Pizza Schmizza Pub & Grub

Good place to grab a bite after an indoor soccer game with the team as they have a full compliment of beers on tap as well as mixed drinks. They have great pizza and salads with my favorite being the genoa. I like bringing the family in here as well because of the variety of premade pizza and the speed that they can get you a hot slice. Their non alcoholic beverage selection is top notch as well. Overall a good value and great food.

Well let me start by saying we were really looking forward to coming here, it always sounded so fun on TV, and we figure it would be a cute mini date to grab before food shopping since my husband and I don’t get out Alone much. I am also a huge fan of leaving good reviews on Unilocal because I know it makes a big impact on future clientele. What a disappointment. The girl at the counter seemed really annoyed when we walked in. It is 6 pm, prime dinner time and there was only 1 other table so that should have been my indicator to leave but I figured maybe it was just a slow night. She stared at us blankly for a few minutes before we said can we please have a menu? Then when we ordered she wouldn’t even look at us and when we finished giving it to her she just turned around and walked away. Mind you we have never been here before so we were a little confused, was she wrapping it to go? Do we sit and she will bring it to us? Can we have a drink? So we sat and waited. Our salads came out and it was frozen and the cucumbers were see through and floppy (it was gross). I ordered a sausage sandwich with the sausage extra well done and when it came out some how my sausage was still cold in the middle and super rubbery (not well done at all) and my husbands food was burnt. The schmeezy bread was good, but overall what a disappointing experience. It was really uncomfortable and we won’t be back to this location.

Man, I really want to like this place. The pizza is good and beer selection is great. The service on the other hand, is dreadful. This is the third time I’ve brought my family into this location and each time, the food has taken 45 minutes to an hour to come out. The first two times, we let it slide because it was super busy. In fact, the last time we were in, they told us «please don’t judge us after tonight’s visit. Give us another shot». So, we did. We gave it another shot tonight and we were again disappointed. We were the only people in the restaurant tonight outside of the two employees working and again, it took close to an hour to get our food. When I went to go check on our food, the guy turned around and yelled «can’t you see we’re working on it?!» Yes, I can see that you’re working on it, the problem is, I could have had a five course dinner served to me at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse by now. So, if you dare go here, make sure you have a Reader’s Digest, and a NY Times crossword puzzle or two while you wait.

Great family place with an amazing beer selection on tap. The pizza is really tasty too and the prices are fair.

I really liked coming here. As New Yorkers, this is the only pizza spot in Vancouver we remotely enjoyed going to. Today my boyfriend asked for garlic powder to put on his slice. He was told by the chef to go to Fred Meyer to get it. When I went up to order another slice, I said that mostly all pizza places in NY have garlic powder along with their parmigiana. I was told by both him and another girl there that I didn’t grow up in a real Italian pizza place. Keep in mind, 4 people in my class alone had families who immigrated from Italy and opened pizza places in my town. I said it was really rude for him to make that comment (on ⁹⁄₁₁ no less) and that we wouldn’t be coming back. His response was good, don’t come back. He continued to talk and ridicule us as we ate our pizza (at a high enough volume we could hear him over the TV and patrons). This is no way to treat your customers. I’m extremely disappointed and shocked at his behavior. Even another employee came over to apologize discreetly to us.

My fiancée and I come in here weekly, great vibe, Fantastic slices, awesome happy hour, schmeezy bread is ridiculously good, plus they have a full bar and outside seating, by far our favorite place to eat in Salmon creek

Ok, this place is not perfect, but I’m still going to give it 5 stars because they do what they do well and the folks who run it are very committed to doing a good job and knowing their customers. The pizza is good — especially considering it’s one of the few places anywhere to get a slice instead of a full pie. The place, while small, is well-​kept up and clean. Here’s the really cool part for you craft beer junkies: They have something like 30 beers on tap — including 2 nitro taps! Whoa! It’s a strange setup, but only because they have to because it’s a small building, but the selection of beer and pizza and specialty sodas (and even some spirits) is very impressive. It’s one of those «hidden in plain sight» gems in Vancouver.

Killer beer selection, awesome pizza, sports on selective televisions. How can you go wrong?

Love the zah here but had a horrible experience with I believe his name is mike last night. I don’t usually call out employees in reviews but he was just so rude and made all 3 of us girls feel very unwelcomed and uuncomfortable. And on top of being a total Dick to us he told us we couldn’t stay because they were closing in 30 mins and refused to give us another round of beer as we saw him giving out some to others. Loved the food hated the service.

Fast delivery, friendly staff. We were staying in a hotel and when the driver came with the pizza he even had napkins, paper plates and pizza seasonings. How thoughtful, the pizza was great nice and hot and good amount of toppings.

Nuthing special. Just a little place to get a slice when you don’t want something crazy. Its cheap. About $ 7 for a combo.

Smelled like dog, there was also no pepperoni left. Didn’t eat there due to smell and seemingly unsanitary conditions.

I do like the pepperoni pizza here. Nice thin crust, good spicy pepperoni. Great beer selection. Nice folks.

Great beer! Simple Pizza! I mean that in a good way. Everyone was super friendly! They helped us with our kids selection and cut up their slices. Great beer selection! We had Dinner at another pizza place close by and that place paled in comparison. Even though we are just visiting I would hit this place again and again.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Thirty rotating beers on tap. Pizza is well priced and the portions are generous. If your looking for pizza, this is the place to go.

From the 30 brews on tap, to the quick slices of pizza and yummy salads, I absolutely love this place! There is something about the management though…
Let’s begin at the far end of the counter, on the beverage cooler. Looking up, you’ll notice a plain-​looking flat-​screen that lists the 30 beverages available on tap, including ciders and pours on nitro. If for some reason you are unable to find something to drink on-​tap, the cooler itself contains dozens more beverages.
Moving back towards the dining area, you will find half a dozen pre-​made slices and a menu board suggesting various slice, salad, and soda specials. (Don’t overlook the happy hour half-​priced slices and $ 1.50-off pours from 2 – 5 daily!)
If, for some reason your slices aren’t ready by the time they pour your pint and ring-​up your order, simply have a seat (either inside, or on the patio year-​round) and they will bring your order to your table! If you sit inside, there are several screens where you can catch the game, or whatever.
They actively encourage patrons to complete an online satisfaction survey; Just scan one of the QR codes or type the URL into your browser. When you complete the survey they will email a coupon good for your next visit!
This location occasionally has some quirks, however. In November, for example, they went about a week with no liquor licence!!! (Did I mention they have 30 brews on tap???) Well, whatever… I just can’t stay away for long!

If I could I would give 3 ½ stars. I got a coupon in the mail for $ 5 off an xxl pizza and thought we would give it a try. I called ahead for pickup and when I got there we were told it would he 10 min longer. I didn’t really mind that because they were friendly and I had fun watching 3 kids play the old school Atari while reminiscing my old Atari days.
While I waited I looked around the place. It’s not a large place but big enough to house a good group of people for a game. The vinyl seats in the booths were pretty torn and could use some replacing. A couple of guys walked in asking about what beer was on tap and an employee answered that they were currently working on renewing their license. So no beer for the moment.
We had the Genoa pizza and Shmeezy bread. The gal who gave us our food drew a cute/​funny picture of us on the shmeezy bread box. The shmeezy bread is a small italian bread loaf cut in half long ways and covered in garlic and cheese. It was delicious except for the couple of pieces that were charred on the bottom. First thought of the pizza: the sausage was funny… I have never seen little sausage bits like this on a pizza, but it tasted good. The sausage wasn’t dried out and rubbery like other places. The crust did have a nice flavor but our pizza was slightly undercooked. It was pretty limp and flabby (but not doughy) and a couple more minutes in the oven would have made it perfect. I do like their mild pizza sauce and marinara. Good tomato flavor and the marinara has tomato chunks.
As for leftovers, this is the best pizza. I usually leave all leftovers to the husband, but not this pizza and bread. The shmeezy bread is super delicious cold and when I reheated a slice of pie in the toaster oven it crisped up on the outside perfectly.
This is one of the better pizzas I have had in Salmon Creek. I do think it is overpriced, however, I’m finding that to be a theme for pizza in Vancouver. If those coupons keep coming then we will keep going here.

I love this place! They always have the freshest slices and friendly staff. There are many adult beverages if that’s what you like. Be sure to be here between 2 and 5 daily for HAPPY HOUR! Half price slices and drink specials. There are also four TVs with sports playing all the time. I have been here many times and plan to return very soon.
