It’s a Subway, just like all the rest. The location is back in the corner of the strip mall so it may be a little hard to see from the street. They have the usual menu and pretty good sandwiches, made fresh, and okay service.

Rude staff, terrible food. The guy making my nasty sub looked so upset with his life or his job, didn’t even look at me when he was making the sandwich, not even when I was paying. I asked if my 8 year old could use the restroom after finishing her sub which we bought there, and he said there is no public restroom, PUBLICRESTROOM? I just bought three nasty sandwiches. I have never been in a restaurant with no restroom. It was my first time there and definitely my last time. I wish I could give him, and the place zero star.

I’ve never been greeted so badly, as I entered the door of this place by a snotty, unattractive little man named Ramon or he tried to tell his name is David. And throughout the menu process he just continued to get more and more rude. I was just really confused by his nastiness. I felt so back for his co worker. Who helped me? I was eventually by a very nice woman named Nalliti. There wasn’t a reason I could see why there was so much angry nastiness heaped at me by some guy who still acts like he is in high school. I will not be back. Manager, do your job and get rid of this stinking fish in your staff.

OK I have many years under my belt as a subway sandwich artist, so I KNOW what I am doing when I order a sandwich! First off, there is a uniform standard that they can’t even follow! A subway visor is meant to be worn right side up and forward facing. This is because it is the equivalent of a hair net. Worn the way he was wearing it, it serves no purpose. Also you should always wear a name badge so that customers know who you are. This is a standard in any customer services based work place. Now here is the kicker. They are always rude and unprofessional at this location. Furthermore, their sandwich making skills are so poor it is depressing. You should be able to make a sandwich that isn’t toasted in under a minute. The average time it takes them here per sandwich is about 4 minutes when toasted and 3 when it is not. Personally I could make 3 to 5 foot long sandwiches in that timeframe. The worst part is that they can only make one at a time or they panic. The whole store needs to be retrained or replaced! Now the real reason for my review. When I ask for a foot long that is a combination of two sandwiches together, I am saying it has the meet of both! Not six inches of it be one and six the other. When I am met with hostility for this request and lectured about it, we have a problem! Don’t then try to tell me that I didn’t ask for it that way from the beginning. Rule one of customer service, the customer is always right and you never give them an attitude if you don’t understand what they are asking. I will never return to this dump!

I was at this subway sandwich shop this morning, a very rude and argumentative employee named David as he stated, I asked for his supervisor or manager for his rudeness he answered very rude that he was the manager and supervisor, I am also a manager for small facility but never in my life I can be a very argumentative to a clients, I will never, never again partronized this subway in 1815 Ygnacio Valley road again, although I am few blocks from that shopping mall.

Very poor customer service here now. There used to be nicer employees and I used to go every Monday morning, but now the man who works Monday’s is incredibly rude and condescending.

Shelby was helping us, she was so rude and had a major attitude. I’ll drive an extra 10 minutes just so I can be helped by someone who actually smiles and cares about the costumer. She was so rude.

If I could give minus stars, I would. Total fail. Let me first explain that I *like* Subway. I get lunch at one of the stores in Berkeley quite often, and have never been disappointed. I like the fact that they bake the bread onsite, and that your sandwhich is made to order and you can tell them what you want on it. So, when we were figuring out what to do about lunch for our miniature horse show at Heather Farm Park, we thought, «hey, Subway caters, that would work!» We decided to get one platter each of Black Forest Ham, Turkey Breast, and Veggie Delight – 15 sandwiches on each platter. According to the receipt, we were supposed to get one«Fresh Fit» platter, one«Flavor Craver» platter, and one«Classic Combo» platter. I don’t know which was which. We put together a «lunch special» which was a sandwich, a bag of chips, a drink, and a slice of watermelon for $ 5. Our judge and our volunteers receive lunch for free, so we figured we might break even on the food if we had a good turnout at the show. I was embarassed to ask for money for these sandwiches, and to feed them to our hard-working volunteers. The«Veggie Delight» was the worst – a bunch of lettuce and a little tomato on what I guess was Italian bread. That was it. Lettuce and tomato. No cheese, no other veggies, just lettuce and tomato. 15 sandwiches for $ 36. The Black Forest Ham and Turkey Breast weren’t much better. These consisted of a bunch of lettuce a little tomato, and three tiny, paper thin slices of ham or turkey breast on Italian bread. These platters were $ 40 for 15 sandwiches. Total Fail. I won’t be going back to any Subway for anything any time soon.

How do you run out of cheddar cheese. You have like 5 ingredients. And then your toaster oven is also broken? Get it together.

Done with this place! I used to come here religiously for lunch a few years ago & then got a new job so I stopped going. Thought I’d give them a try because I wanted an egg salad sandwich. So I waited in line already about 10 mins & the woman who spoken little English asked if I’d been help I replied no so she skips me & asks the person behind me what he wants. I repeated about 3 times before the other employee asked her to get me. Finally I asked me an egg salad sandwich on wheat & she asks me «white or yellow» I looked confused as well as her coworker so he reached into the mini fridge & grabs a scrambled egg patty. I said again my order & neither one knew what the hell I was talking about. Finally the man replays that I am wrong there is no such thing. So I literally had to grab the menu & show then He followed by snatching it from me & wrote with a marker«no avil» next to it. Both employees continued to ignore me as I stood there still wanting a sandwich. After about a minute I looked around speechless & left. Other in line as myself were confused & embarrassed for these pathetic excuse for employees. Definitely not going here again, wasted my whole lunch break & didn’t even get food!

It’s Subway. Wait in line get a sandwich. What else is there. I think a remodel is needed. The place looks tired. I suggest keeping up with the neighbors. It’s hard to understand the employees so listen carefully or you may get something on your sandwich you(or whoever your ordering for) didn’t want. I don’t eat bread and good thing too. The bread is made onsite but I’m sure they add sugar to the bread(a subway thing). Personally I’d like to see this place replaced with something else. The best sandwiches are right next door at Sweet Affair.

I do not know how this place is still in business. The employees slow race to see which one of them can move slower or speak so low you cant hear them. They also see how few items they can put on your sandwich. Corporate Subway would not be happy at the way their brand is getting abused at this location. They also have no clue how to use the cash register.

It’s 9:18pm and they are F*cking close when the hours says open til 9:30pm. Who runs and operates establishments like this and doesn’t follow their own set time. I can’t rate them 0 but they so don’t deserve even 1 star

Walked in at lunch today, asked about the special. I don’t want chips & a drink, I just want a sandwich and normally they have a sandwich on special. This guy behind the counter tells me that there is only the combo special and if I want a sandwich only it is 5 bucks. I walked out. On my way out, I see a sign on the door saying there is a $ 3 sandwich special today, ham & turkey. Whatever. Went next door to Sweet Affair and had an amazing turkey sandwich. It was meant to be.

My tuna salad was room temperature, a big contrast in temp to the chilled veggies on my sandwich. I was afraid to eat it.

If I could give zero stars I would. The constant male employee should not be working with the general public. He is not a nice person. It feels like every time I go there he is annoyed he actually has to make a sandwich for me and my family. Today is said«excuse me» because I couldn’t hear what he was saying. Then he starting yelling the questions at me. So rude! I’m going to contact corporate Subway to complain and maybe if the rest of us do it, he will be removed from his position. The sandwiches… are ok

Worst subway ever. That is bad for a subway. The sandwiches were poorly made, they just dumped the ingredients onto the bread. We had a coupon that they didn’t know how to handle… it was easier to just pay full price than to wait for them to figure out how to use the cash register.

Within this YVR strip shopping center, there are better choices than Subway, including: — Sweet Affair for fancier and more expensive sandwiches. — Kinders for fancier and more expensive meat-centric sammies. — Fresh and Easy Market — Grab and Go! — MooYah Burgers — High Tech Burrito Yet, here i was during a recent Lunch for something predicable, relatively cheap, and entirely forgettable.

As far as Subways go, this one is better than most. Parking at lunchtime on a weekday can be nearly impossible. The lines here get pretty long, but they usually have sufficient help to move things along, and the sandwich artists are more efficient than most, though they also do a better job at it. Sometimes at Subway, they put the condiments only in the middle two-thirds of the sandwich and leave the last 2 inches at each end fully dry. They don’t tend to do this here. I guess my biggest complaint with Subway is that the prices have gotten too high by about a buck unless you get one of the specials. Being a vegetarian, this usually exempts me. I always get the veggie patty, which is like a garden burger. I share these with friends who are big meat eaters, and they always like them, even if it would never occur to them to order something vegetarian. I strive to overcome this meat blindness since many meat eaters would never even think of ordering something from the vegetarian section of a menu, thereby missing some real gems that anyone would like.

Ugg, I wish I read these reviews before coming here but I had just finished an 8 mile run that started and ended at Sports Basement. I had my 2 year old with me and it had started raining, so we decided to get some Subway. I agree with some others. The woman who works there is SOOOOO rude. I ordered a kids meal, which comes with a drink, apples, a mini sandwich, and a 6 inch sub for myself. We grab the drink for the kids meal(bottled water) and sit down. The place is packed, as it’s lunch time, and as we sit down she SCREAMS at me, «You can’t have a water! It costs more money! You owe me $.30!!» I said, water isn’t an option for a kids meal? Her: «No, only juice box or chocolate milk!»(which comes in a big jug). Me: «So water is more expensive than chocolate milk?» Her: «Yes! It’s $.30 more, you need to pay us that.» At this point everyone is staring at us as she’s shouting over the line of people at us in our booth. So, I guess Subway isn’t really promoting a healthy alternative to the Kid’s Meal. Chocolate Milk has more sugar than a soda! So rude, I just put the drink back and didn’t even grab the juice box or milk because I didn’t want my daughter to have all that sugar. We finished our meal and I even cleaned our table but I really wanted to just fling our tray at her.
