Okay so since my last review the service had gone down hill and lately it’s been very good. I was surprised that the young lady working the register today not only remembered my name but knew I liked my shrimp well done. Kudos to her! Today is 1÷5÷20167:18pm and I’m not sure what her name is but I appreciated that she remembered my name and order give the fact that it’s been a month that I’ve been in —

Second Noam P’s review. Zucchini is the best!!! It’s hilarious how they don’t do grilled veggies at other taquerias. Amateur hour.

Best burrito ever. Way better than your typical taqueria. I can’t deal with all that guacamole and sour cream at other places. High Tech is where it’s at.

Never been here before and never coming back, started with the system down and they could not take card, not there fault but, put up a sigh so people know before waiting in line, to be told. On to the food, so very bland, no flavor in the meat or salsa the burrito was poorly constructed, It was loosely wrapped and just feel apart,(never had that happen before) and all the tables and chairs were dirty and it was before the lunch rush.

Very disappointed the long term employee that prepares the food is very unsanitary he does not wash his hands in had this experience tonight time 7:24 pm ordered a burrito, never again ugh… I am also considering contacting CC Helth ans Food Safety Inspection dept to file a complaint. I would also like to request a refund for my order.

Had the grilled chicken burrito here. Found it to be decent size yet plain and the flavors were all muddled together with the bean juice. I want to say majority of the filling was more beans than rice or meat which would be great if I was lacking fiber in my diet but I’m not. My experience here was ok, I’ve definitely had a lot better burritos elsewhere. I’ll pass on coming back here.

Had an order of the BBQ Burrito(~$ 8): protein sautéed in a smoky BBQ sauce with green onions, pinto beans, white rice, coleslaw, & roasted corn salsa. Also(a few days later) had an order of the Breakfast Burrito(~$ 6): scrambled eggs, cheese, pinto beans, green onions, roasted corn salsa. Food was delicious, staff was collaborative(helping to confirm the use of a 3-D barcode on a Wocket), and the ambiance was resilient(having survived many changes in local tastes but with the original value preserved — if not increased!).

My pet peeve. The person who took my money, made my burrito! They were courteous enough but… WASHYOURHANDS!!!

Perhaps it was my mistake for ordering something a little different from a burrito place — i.e. a shrimp curry burrito. The rice was mushy and the vegetables didn’t match what the menu said was going to be in it. Also, for curry, it was pretty bland. It was my first time there, but unfortunately, I don’t think I’d want to come back.

Serious disappointment. I haven’t been to this location for a few years because it isn’t that convenient, but now I will be content to never go back. The burrito I got was super bland and the rice was crunchy, aka not cooked all of the way. The grilled vegetables were burned. When I asked politely where the listed avocado was in my burrito, the preparer insisted it was there even though I had not encountered it. Has outdoor seating.

I have heard great things, so after taking the kids to heather farms we decided to go for burritos. for the 4 of us we split a godzilla and a surf and turf burrito. it was more than enough food of us.(great portions!) but OMG soooo bland. the beans were bland, the meat was bland, the salsa was bland(i had the medium and expected a little heat.) everything was cooked well, but it almost felt like everything came out of a can/bag. the proteins were all well cooked, shrimp weren’t overcooked, steak and chicken were done well, but WHEREWASTHESEASONING? we won’t be coming back, sadly there is no reason to try it again.

I recently read good reviews of High Tech Burrito. My family and I happened to be in the area today, so we thought we would give it a try. Horrible mistake. By far the worst ‘Mexican food’ I have ever had. I’m from Los Angeles so I’d like to think I know what real Mexican food is, and this was far from it. The chips and salsa were absolutely terrible. They clearly were bought from a market. It was like pace picante and tostidos. I got the surf and turf burrito. Supposedly there was steak in there somewhere… I never saw it or tasted it. Actually I didn’t taste anything… Like literally nothing. Zero taste. The physical temperature of the burrito was as hot as Mexico… No idea how they cooked it to be that hot. Couldn’t hold it at all. That’s about as Mexican as this food got. I could go on and on, but not worth my time. If you want bad, fake Mexican food, save your money and hit the Taco Bell. Or better yet, just get a nacho from a movie theater… Same authentic taste.

With great places like, A Sweet Affair, and Kinder’s around, High Tech Burrito never stood out to me as a place I absolutely MUST try. Today happened to be a day where I was craving Mexican food for lunch and conveniently happened to be right in the area. After checking in on Unilocal,I noticed they had a special check in offer of $ 1.00 off any burrito bowl. That was awesome since I wanted to get a burrito bowl anyways, and everyone can use an extra dollar in their wallet. When I presented the offer to the cashier she asked me if it was a Unilocal offer. When I told her that it was she informed me that the manager is no longer accepting the Unilocal offers. I know it’s only a dollar, but I’m curious as to how a manager can refuse to honor an offer when there is no logical reason for it. That little annoyance aside my burrito bowl was pretty good. The bowl came with chicken, cheese, black beans, Spanish rice, salsa and lettuce underneath it all. The star of the dish, the chicken, had a nice grilled flavor to it. The Spanish rice tasted out of a box, and the lettuce, though a healthy element on the dish seemed a little out of place. Those two things just didn’t seem to flow with the rest of the dish. I don’t see myself revisiting High Tech again any time soon. With a few Chipotle establishments in close range, I will get my burrito bowl fix from them.

I’ve been coming here since I was at least 7 years old. I’m almost 27. This same location. Lots of memories and AMAZING food. I’m sorry chipotle. You CAN’T touch or come near as good as high tech. Always and forever :)

The menu is a tad confusing, so it took me a few minutes to figure out what to order. I ended up getting a fish taco & a breakfast burrito for lunch! My order came out pretty quickly despite the line being out the door during lunch time. I didn’t see the optional veggies you can add to the burrito until it was already ordered. I think that’s why my burrito was a tad bland. But it was still really good! The guy that took my order & the one that made my food were super nice & I didn’t get a drunk, so he offered me a cup for water, which was awesome because I forgot to ask for one!

I came here for lunch during the week. Everywhere else was busy except this place which I sometimes think is a bad thing because if a place is a good, shouldn’t it be packed during lunch time? I originally wanted a burrito but them I saw that they had fish(grilled) tacos and shrimp tacos. I ordered one of each plus a steak taco(which is called a street taco there). The first one I ate was the steak taco. Now that I think about it, it didn’t taste as fresh as it could’ve. A little too much cotija cheese on top weighed down the fresh flavors. I don’t think tacos should really have more of a cheese flavor rather than a cilantro-y, salsa-y, meaty flavor. 3.5÷5 Second I had was the shrimp taco. Maybe I was comparing it to Rubio’s too much. This shrimp taco had rice in it and it was double shelled and still couldn’t hold everything in. It was literally bursting with shrimp and sauce. It was a hot(figuratively and literally… and spicy) mess. I consider it to be a bad thing when your taco is falling apart as you’re trying to eat it. Too much rice also. It tasted like boxed Mexican dinner rice you get at the store. Will not get again. 2⁄5 Lastly I ate the fish taco which was grilled. I consider this one the second best tasting. It had slaw on it, salsa, and some sauce of sorts. It all came together well as a whole. The only downside was that the fish itself was somehow dry even with all the sauciness surrounding it. I found this odd. It was severely overcooked. I figured it would be considering how long it was taking. Like… it really doesn’t take that long to cook a piece of fish and some shrimp and I’m pretty sure the steak was done already. 3⁄5 Service was decent but again the wait was a bit long considering there was no one in there and two people who ordered after me got their food before me. Um?! They did say sorry but actions speak louder than words. Just be courteous and get me my food first. I checked in on Unilocal and got a 10% off coupon. Too bad I checked in after I ordered and paid. You have to spend $ 10 or more to use it and I spent $ 13 on 3 tacos which is pretty hefty. But they were a good size… I’ll be back to try the burritos and use my coupon.

Seems like High Tech needs to upgrade their burritos. This was my second attempt at trying their food, and again, I was disappointed. I do appreciate the fact that they clearly label all of their vegetarian and vegan options. They have several vegan burritos, but no veggie tacos(wahhhh). Ceaseless whining aside, their food isn’t awful, but it’s not particularly flavorful, either. I chose the Braised Tofu burrito and a side of chips and guac. The cashier put my order on hold while she took a customer complaint on the phone. There was another mess-up while I was waiting for my food. Obviously, the kitchen was struggling today. My food was really bland. The tofu had no flavor, and the cilantro didn’t look fresh. I ordered the Avocado Verde salsa on the side, and it tasted gross. The guacamole was decent… until I noticed pieces of shredded cheese in it! Major mistake. I brought it back and they gave me a new side of guac, but again, cheese in it. I tried to just eat around it, but just gave up. Cross contamination is not okay. I paid $ 10 for my food(after a buck tip), but it wasn’t worth it. Go to a real taqueria with a salsa bar and chips included, and pay a few dollars less.
