Great burgers. If you have not tried it and you like burgers you own it to yourself to check this out. I like the fries and shakes as well.

Good burgers and serving sizes. I love that you get a huge list of items to create your own burger. Their sweet potato fries are amazing! If there is just two people you only need to order one fry to share. Huge helpings.

They have friendly staff, and delicious food. I got a double burger wrapped in lettuce, half & half fries, and a shake. Fresh and made in front of you once you order.

Normally I am ok with Mooyah but definitely not today. My husband went to pick us up dinner on his way home from work. He ordered me a combo, consisting of a Mooyah burger, fries and a drink. Well, they failed to give him a cup for my drink and because he was trying to get home he didn’t even realize their mistake. And then onto the burger, I go to take a bite and I see hair sticking out of it and pull it out. Um ya, disgusting. The only reason I am giving them a star today is because my husband called them and told them what happened. First they told him he could go back there and get a replacement. Um no… we live in a different town. So he asked for a refund and they gave it to him. Good job on that part. I’m not saying I won’t go back but definitely wary of them considering they failed to do a simple job correctly.

Mooyah delivered by Urban Eats( ) was FANTASTIC and count me in for checking out the place on purpose and in person now. Through Urban Eats, I could choose Mooyah’s Black Bean Veggie Burger(Vegan) and it was delicious. Some might worry a «burger» would be soggy for delivery, but not this vegan choice. Delicious with all the toppings(lettuce, onion, avocado and mustard) served on a whole wheat bun. I urge you to give Mooyah a try for vegan, veggie or regular burgers and salads.(and of course Urban Eats if you want it delivered right to your workplace in the Walnut Creek area.) Thanks Mooyah too for working with Urban Eats so we can have your food delivered during a busy work day.

Let me start by saying our favorite burger is squeeze inn in Napa and Fairfield. That is quite a drive to get a burger. It is also hard to beat Fuddruckers on value and quality. Roam burger in Lafayette is a great high end burger but after I get the sunny side burger and add bacon, I am over $ 10 just for the burger. The Habit is also very good. Moody’s competes and exceeds my other favorite burgers. Hand made buns are amazing. The ingredients are top notch. I love the pickles, mooyaa sauce and free crispy onions and mushrooms. The thing that sets their burgers apart is the seasoning and that they smash the burger on the grill which adds a ton of flavor. Crazy tasty. Good value and a short drive from my house. Which may either be good or bad. ;)

Mooyah is great! I have to admit I never bothered eating there because I am a vegetarian. Well that was a mistake, they have great homemade veggie burgers. I tried Mooyah through an online food delivery service, Urban Eats.(btw — you need to try Urban Eats if you work in the Walnut Creek area). The veggie burger was really yummy and came with spicy dijon mustard and a side salad that was quite fresh. Granted some of the extra may be due to the fact it was part of Urban Eats daily meal offering. But the food was fresh, flavorable and fantastic!

Love love love this place! I stopped in and picked up some burgers after work. My hubby placed the order and told me it would be ready when I got there. I had to wait for the fries which I wasn’t expecting(this was my first time there), but that’s because they cook the fries so they are hot and fresh which is ok with me! I only waited a few minutes so it was no big deal. Their burgers are delicious! I also like that you can signup to receive discounts and free items. The staff has been friendly and they always have the Warriors games on. I like that they have a chalkboard to keep kids occupied. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon!

Mmmmm Mooyah is to die for! I went in the other day when I was trying to be healthy(okay…semi-healthy), and I tried out the turkey burger for the first time. I had mixed emotions about my choice because I REALLY wanted a hearty beef patty, but since I was trying to be healthier I went with the turkey patty. WOW… ITWASAMAZING. Honestly, it was the juiciest patty I’ve ever tasted and I am a burger connoisseur! I’ve been craving it again lately so I will be stopping by soon! Definitely a great spot that has fast service and yummy food!

Never been, and since I hadn’t read much about them, didn’t know what to expect. There’s a wide spectrum in the burger niche, from McDonald’s to high-end quality spots like Jack’s Prime in San Mateo. Well count me a fan. These burgers are the real thing: quality meat, nice and juicy, just delicious. The wheat buns we had were also top notch, and I loved the variety of free sides, especially the sauteed mushrooms. And I could choose not to do a calorie slam with tons of mayo that I don’t like. I was just getting a cheese burger, aiming to share some other sides from my wife’s order. But as I’m called to get my order, the employee asks if I’d like some extra fries with that — gratis! And he piled a ton of fries on my plate — and they were great!(Did he know I was doing a Unilocal review? Hmmm.) The only drawbacks to Mooyah are the seating, arranged in a narrow band along the side of the restaurant, and the shakes. The shakes are so thick they cannot be sipped in a straw — they clog halfway up! If you like them that way, you’re good, but to me that is closer to an ice cream sundae in consistency than a shake. But other than that, a great hamburger spot. We will be back…

I decided to visit Mooyah burger not by choice, but out of convenience. I went to the Postal Annex a few doors down to pick up a package, but was too late as the PA closed down on New Years Eve. Since I was not in a good mood and in a hurry to get home to restart my studies, I dropped by to get something quick to eat. That day there was a pretty good amount of diners which surprised me since it was Christmas Eve. The food smelled good, so I was optimistic. So I just ordered their standard burger with cheese w/fries and a drink. So when I arrived home, I was ready to eat something that smelled pretty good from the bag. The fries were more of the thick cut fries style. They were pretty tasty, not overly salted thank goodness. I imagine they would’ve been even better fresh if I had eaten there. Now onto the burger. Well this is where it fell a little short for me. The biggest disappointment was the bun. I got the wheat bread bun and it was a bit dry, bordering on stale. The lettuce was a little flat as well. I don’t want to say everything was not fresh, but I’ve had better quality lettuce and buns. The meat quality was decent enough, but the bun and lettuce that day wasn’t working for me. Overall, I had a good experience though. The service was good and reasonably fast. Nice thing is that you can see the kitchen and watch them cook. Maybe I’m a weird guy, but I like to see my food being cooked. Nevertheless, I’m going to give it a 3.5, but keep the star ratings to a 3. I’ll try it again another day, missed package or not!

Great stuff!!! Was in the first time today for a great FREE meal, yes, FREE is a great price, cost nothing at all. How does one get for free what I had? Simple… sign up online at the Mooyah website, and then get a coupon emailed, then I printed it out… simple!!! Sooooooooo…I wasn’t sure what to order, but what I got was some yummyness. The veggie burger with mushrooms, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes; I also ordered the fresh hand cut fries which were tasty fries. It may be a bit greasy, but it’s most likely the kind of food one eats, that is greasy. SOOOOOoooo… the restrooms are clean, I just noticed the restroom floor was a bit wet, the gal that took my order just started working yesterday. They also have treats in there that one can give to there doggies, and then there is a big huge chalkboard where kids can write or draw stuff, speaking of kids, the kids that where in there when I was very well behaved. There are two TVs for watching sport’s, etc… Yes, I reccomend coming here.

Mooyah burger gives me a mix vibe of Five Guys and Super Duper Burger. I noticed little details here and there that reminded me of Five Guys and Super Duper Burger but Mooyah definitely has its own style that left an impression. Right off the bat, this place is great for families with children. They have a gigantic chalk wall and they have drawing paper with crayons. Lots of kids were there during the time so that’s just a heads up if you want your privacy and don’t want to be disturbed by kids running and yelling around. ORDERING: There is a base board to the left once you walk in that you will use to build your burger. They have a lot of toppings you can get for free. OPTIONS: Mooyah burger(1 patty) $ 5.29 Double burger(2 patties) $ 5.99 All natural turkey burger $ 5.99 100% beef hot dog $ 3.89 — cheese can be added to all of these with an additional cost. PROS: They bake their buns right on site. I could definitely taste a difference. FOOD: I ordered their Mooyah burger with sweet potato fries, I added pickles and Mooyah Sauce which is just similar to thousand island dressing. Burger was juicy, bun was soft, pickles had a great crunch to them. Sweet potato fries were good, $ 2.99 for a small and it was more than enough for me, I didn’t even get to finish them. Ask for ranch ! I wonder if they make their pickles on site because the slices I got were delicious ! CONS: — The inside is pretty cramp, they have tons of seating inside but it’s hard to maneuver, you’ll notice this once you walk in. — Their soda dispenser is at the very back of the establishment so if you’re sitting outside and need more water, you’re gonna have to maneuver through the cramp walkway. — I just wasn’t a big fan of the layout that they gave this location. — employees were eh, no smiley faces in sight. PROS: — our food was delivered to us quickly, we couldn’t hear our name since we were outside and we weren’t expecting our food so fast so one of the workers was kind enough to deliver our food to us outside. — very clean inside and out. — big portions on my sweet potato fries. Overall, a pretty good experience. I’d love to come back with my family next time.

I heard about this place through a friend. When i heard the name I knew I had to try it. Walking in the store you are instantly faced with a menu right above you and greeted by a cashier in front of you. The menu is simple enough 3 – 4 burger and you can choose from a selection of buns, toppings and sauces. I ordered a mooyah with fries. It took about 10 min for my meal to be ready. Served on a metal tray, the burger resembles an artisan burger but at a discount, mostly due to the bun looking almost brioche. With a very generous serving of fries. So how did it taste? Good but not as good as it looked. The vegetables were fresh, the mooyah sauce was tasty, and the bun was better than a traditional sesame seed bun. The burger itself was a bit gamey, likely due to how fresh it is, one of their advertised staples. The way its prepared looks to be almost like corned beef hash in a patty: thin, crispy, clumpy, and flat. It wasn’t bad but I couldn’t help but taste the gamey flavor. The fries were really good, again you can tell that they are freshly cut. Not too seasoned and not overcooked. I would say if your looking for something different from Fuddruckers and FiveGuys then this is a great alternative. Just don’t expect a high class burger.

This specific Mooyah is located in a great area right in the middle of a busy part of walnut creek. There’s a lot of outdoor seating that can be shared by all the surrounding restaurants so it’s generally a busy area. Some of the main reasons for visiting: New news in terms of a build your burger concept, I heard they had great customer service, and there are always kids here(with no play place I wanted to see why families loved it so much). Before walking in we peeked at the menu board through the glass and the order taker gestured for us to come in. We told him we’d never been here before and he walked out from behind the counter and explained the entire process to us. That was a nice gesture. While waiting I took a quick glance around and low behold there were kids everywhere. The only thing I can chalk it up to is there was a chalk board wall to draw on but that’s about it, so it could be the food? I honestly couldn’t understand why(not sure if there’s a kids menu or not). Got our order and the guy handling the fries scooped more and more fries into our bag which was also nice. I ordered their Cheeseburger on a wheat bun with bacon, grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms and cheddar cheese. My boyfriend got the double party burger with bacon, grilled onions, and the standard lettuce tomato mix with cheddar cheese on a regular bun. We also got sweet potato fries and a Oreo shakes. Our total was a whopping $ 30 for two of us. Keep in mind the additional toppings are free. Overall the burger was good, it was juicy and a bit sloppy but good. But nothing extraordinary, however my boyfriend loved his burger. The interior was ok, I wouldn’t necessarily bring my kids for that price. The service was good, the manager even came around to ask if we were ok. However I felt it was overpriced(and yes, I understand when you pay for quality, build your burger type of experience it will always be pricier) and I’m not sure I’d come back often. I did leave feeling good because the staff was very friendly and tentative, the location, and the communication elements within the restaurant that indicated the quality of their ingredients.

Good burgers! I had the IceBurger, a beef patty wrapped in iceberg lettuce. Generous and well seasoned. My extended family loved their burgers too. The fries were super generous(large fed 5+ people!) but I would have liked them a lot more if they were seasoned with just salt instead of with garlic salt.
