****PLEASEREADIFORDERINGPICKUP!!!***** The service here is terrible. It’s all a bunch of teenagers who who don’t know what they’re doing. Don’t believe the other reviews they are lies. I ordered my sandwich way ahead of time thinking that it would be ready by the time I came to pick it up. But of course, it wasn’t ready when I got there. Even though the girl on the phone said it would be 15 minutes and I ordered it at 12:45 and got there around 1:15 way longer than 15 minutes. Then the girl at the register said they would call my name. This was also not true. I saw a few guys bringing out sandwiches and there was another customer that was at the register to pick up his order. The guy carrying the sandwich asked him if he was Robert he did not call out my name. Lucky for me I heard this and was able to go up and claim my sandwich. Otherwise it would have sat on the counter where the other pickups wait and who knows when I would have gotten my sandwhich. The food is good but is it worth the poor untimely service? No one even apologized to me for the wait. Never coming here again.

Sometimes I work in Walnut Creek and this shop is in the same shopping center. I’ve heard the co-workers talk about this place, but I’ve never been in the mood for a sandwich… until recently. The last three times I’ve worked in WC, I’ve gone to this bakery for lunch. The first two times, I got it to go because it was close to 100 degrees and they have no AC, only industrial fans. It was way too hot in there for me to sit and enjoy lunch. I ordered a ham and turkey sandwich on butter crust. So good! The bread is super thick, so if that’s not your preference, don’t get it! It was so good, I could only eat half. The second and third time, I got the BLT on butter crust again. The third time, they didn’t have that bread, so I went with the honey wheat or something like that. It was very similar to the butter crust(I keep calling it that, but in all honesty, I don’t know if that’s actually what it’s called). Anyways, their sandwiches are huge and I really enjoyed them! The only thing that’s kind of a bummer is the customer service, like others have said. Even when ordering for here, the cashier didn’t ask if I’d like a drink. Then when I ordered one, he forgot to give it to me. I didn’t know if they had any sides, but the third time I went, I saw the chip stand when sitting down. Small things like upselling, helps a business. Just being aware of your customers and what they may want. Or even offering if they may add a pastry to the order? I’ve ordered the chocolate chip cookies and they’re good! Why wouldn’t you want to sell more? I understand that it’s mainly teenagers that are working there, but I manage teenagers at my store and they’re able to upsell items to our customers. Or be happy that they have a job. Or are alive. I’m not asking for Little Miss Sunshine to wait on me, but basic human skills with a little bit of customer service skills goes a long way. Remember that, «Put your work face on» thing that people used to talk about? Yeah, that’s a legitimate thing. I believe that if they worked on that part of the business, they’d be even more successful. Aside from that, I’ll still continue to come here when my sandwich craving hits for lunch.

After the park we came here to eat. It was 3 pm today and there were about 2 other customers in the restaurant. We ordered our sandwiches and they were out of every single bread choice except for multigrain. So we decided to stay anyway and try it. The sandwiches were awful. We had the crab sandwich, got bbq beef sandwich, and the meatball sandwich. My kids wouldn’t eat any of there sandwiches. They close at 8 pm and they had one bread choice left and were not baking anymore for the day. Huge disappointment. Will never come back here again. Zero stars.

There was a gal this morning who was super nice! She had glasses. The gal this evening was cool. But these desserts… So good and soft and moist. The croissant breakfast sandwiches were delicious and very filling.

I don’t know about other food, but sandwiches are so delicious made out of healthy ingredients! Love it! And also they have organic herbal tea, which is awesome. Customer service is good too. Very pleasant place. I will return here, definitely

I went here on a friend’s rec. let’s just say that I’m sorely disappointed. I bought a lemon explosion cake and a cranberry orange scone. This is so subpar that it’s not even worth a trip out. There’s barely any lemon flavor and it was very sweet. Cream cheese frosting is literally icing. Just pure sugar that it flakes. Scone is dry and can’t really taste much flavor. Will not come back.

Came in finalizing my wedding cake and tried a sandwich. What a great idea that was, hot pastrami on a wheat roll was simply amazing. Oh ya and Jennifer is freaking amazing. We asked for a cake no one would forget and we got what we asked for. The fondant was soft and delicious, it tasted like it was just made minutes before. The sheet carrot cake and chocolate cake was gone within minutes of us cutting the cake. We feed nearly 280 people with the two ½ sheets and the large square cake. Jennifer was easy going and the price was worth every dime we spent. Jennifer showed up on time to drop off the cake and added the finishing touches with the flowers. As long as Jennifer runs this place we will be life time supporters of this amazing local business.

What’s going on at Sweet Affair? Is it a management change? I have been coming here for years and it’s always great service and fantastic food. Today I placed a phone order for pickup. I asked it be ready at 11:30. I arrived early at 11:23. Got my soup and told my sandwich was coming up. 20 minutes later I got my sandwich, made incorrectly. They fixed it and had to replace my soup which had now gotten cold. It was incredible how un-busy they were during this time. I’ve never seen it so slow there. Tons of employees just standing around. People ordering after me getting their food. I sorted the reviews by newest, and sadly there are a bunch of 1 stars.

This bakery is unassuming from the outside but very cute rustic chic décor on the inside. They have a large pastry display case with many tempting options to choose from. Flavors here seem pretty standard(chocolate, chocolate mocha, strawberry, etc) but they do standard well. For my first time, I ordered a morning bun for breakfast and the roasted turkey sandwich(sans sprouts) for lunch. The morning bun was pretty decent and enjoyable though nothing that absolutely blows my mind. Turkey sandwich is HUGE(for me anyway). I got it on the sunflower wheat bread which goes well with the sandwich itself. Overall really enjoyed the flavor and was very satisfied with my sandwich. I would definitely love to come back to try a few more of their pastries. They are located next to Heather Farms park so this could be a cute little picnic date

I found this place to be a delightful find packed into a strip mall of other random eateries. The atmosphere was cozy farmhouse chic. When you enter you are greeted with long glistening glass cases of desserts and pastries. The cakes looked to be decorated in a detailed manner. Although I skipped the bakery portion this time, I will be back for sure to try it out! It was lunch time and I kept seeing people walking to their cars in the parking lot with these huge, gourmet, delicious looking sandwiches wrapped up in a white plate and covered with clear bread bags. I knew I had to have one of those when I walked in. I ordered the chicken Cesar salad sandwich. It’s basically a Cesar salad on a French roll but brilliant idea! I loved it. Crisp lettuce and fresh chicken brought it together with the dressing. I recommend eating indoors or outdoors, handful of seats available at lunch time still. Great place!

I was able to get in and out this morning with a cinnamon twist. Love that this place had quality baked goods but with enough staff to keep the line moving or nonexistent. The twist was soft and flaky with a crunchy outside and evenly coated with granulated sugar. Absolutely delicious! No prices on the pastry display, but everything is $ 2.49.

I ordered a cake on Tuesday that I needed for Saturday, and this bakery did an AMAZING job on my cake! I needed a Tiffany blue cake for my friend’s bridal shower and I was so impressed with the cake’s deign and taste! Note that the mocha ganache is super coffee tasting which I didn’t mind because I love coffee, but I was expecting it to be a little bit more chocolately, but still delicious! Thank you so much for this beautiful cake it was a hit at my shower I threw.

We heard of Sweet Affair after going to one of my daughter’s friends kiddie birthday party. Had a slice of the cutest monkey half sheet birthday cake and oh my it was just the right taste of sweet and it was super moist! Decided to visit one of their branches and grabbed three different cupcakes with my girls and a 4″ black and white cake with three cookies. So excited that this bakeshop will be our new bakery. The only downside is that it’s about 30 mins away, but def worth the drive out of Brentwood.

Been coming here since I was a child. Love this place. The sandwiches are so good… especially with that super thick fluffy bread. Tried being a healthy adult today and got a salad. Was just as good as a sandwich. Huge portions. I missed the bread though…

Pineapple coconut soufflé muffin thing is the bomb diggity. So soft, even half a day later. California breakfast sandwich is huge. Packed(and I mean PACKED) with egg and avacado, inside a deliciously butter crossant. I asked for green peppers on mine and they were the fresh crispy kind. Yum. Lots of hot tea choices. And they don’t cheap out on the hot chocolate either, giant cup with more than enough whipped cream. Comfy booths, tons of other bakery options… this place is dangerous.

I’ve loved Sweet Affair since I was knee high to a tadpole. My childhood would not have been complete without their iced shortbread cookies(aka — the pink heart cookies). It was always a special treat when I got to have one of those bad boys. Since going back as an adult, I’ve only appreciated this gem even more. They have great freshly baked breads, pastries and other sweets. You can even get sandwiches on their fresh breads, and I think if memory serves me correctly — the deli meats are Boar’s Head? Yum. I’ve always encountered sweet(sorry, bad pun) and pleasant staff while in here and I’m certainly in the fan for life club.

Oh shit this place is delicious. Yes I would have an affair with their sweet pastries. Make sweet love to it with my mouth. They bake all of their pastries at this location. And the person that rang me up said they have been in business for a long time.(I thought she was the owner because she was so enthusiastic about the place!) They have a long counter with many different pastries. I came here with my son; I promised him that I would buy him something sweet if he played well, he won the tournament. It calls for a celebration. We bought a loaf of the cinnamon bread. They cut it into slices for us. She said she liked it toasted with butter on it. But looking at it it was glowing in sugar with a nice cinnamon swirl inside the bread, I don’t think it needed anymore good news unless you are going for that menais trois! This place has plenty of space and seating outside but also lots of space inside reclaimed old wood, cool dark warm. I would drive out of my way to come here. I do want to come back in the mornings when she said they finish most of their baking.

This place hasn’t changed in quality since I started going there back in 2001. The law firm I worked for right out of high school used to get birthday treats catered from Sweet Affair and they were always amazing. Whenever I am this neck of the woods, which isn’t very often anymore, we stop in to get a sandwich or a treat. Never fails us. Always very yummy stop! Keep it up Sweet Affair.
