans, but perhaps that’s because I couldn’t hear them over the BLARING90s dance music? Ha Ha! I have to say, that was definitely the BESTPART of Jillian’s! I got to relive my younger life(thanks to the music) even for just an hour! All I wanted to do was dance! Next time, I’ll eat somewhere else and just come to Jillian’s to burn off my meal! Who wants to have a dance-off? BRINGIT!

Sorry, CityWalk is dead and so is Jillians. So sad. Dave and Busters style place. However, this place seems like a great place to rent out for a company party of such for private upstairs area with bowling alley and own bar. I would give that an extra star. However, parking isn’t the best here. And it does smell here.
