I like Einstein Bro’s for a quick breakfast. There are local breakfast place I prefer over this, but you couldn’t go wrong with their egg and bagel sandwich At DCA: It’s closed down!!! So sad. I do not eat McDonalds and have always gotten Einstein everytime I fly from Delta. Einstein bagels is going to be Cava Mezze soon.

I get sucked in when my flights delay to eat something fairly healthy and cheaper than most meals. I am always unsatisfied with service and products from this location. I got the thintastic buffalo chicken lunch. The chicken was hard and I couldn’t chew it. Some had the texture of fat gristle you’d get on a piece of steak. I had to remove all the chicken and basically eat thin bagel with lettuce tomatoes onion cucumber and some spread. Which is not bad but also not what I paid for. I think if you stick to just a plain bagel here you’ll be good everything else is presented sloopy messy and never the same.

Lousy location of this chain. Super slow, which is the opposite is what you need in an airport. I ordered a bagel with hummus — opened it and wondered where the hummus was.. After ordering there was no on at the register to ring anyone up. Lady next to me paid for a combo but they said it didn’t come with a drink, which was not her understanding w when she ordered it on the other end of the counter..

Early morning options are fairly limited at DCA. If you can’t find what you want at Cosi and are stuck with the 10 – 22 gates this is going to be your most likely option. Since you’ve probably seen them at nearly every airport, you’ll be familiar with the choices. I chose the mushroom, swiss and egg white one which was fine. I don’t like condiments and there was an unspecified one in this bagel which I really didn’t like so I downgraded them a two, but otherwise a three. Service was indifferent as to be expected. *shrug* Not much more to say.

Lost my business as soon as Starbucks opened right next to it. Looks like everyone hopped on the same wagon because I never see a line for Einstein in the morning anymore. The food is decent but they don’t serve lattes here.

Pretty apathetic service. Had to repeat my order several times. Didn’t add the extra cheese. Staff more interested in talking to each other. Bagel was good. Would have been better if made the way I wanted. There are other options I’ll try before returning. But I’ll probably be back eventually because I do like a fresh everything bagel.

You serve me a flatbread, which is like a pizza. You can’t even cut it in quarters so I can pick up slices. So I’m sitting here with a pizza I can’t fold, can’t pick up. Take a knife and make two cuts do that it is in quarters. How did you expect me to eat this. Here or on a plane. I’m picking off pieces of chicken and have to tear it apart with my hands. And the chicken is gristly. Avoid.

Had an egg sandwich this morning. To put it mildly, it was hideous. I don’t know what puffed egg product they used. But what I do know is that it was unappetizing. What I did enjoy was the delicous, freezing cold orange juice. THAT was excellent. I know this is an airport location. If I am paying decent money to fly, I should be able to have a breakfast that compliments the experience. This is by no means a knock on all of EB. This review is for this specific EB in DCA.

Go to McDonalds or Auntie Emms… The service is ridiculously slow and you might miss your flight after placing that order! There are a lack of options here. The people aren’t pleasant and the selection that is on the board is not what they have always. Einstein Bros needs to step it up with his establishment.

Yeah, it was either this place or McDonald’s and I thought I was choosing the better option but I guess there are no good options while in this terminal. My advice, just get something that the little snack store to hold you over until you land at a decent airport with decent food options.

The united section of Reagan really has not too many options for food. Just mcdonalds and auntie anns basically along with the full nameless restaurants. This is right next to another coffee place weirdly but this is the best option. We had the healthy egg white asparagus mushroom Swiss bagel and it was delicious. Didn’t taste healthy and you could choose any bagel, we picked everything and it went well. Lots of cheese and some nice sauce on there as well. The vanilla hazelnut coffee was good as well. Didn’t even really need sugar with the nice flavor. Would rather have had Panda Express or fuddruckers but this managed to hit the spot. Prices weren’t outrageous either.

What a mistake. I got to my gate with 40 minutes to spare in early morning and was starving. Usually I would go right on over to McDonald’s and enjoy a delicious sausage biscuit with egg. But I decided to try to «be healthy» and instead waited in the enormous line at Einstein Bros. Horrible. I won’t go on and on complaining about the line and the lack of options and massive crowding in this terminal and skip straight to what is important: the overpriced food. BEWARE those who are considering one of the«egg white thin» sandwiches. They don’t advertise it on the hanging menu, but they drench the sandwich in this nasty disgusting pink sauce. Just sniffing it made me want to vomit and the sandwich was slathered in it so there was no way I could just scrape it off. Revolting! Why on EARTH would they not mention this on the menu to unsuspecting orderers? It was the worst breakfast sandwich I have ever been served — by far. Unfortunately, by the time I opened my sandwich I had already walked away from the shop, and as I said, there was a huge line so it wasn’t worth going back to get another one. I ended up throwing it away. TRUSTME if you are here in the morning and want something edible, go to McDonald’s.

Pleasantly surprised. Had an early morning hangover… and a flight home too. Didn’t want McDonald’s and decided to go for the Santa Fe breakfast wrap with a medium coffee. The combo deal was about $ 8, really not bad at all. The wrap was quite good — tons of scrambled eggs and sausage with some cheese and a spicy schmear. It hit the spot and provided some much needed sustenance. Tried the vanilla hazelnut coffee and it was just ok — would rather have gotten regular and added cream or something. All in all, definitely didn’t hate it. I’ll consider going to Einstein Bros more often.

I love einstein bros bagels. The only thing i don’t like about this certain location is their customer service. Im not sure if the person who take the orders is not a morning person or just does not know how to smile. You work at an airport with people who travel diff. Hours for crying out loud. If you’re not happy working in the morning, then dont get that shift. Just saying. Im going to DD if customer service is consistently bad.

I have thrown away more Einstein Bagels then I’ve eaten*. Absolutely the worst. If I could leave negative stars, I would. I probably should also report this location to upper management. In fact, as soon as I finish this Unilocal review Ima figure out how to do that. Here’s the deal, when flying out of National on Delta, literally the only real stop for food items is this one. On my latest trip I seemed to have forgotten how terrible this place is(a 5:15 flight out of Eugene w/no food due to a 30 minute layover in SLC will do that to a person). I waited at the«order here» spot at the counter for a full minute, while the three women working there shot me sneering glances and continued their gossip. Only when I began moving away did one of them break from the pack and decided to ask me what I’d like. I asked for a cream cheese bagel. I went to the other end of the counter to pay at the register and something caught my eye back where the food prep was happening: I saw one of the women eating. Fully eating. Hold on, I thought to myself, maybe she is simply grabbing a bite and moving on her way for break. Turns out, the first eating girl WAS indeed on her way out. I calmed my nerves, hoping all the while for a warm bagel to assuage my rumbling stomach and addled brain. It was at THIS point that I saw the girl who was prepping my bagel go over to the same spot the other girl was eating(from the front case, by the way), dip her finger in … something… lick said finger, and then grab my bagel to add schmear. WTFF? I didn’t walk, I RAN away from my almost $ 8 bagel and didn’t look back. Friends, be forewarned. You may end up with more than you bargain for if you stop for a quick snack at this joint. *Yes, I have had one other bad experience here where I actually threw my bagel away after picking it up. smh

I suppose it can’t be helped that they were sold out of most stuff at 6:30PM, but is it that hard to get cucumbers? And coffee? It did seem to take a while to get my order, because they chose to make three at once and bring them all out to the counter at the same time instead of in the order that they were ordered.

The food here was actually much better then I was expecting. It’s six in the morning at an airport so I’m not expecting much, only that it’s edible. I ordered the Santa Fe wrap and it comes with egg, pepper jack cheese, turkey sausage and a jalapeño based sauce. It was small, tasty, and SPICY. I love spicy but this was SPICYYYY. The people behind the counter looked as tired as my brother and I were. No smiles, no one looking happy, and when they talk to you it sounds like there just hoping you’ll leave. Next time I come through this airport this is the place I will be going to.

Einstein Bagels, I am a big fan. I know it’s really early in the morning, in an airport nonetheless, but still — does the customer service need to be that grumpy? Aye. :(

Line moves quickly, bagel sandwich combo meal is your best deal and about the same price as McDonald’s(but slightly healthier!) Nothing to write home about but in the food option starved Delta terminal of DCA this place seemed the healthiest and fastest of my options. Order in one line, pass a ton of add-ons(chips, cookies, fruit cups, drinks) and then pay in another. Got the Tasty Turkey bagel sandwich which has turkey, tomato, lettuce, sprouts and chive cream cheese on an Asiago bagel. Good enough but ended up adding mustard for some zip. Fruit cup was a mistake; honeydew was a gross mealy texture though the strawberries and pineapple were ok.

WHY is it that I am right outside this place, yet I cannot check in because Unilocal thinks I am atleast 4 mikes away from here! Not fair! :( Anyways, pretty decent airport bagel place. Does NOT in any way stand a chance in front of potbelly’s breakfast bagel over in the AA terminal, but well since I am flying delta now, I do not have a choice! One gripe with the place — of you ask for cheese on your bagel, it will NOT be melted. They put it on the the bagel after it has been toasted :(I don’t like that too much! Sigh. The muffins are good if not awesome and the coffee has enuf caffeine to keep u awake for work! :) So not that bad of an option for an early Monday morning flight!
