So I came here to grab a couple of pizzas on a Wednesday night(around 1:00AM, May, 12th2016). After 20 minutes from my pickup order, I wait in line to pick up my pizza for the employee to ask me «you ordered a pick up from here?» As if they don’t do pickups, so I immediately doubt myself for a second and double check my confirmation email. The person taking my order was busy chatting his way around with cops that were hanging around over the counter with the cashier(behind the counter) Like around 3 or 4 of them, which is highly unprofessional from both professions I must say. I was growing frustrated from the power tripping that was going on from both parties(employee/owner and the law enforcement). They were speaking loudly, commenting on people, etc. After I ask him about my order again, he asks to take a look at my phone. Probably had my phone for a couple of minutes, but he was chatting his way again! I ask for my phone back to which he says«I’ll give it back to you buddy I’m just writing down your order.» To which I reply«are you putting my order right now» To which he ignores. I ask again and his reply«don’t worry I’ll get it ready in 10 minutes.» 40 minutes from placing my order(20 minutes from the 10 minutes he claimed), I can literally see my pizza getting prepared as I was typing the first part of this review. I tell the employee have a good night and leave the establishment, if I hadn’t I would have flipped because they were unapologetic and extremely unprofessional. I call the restaurant as soon as I left, to tell the employee the reason for my cancellation and that I expect to be reimbursed. 10 minutes later, they call back to tell me my order is ready! I tell him again respectfully the reason for my departure, and then he hangs up on me as I speak. I call again to explain that hanging up on a frustrated customer is not the best PR, I thanked him again, but this time he had the decency to reply. It is a pizza place, you are supposed to be fast and efficient. Also, you need some serious customer service schooling. The average fast food chain has superior customer service quality. Loose the attitude, don’t power trip, and wear a smile. It does not take much to be nice to your customers«buddy.» P. S. There was a couple of other customers, the place wasn’t packed the slightest.

Pizza Mart is everything I wanted it to be, and more. First we should clarify, you are not buying a slice, you are buying the equivalent of a small pizza shaped like a slice. Ergo, I advise you share your«slice» with a buddy. We’ve been here a few times now, usually after drinking and the place is always mobbed albeit accessible. But it was my early weekday trip with my husband and young child that really pushed this place into the 5 star category. One of the owners, his likeness is drawn on a pizza box so I think he’s the owner, was making silly faces at my toddler and small talk with me about how precious the small moments with children are. Before I left he gave me a rather unappetizing piece of cheesecake for my kiddo which she was super excited about. I thought the gesture was just too sweet and with it they have won my loyalty for oversized pizza! I should also mention that the cheesecake was AMAZING, I don’t know if it’s on the menu or if it was part of his secret stash but I’ll be needing more.

Ok wtf is this shett? For rilly. What kind of imbeciles are rating this at all? Have you eaten at any point in your existence? Not only is it not acceptable pizza, its not food, or anything resembling. It is shocking . It is raw play dough with foul ketchup and an lb of garbage cheese, coming off a conveyor belt. How are you allowed to exist? I don’t give a fork how huuuuge it is, it’s still $ 6 for shit. I hate you for existing. It’s not even difficult to make average pizza and you choose to make shett? I can’t believe any of this. It’s same as passing mouthwash as… I can’t even finish the analogy. Just shut this dung down

Definitely not a fancy place but I am giving it a 5 stars because more people need to know about this place!!! My friends are locals and they love this place. The pizza slice is about $ 5 but it is huge… check my pictures if you can’t imagine it. Two people can easily share one slice and you will be full. If you are only trying it 3 to 4 people can share a slice. One big slice is like 4 regular slices of an average medium pizza everywhere else. If you are super hungry, go for it. Surprisingly the pizza tasted super good. They only have cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. Overall, this place is local, small, fast, cheap, simple and delicious! Why not? Many locals choose this place for late nite cravings.

This is the place I have gone to many nights after having drinks with friends. In the early morning hours it’s always super crowded and filled with inebriated and equally hungry customers. I must say that today was my first day having a jumbo slice while sober :/it’s really not how it sounds… I promise. If you are a native Washingtonian, you certainly know that having a great night in Adams Morgan is almost always followed by a jumbo slice. I was lucky today as it was not quite noon, and lots of places around here don’t even open until late afternoon or evening. I really wanted a jumbo slice and Pizza Mart was thankfully open!!! It was really good, probably even better than any other time I’ve had one :)

The pies are AMAZING!!! Yes you can eat one of those slices. I thought I couldn’t at first but it was so good that I downed the whole thing. There’s not too much space to go in and sit but there’s usually a couple spots open to sit so going with a big crowd may not be the best thing. Parking is a beast as you in DC and for that matter AdamsMorgan, which is worse. Definitely have got to go and try it. I was there Thursday and going back today! The slice will run you about $ 10 w/drink.

Drunk and want pizza? Come here for sure. Ignore the other«original jumbo slice» pizza places around here, you only need to care about this place. Whether you are out visiting bars or just stopping through Adams Morgan, stop here and get a slice and be happy

Here’s another reason why I love D. C… Jumbo pizza slices! While venturing through Adams Morgan, my friend and I wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. Oddly enough, Jumbo Slice Pizza a couple doors down was closed that day. A little upset about that, we found out that Pizza Mart offered their own jumbo pizza slices and decided to give them a try. I ordered a slice of their pepperoni and mushroom. The wait wasn’t very long and the pizza slice came out promptly. When we were called up to pick up our slices, I was actually pretty surprised that this ONE slice easily took up TWO plates! It was literally bigger than my face… CHALLENGEACCEPTED. There’s a couple of stools around inside for you to sit and enjoy your oversized pizza slice, but I can only imagine what the inside would look like if the place were packed. The only gripe I have about Pizza Mart’s jumbo slice is that it could’ve been a little hotter. I don’t know what it is, but pizza tastes so much better when it’s hot and the cheese stretches out with every bite. I still can’t believe I finished the whole slice…

Very pleased as usual. Sometimes, there is nothing like a good slice of pizza. Pizza Mart had the goods and no line to speak of. Granted I went before 6pm. There was no line no less.

This place is legit. Great spot to grab a jumbo slice of pizza when you’re shit faced walking around Adams Morgan. The quality is excellent… once slice and you’re good to go. These things are freaking huge. I will always make a stop at this place the next time I’m up here – you know – when the house lights in some random bar turn on and they more or less start politely kicking people out.

Hole in the wall pizza joint — east coast should be great a pizza right? The pizza was huge for $ 6, its thin but NOT crispy!!! I repeat, it’s NOT crispy! IF it were crispy, it would be perfect, and I’d rate it 3.5 stars. This is probably amazing for drunk piggies, other than that, I would save my stomach for something else!

This is my first negative Unilocal review, ever. I love small businesses, and will always choose a small business over a chain. But the guy behind the counter at Pizza Mart is one of the rudest individuals I’ve ever encountered… and I will NEVER go there again. Here’s what happened: I gave him my card, paid for my slice, received it. Then, as I was about to bite into it, he yelled at me, said my card was declined.(It’s never been«declined» before or since.) He pompously demanded that I give him another card immediately. Then, before I could hand him another card, he started making fun of me in front of all the patrons, loudly declaring that«your card was probably turned down because you’re broke and don’t have a job!!» Wow. I was with a group of friends at the time and none of us are ever going back to that place. I suggest you and your friends don’t either. I can’t speak to the person working behind the counter during the day, but if you go there late night over the weekend(he may work weeknights too, haven’t subjected myself to that), just observe the demeanor of the guy taking orders before placing one yourself. It’ll only take a minute before you realize he’s a legendary jerk and that he doesn’t deserve your business. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Literally the best $ 5 I spent in D.C. We are here two nights in a row. Make sure you look for Pizza Mart in the midst of all of the other jumbo slice pizzerias in that area!

The pizza is huuuuuuuge. Oh my god. Huuuuuuuuuuugeeee. And delicious. However, the place could totally fix their bathroom. Bathroom has holes on the floor and while hovering I almost fell in the bowl, yuck. Also, for the love of all that is holy, please have a water fountain or something. I just paid 4 bucks for a slice of pizza and I don’t want to pay an additional 3 bucks for a soda. Like. Come on now. Your target audience is broke 20 somethings, get with the program and provide some water so I can down the 10 pounds of flour with cheese and tomatoe sauce I just ate.

Don’t come here unless it is really late at night and you cannot spell the word sober. This is a great end to the night in Adams Morgan. Try it, and end your night of the right note. Side note, one of the highlights: they have beef pepperoni!!!

Extremely rude. They participate in StealZ but would not honor my rewards bat I earned because it was«night time». This is not specified anywhere in the app or the conditions of the redemption. It is a scam so do not use this app or patronize this restaurant.

Pizza Mart is a staple to Washington, DC. While it may not be the best pizza I have ever had, this is certainly good pizza. I love the dough. It is so soft. I prefer to go for the pepperoni option. The only thing I don’t like about this pizza is the sauce. It’s a little sweet. But I also don’t like sauce in general, so… At $ 6.50, this is a definite go to lunch to fill you up for the whole day. The staff is also super kind!

I’ve been hearing about this place from my husband for years. He fondly refers to it as «the place w/pizza as big as your face». This place has never been busy when we’ve gone here. It also helps that we stop in generally between 5−6pm, not late night. There is limited seating, always 1st come 1st serve. Now, if you’ve never been here, you probably expect their pizza to be much like other«late night» pizza joints. Hot, greasy, and never as good as it is when you’ve had a few. I was surprised to find that their dough is quite flavorful and their sauce had just the right amount of kick. Drunk or sober Pizza Mart always hits the spot.

This is the best place to grab jumbo slice late night in Adams Morgan, but that isn’t saying much because the quality of the pizza here and at every other joint down 18th street is pretty low to begin with. That being said, the slices are huge and contain enough grease to fill up a double shot glass. A store employee showed me the pan they cook the pizza on which no joke is 48″ in diameter. I’ve seen friends try to concor 2 or more and fail miserably, so don’t press your luck and think you need multiple slices, especially if you’re hammered.

So, my second stop of the three pizza joints in Adam’s Morgan. These monster slices here are without doubt and are serious competition for Pizza Boli’s and Jumbo Slice. It takes three plates to hold this beast. Slices were $ 5.5o each which wasn’t bad and it was also pretty damn filling. Sadly, while the sauce was a little watery compared to Pizza Boli’s and Jumbo However, this sauce came off to be tangier of the three places. I’d eat here again, it’s the best of the three jumbo slice giants here in Adam’s Morgan.

Aside from the monster size slice the pizza is really good. Crust and sauce makes a good pizza they have both. There menue is real simple cheese or pepperoni. It’s nice to see they leave spices on the counter for extra flavor.
