Stopped in here on a Saturday night about 20 minutes before closing. I went inside since there were cars in the drive thru and I stood at the counter for at least 8 minutes before a single employee even acknowledged I was in the building and there were three of them. One girl flat out ignored me when I was trying to give her my order. Don’t go here.

Zombie Apocalypse customer service training. The donuts were just fine. I agree with J. David H. on the level of customer service. With other locations and stores to choose from, next time I will spend my money at a store where I am at least greeted with some courtesy and thanked for spending $ 25 on doughnuts and coffee drinks. I am a friendly person. I get this is a low wage job and dealing with the public is difficult. But if life is that miserable one should not be greeting customers.

I’ve had a few good experiences at his location, but mostly poor. We just left having had a lady serve us who was borderline rude, lacking a smile or any positive customer service oriented attitude. Also, our kreme filled(chick) doughnuts varied from a peanut sized amount of kreme to maybe the size of a quarter. Disappointing.

Decent location. Donuts are awesome, but I personally enjoy the ones you can see the donuts being made in the back. The sitting area is ok. Wouldnt want to sit there for very long though to read the paper or do a crossword puzzle.

Oh how I miss Krispy Kreme! I’m just visiting family in the area, so I jumped on the opportunity to take advantage of these delectable little donuts while I was near this location. To our joy, the red light was on when we arrived! There’s nothing like seeing your donuts being made, and then getting a warm, fresh box full to take home. Nothing beats their original glazed! Five stars all the way!

Came here because I was craving original glazed and didn’t feel like driving to the flagship location, the hot light was on so I said why not? Service was fast, when I got to the window the cashier didn’t make eye contact or anything, her voice was friendly but her mannerisms and body language was screaming I don’t want to be here but its my job. opening and closing the window as fast as possible… shoving the donuts out of the window and turning around and walking away she would die if she looked at me or was in the window more than 5 seconds… This was my first time trying this location…4 stars for donuts/location 2 stars for the associate in the window.

This Krispy Kreme is spot on– they give fast service despite constant long lines(especially on those free donut days I always go to hehe). Really never had a complaint here, and the customer service is great. The staff is friendly but also gets the job done fast. And how cool is it that you can see the machine making the traditional glazed?! It mesmerizes me. I’ll keep coming back here as long as I live in Hampton roads!

Donuts are not made fresh here. They are reheated and glazed at this location. The texture is very different because of this.

Never have original glazed or even chocolate glazed. How is that possible? The workers just say they don’t have any and don’t even bother to give me a time as to how long it will take to make some. I’d rather go to the one on Virginia Beach Boulevard. They never run out of the good stuff.

I will go to any of their locations because they have to best doughnuts in the world. You can get a ½ free if you download their app which tells you if the light is on. When the lights on it means there are hot doughnuts coming out.

This Krispy Kreme is a disgrace to Krispy Kreme. First, the donuts sold here are not made fresh. They are trucked in every few hours, and glazed when they get there. What that means is that the glaze isn’t put on hot, therefore the texture of the donut is grainy and weird. Other than that, this location is just meh. I wouldn’t come to this location when I can drive 5 mins farther and go to one that makes the doughnut on site.

Exciting feeling that there is a Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Norfolk, VA. The shop has lots of seating and you can see the doughnuts being made. Wide selection from specialty doughnuts as well as the Original Glazed(my all time favorite). The prices can’t be beat and the doughnuts stay fresher longer than Dunkin Donuts. Conveniently located next to Starbuck’s off of Northhampton Blvd. A definite must visit to get your doughnut on…

Do not go to this Krispy Kreme! With a small location like this, you’d think that the drive thru service would be A-1…well it isn’t. The people at the window usually have bad attitudes and are not efficient at all. I’m pretty sure the manager sits in his small back office laughing at his employees while binging on a 12-count donut hole special. Since it’s so close to the highway(the ONLY reason why this review is 2 stars), people rushing to work will think that they can get a quick donut fix. That’s absolutely wrong — expect to spend at least 20 minutes in line. I’ve had my order messed up twice(received lemon filled donuts instead of what I actually ordered), my card has been overcharged(charged $ 12.50 for 4 donuts), and I received the wrong change once as well(total was $ 4.45: $ 4 on card, $ 0.45 cash, received back $ 2.25 change… huh?). And don’t let me get started on the actual donut quality. When the ‘Hot Light’ is on, the donuts taste like they’ve been sitting on Elsa’s dresser. When the ‘Hot Light’ isn’t on, expect to eat a donut as cold as popsicles. I usually get specialty donuts — basically anything besides original glazed — and this location just can’t get them right. The center of the donuts are so big that it could double as a cup holder. The donuts just never taste fresh, and I’ve never actually seen them making donuts at this location. If you get a chocolate/strawberry iced donut, expect the icing to taste like it’s been refrigerated for weeks. The Virginia Beach Blvd location is slightly better, but you’re going to have to drive to the Hampton location if you really want top-notch Krispy Kreme donut quality. Avoid this location unless you haven’t eaten in a week and you have no other pre-work option — trust me.

I have become an addict for warm glazed airy deliciousness and there is no cure. As soon as I embark on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, I feel dizzy and my mouth begins to water. I’m craving doughnuts. There was a time not to long ago that I wasn’t in this sad state, but that was B.K.(Before Krispy). I am happy there is no Krispy Kreme in Jersey, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to function daily. However, VA knows my dirty little secret. Once you cross the bridge it’s the first stop for a hot dozen and another hot dozen before I return home. Uh, the flesh is so weak.

Don’t get me wrong. The donuts are as great as at any other in the Krispy Kreme universe. It’s just the service that is a little off as mentioned in several other reviews. I arrived at this drive thru equipped shop around 9:50 pm after about 7 hours of driving. I was hoping for a quick sugar fix and hot caffeine to refresh me. While I expected that supplies might be low with only 10 minutes to closing, I was surprised that they had no coffee at all, and they had to retrieve my donuts from the backroom area where they had been placed in anticipation of closing. When I received my donuts and quickly devoured a signature glazed inner tube, it was as soft, sweet and satisfying as they always are when not hot. But, it would have gone so much better with a cuppa joe.

This KK branch falsely advertises their«hot light». We were so disappointed! The pre-cooked cold doughnuts are stacked on trays near the heater. As you order, the cashier walks back, runs your batch through the heater and hot glaze, and serves it to you. You bite into the doughnut, hot on the outside but cold on the inside. We threw out the whole box. Total scam and total waste of money! The branch on Virginia Beach Blvd. is where you want to go!

According to the light on making them HOT, but believe me the service was anything but. This doughnut shop located on North Hampton Blvd is just under 3 years old. It is situated in a tiny strip named North Hampton Crossing with an ABC store and Jersey Mikes. My daughter loves KK dougnuts and we go by this store all of the time. But this is not my first rodeo with this store with regards to slow, or poor service. So, I usually will skip over this shop in lieu of the VB Blvd location which is without a doubt superior. The first thing I noticed when entering to find parking around 8:30AM was that the lot had trash every where. For it to be this early and this much trash tells me no one cleared the lot when they closed, or opened. The litter was really horrendous and quite an awful sight. We entered the store and walked right to the counter. My daughter already knew what she wanted and I did too. I elected to let a gentlemen in front of me that I walked in with at the same time. Both of us waited and waited and waited. There were a total of three employees to service customers and they had minimal business, possibly a drive up too. But in my opinion the delay was too long, the other gentlemen thought so too. After we got service a woman assisted me and got our half dozen order filled. She was not unfriendly, just blah… no smile or motivation to show she cared. After we got our box we were instructed to move to the register, which I did. Again, waited, waited, waited to finally a young man rung me up. No «did you get everything», «how is your day» a smile was absent too. After the transaction no «come back and see us», or «have a good day»… just no passion for the job and it seemed obvious that these employees did not care. With time to eat in the dining area that is exactly what we did. Something on a big positive that you can give this shop is that the amount of square footage for dining is larger than the VB Blvd location. The dinning room for the most part was very clean and KK signature hats were displayed on the table nicely. One couple was occupying a table, other than that the place was empty. An area behind us had debris on the floor that needed swept. My daughter and I enjoyed a few doughnuts with milk and found them very tasty. It was nice for a change to eat-in instead of the rush of getting them to go. Mom even met us to enjoy some great conversation about afternoon plans in the OBX. The big topic was the new puppy, a White English Lab that is 10 weeks old. After leaving I saw a dumpster in the back from the ABC store it was pulled out in the middle of the lot almost blocking the path to the drive-thru… weird. It’s too bad this location cannot get it together because I really do like their products. Next time it’s the KK on VB Blvd.

On my way back to Springfield my kids noticed the Hot Now light was on. So, I ran through the drive through and picked up a dozen hots. Sooooo delicious. This location seems a lot smaller than the Virginia Beach Blvd location but still has a great selection of donute. I really wanted to get some other but I need to stop eating donuts as they do nothing for my mid section. The guy working the window wasn’t overly chipper, but he was nice. If you like KK and don’t want to drive over to the Blvd location, this location is just as tasty.

This is a micro Krispy Kreme that opened on Sept 13th, 2011. They’re on North Hampton Blvd right across from the McDonald’s. What a welcome relief to have this KK a little closer than driving down to VB Blvd all the time. The one thing that keeps it from being 5 star’s is that they tend to close early. While the posted time is 10pm I’ve arrived at 9:30p to find the doors locked and the drive through closed.
