I eat out… a lot. And as such, I have my share of bad experiences. So I can understand this place pulling a 1-star rating. But based on my experience last night, I have to say that for the situation, things are hopefully improving for the better. Most people would probably agree it’s reasonable to judge a location in the context of where it is… and a McDonalds in the not-so-bougie NorthEast isn’t going to be gleaming and fancy. But I did find the staff competent, quick to serve, and making a solid effort. Surprisingly, I observed staff adhering to health standards and McDonalds standards much better than any of the local Maryland locations. Unlike the numerous Maryland locations I’ve visited(North Bethesda, Rockville, Aspen Hill, Glenmont), the staff here: — Didn’t touch my food with their bare hands — Didn’t touch the inside of my food containers with their bare hands, following McDonald’s food prep procedures — Actually had food in stock(I’ve been told numerous times by the above locations that one item or another wasn’t available) — Provided a regular size water cup(not the child-sized cup, and didn’t charge like some locations) The manager, who I believe was named Maya(definitely could have the name incorrect), clearly knew what she was doing and was leading her shift. I don’t make McDonald’s a regular stop, and this one just happened to be convenient, but my hopes are this place is on the up-and-up.

When I go to Mcdonalds my expectations are usually already very low. I go in with a lot of patience and emphasize for the lack of education. The old chicken nuggets we received were expected and we were not surprised. What caught my attention was the cashier taking me and my 10year old sons order while simultaneously grabbing his gentials. Again i was not surprised. What bothered me most was the infomercial on the tv about«old cracked crêpe skin». I asked for the channel to be changed and the manager just didnt care because she never came to change it. So we had to eat our meal listening about old cracked skin on elbows back and feet.

I don’t expect impeccable customer service from fast food restaurants but my experience tonight was not only he WORST McDonald’s experience I have EVER had, but the worst fast food experience I have ever had. I pulled up to the window where only one car was waiting in front of me and 1 car in the parking lot, assuming they were anything but busy. I waited for someone to take my order and said«hello?» A girl aggressively yelled back«HOLDON!» After 30 more seconds of waiting, she came back only to yell, «GO!» Surprised, I ordered and half way she yells again«HOLDON!» and asks me to repeat my entire order. I repeated it and asked if I can make a 20 piece nugget a combo; disregarding my inquiry she just blurts out, «drink?» After I finished my order she mumbled my total and when I asked her to repeat the total, she did not respond. When I pulled up to the window and handed her my card she snatched it out of my hand with a sour look on her face and slammed her window shut. When I got to my apartment, 10 minutes away, I noticed there weren’t any sauces in the bag but there were sauces ordered on my receipt. So we go back downstairs and have to drive the 10 minutes back to McDs. My boyfriend went inside with the receipt in hand and when the disrespectful and rude drive thru employee saw him, she turned her back from him, refusing him service. When another McDs employee asked him what he needed, she interrupted saying«we don’t have any sweet and sour sauce!» but he had just seen them give sweet and sour sauce to a previous customer and more sauces were behind the counter. When my boyfriend told her he could see the sweet and sour sauce behind the counter, she only gave him one sauce for the entire 20 piece nuggets. He had to go back and forth with her AND the other McDs employee to get the 4 sauces included in a 20 piece order. Our food was cold when we got home, Coke drinks watered down and my hot chocolate was now cold. This isn’t the 1st bad experience we’ve had at this particular McDs but it’s definitely the WORST. My boyfriend and I both feel discriminated against and neither of us appreciate the treatment we received from either of the employees who we met tonight. I have written the McDs customer service and am calling them during business hours tomorrow to report this. I am seriously considering making this a legal matter with my lawyer sister because I can not figure out any reason other than racist discrimination why she refused both my boyfriend and I services and the items we PAID for and provide those same services to others in the same minute, free of cost. I am extremely upset and hope McDs does not take this situation lightly.

Not the best McDonalds but I don’t expect much more when I’m coming in anyways. It took 20 minutes to make my chicken and ranch. I asked for ranch dressing, the manager said okay and went to the back and never came back. So I asked the cashier and it was right there by the back counter. I don’t know where that manager was going. Anyways, I wouldn’t say I’m not coming back but it wouldn’t be my first choice of location if I were to come back again.

I tried this place for a week; morning and afternoon and could nit get a fresh made meal. Every order was old and dry, even when I switched it up. There is no reason to have a variety when it all stinks… do not bother with this MCD’s unless yur painfully starving.

It’s a McDonalds people. Should I take away one star because they don’t have power outlets? They are not supposed to. I gave them 4 out of 5 as they didn’t have a kids area and the drink station could use to be cleaned up. But honestly I’m a white chick and I walked in, ordered my grub, was engaged in pleasant conversation as I ordered one happy meal you(just the toy) as an extra for Oreo my pup. They made my food correctly. I had no problems whatsoever.

This McDonalds restaurant would be okay if they could ever get the order right. There is always something wrong — and it’s not just sauce — they often make the wrong sandwiches or they forget to include sandwiches. This wouldn’t be so bad if it was an in-store order, but whenever my wife goes through the drive-through window, the package she delivers home is always wrong. Yesterday, she was honked at by people behind her because she refused to move until the food was right and of course it was wrong — TWICE! It’s usually hyperbole when people say ‘They never get anything right’, but trust me, with this McDonalds, I have never once had food from them that was right first time. I know it’s just a McDonalds, but surely even McDonalds should be able to deliver the right food. I mean, if they can’t even get this right, where is the bar set for food quality, handling etc? Maybe I don’t want to know.
