This place did not disappoint. Out of all the years Ive come here to visit family I never tried food from here . A few nights back everyone was fixed on Italian. I refused and wanted to try this place. Everyone changed their minds so we made a giant pick up order from Becky Jacks. They were very accommodating and so friendly. It’s a small place so don’t blink or you might miss it driving by. We had multiple orders of the fish sandwich and fish tacos and they were amazing! Even people who don’t normally like fish sandwiches were inhaling theirs. Don’t be scared of the portion either it’s surprisingly light and you’ll definitely scarf it down.

LOVED this place! The fish sandwich is to DIE for! Its HUGE so share it if you aren’t a big eater! The place is teeny tiny so be prepared to wait. I wish they didnt bring your drink in a plastic bottle… fountain would be so much better but that’s the ONLY thing I would change! The menu is awesome and the 5 bean salad was as good as our server said it was! It was perfect after a day kayaking on the river. We’ve been back 4 or 5 times since. Love it!

Unilocal didn’t let us down with this one! We had the burger, the crab cake, and fish. All three were amazing! So were the sides — slaw, mac-n-cheese, and fries. I would have loved to try desert, but was way too full!!!

Just based on a one visit I have to say this place is awesome. Great wait staff, clean outdoor area with a cool fire pit. We sat in a high wooden chair and waited for it to open at noon. They came right out and took our order. I had the crispy fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw. The fish was really good, the fries were the big thick kind and the coleslaw was perfect. The inside is pretty cool also but it was so sunny and pretty outdoors was perfect. I highly recommend this place. It’s fun, good food, good price, nice people and I bet it’s awesome at night with the fire going.

Love this place! It’s our local eatery and the most popular place around here to grab a bite to eat. Their most popular dish is the Crunchy Fish, which is just delicious. A close runner up for us is their burgers which are huge and grilled to your liking. So many choices on this menu, with a big selection of crafted beers as well. A little do not miss local joint for anyone visiting here or living in the area, IMO! Can’t say enough about this little gem!

Dammit so good!!! I had the Reuben something or the other, which wasn’t really a Reuben, BUTFANTASTIC!!! It was fish with an almond coating and was so big! I wanted to eat every bite and just couldn’t. My daughter had the burger and she ate every morsel; her friend had the grilled cheese and there was nothing left of that, either. Service was awesome… Our waitress was busy but helpful and kept us refreshed and our food was delivered piping hot! Will ABSOLUTELY return!!!

I love places like this. It’s just a hole-in-the-wall, but they care about what they put out. It has a really cool Key West vibe to it… very beachy and eclectic. We started with the smoked fish dip which was very good, although not sure what the fish was. For our lunch, we got the blackened fish sandwich, the Cuban sandwich and the fried clams platter. The fish on the fish sandwich was huge(like enough for two sandwiches)…very impressive. The Cuban had salami in it, which was a first for us. Not bad, but it may have overpowered the delicate flavors of the mojo pork. The fried clams were tender and not rubbery. Overall, food was well-prepared and solid. They also have quite a few beers on tap, which was a pleasant surprise. The place is small, but there’s plenty of seating outside and service was very attentive. There’s quite a bit mismatched old furniture and antique-feel décor, so if you’re OCD, you may not like it. We loved it and will be back.

Becky Jack’s food shack where have you been all my life? I finally got to check this place out on my way to visit some family. Seriously. I. Can’t. Even. This has to be one of my favorite seafood places I have been to yet. My mom and I split The fish sandwich that was made out of corn flakes and the bacon crab cake sandwich I really wish this place wasn’t over an hour away because I would go every week. I am in love.

Great lunch, funky digs, nice folks! This was a great Unilocal find for a late lunch after a nice scenic drive and bird watching. Easy to find off US19 on Cortez near world famous Weeki Watchee. I loved the bright décor, odd wall hangings and mismatched everything! The specials came hand written on a small paper lunch sack. They have great craft beer on tap(thanks for that) and I had a refreshing Lost Coast tangerine wheat beer with my fish tacos. I was super hungry and my Unilocal instincts failed me since I ate my food before my usual photo session. However, I have added some fun photos of the restaurant itself. My husband a blackened fish dinner with Mac and cheese and five bean salad. Both sides were great! I ordered a second side of the mac. It was very tasty! The service was prompt and friendly. I am so happy we stopped here for lunch. If you are in this area give them a try. It looks like it would be a hopping place on a Friday or Saturday night.

Amazing food! I was just exploring the area and ran into this place. I got the fisherman special, the fish was breaded w some sort of flakes and almonds and it was huge, it also came w coconut shrimp which were delicious — probably one of the best I have gotten. The bean salad and Mac and cheese were phenomenal, really good quality not your typical can/Kraft kinds. The place itself was a shack and very«beach-like», loved the environment, I took a bunch of pictures.

After a day in the kayak, My friends wanted a snack. A local suggested We try BeckyJack’s. You’ll know it’s BeckyJack’s. It’s a delightfully tacky shack. I’ve only been there once, But I’m dying to go back! Fried, crunchy fish Is their signature dish To eat it right now, Would be my one wish! The mac n cheese was yummy It had a nice garlicky kick I could’ve eaten more If, to my thighs, it didn’t stick. The burgers looked good, So when I’m next in that ‘hood, I’ll have to try it! Cuz I really like food!

I’m so happy to be able to say that BeckyJack’s is open for business and doing well. Of course it will never be the same without Kim, but the staff and Joe are carrying on and doing an awesome job. You’ve got this Joe.

We over heard the conversation between one of the kayaker and the pickup bus driver about the best restaurant to eat is Becky Jack’s seafood shack. One of our local friends also recommended this place. The shack has limited space so early arrival is important. Fortunately I went ahead to get the table that save 40 minutes wait for the late arrival after me. We waited 10 minutes and we get the table for 5 people. The most eaten dish is the Crunchy Fish — white fish batter in corn flake and walnut. As the bus driver has said the fish is very large piece. We have order the Mac Daddy Combo and it come with crunchy fish and two pieces of crab cake. They also have the coconut shrimp combo with fish and the 6 coconut shrimps. The combo fish is $ 13.75 very good price in generous portion. The fish is very fresh. The other two ways you can order the fish are blackened or grilled. We also order the Reuben fried oyster. This is first time I have in this way. The dish is fried oyster then top with cheese and coleslaw and serves in toasted bread. This is a interesting fish that not in the menu and the special wrote in the paper bag. Overall the service is great, the seafood is fresh, cannot ask any better about decorations. You should not deceive by the shack outlook with a good food inside.

This place got awesome seafood and funky decoration. We ordered fry oysters sub, crunch fish and crab cake, soft shell crab sandwich. The material were fresh and the coating was flavorful. The services were great. This restaurant definitely worth trying. They close at 5 pm, so show up before 5.

Kitschy, quirky, cool, and yummy! Everything that makes up Becky Jack’s can be summed up that way. Everyone in the reviews including a friend who lives in the area, and a local on the shuttle back to the Kayak Adventures said to go to Becky Jacks, and get the crunchy fish. Almost our whole table did. It was huge, and tasty, and mine was served with 6 coconut shrimp with a side of their homemade mac and cheese, and 5 bean salad. I also got a glass of sweet sangria and loved it. I tried some of the oyster reuben too. It was good, but just too much mayo or whatever they put on it. The décor was fun and busy like dollar bills on the bar, license plates in random spots, dressed up mannequins, and a spray painted tie dyed car. Loved it. This is a small place with about 6 tables and it can get pretty loud. Food is yummy though. Check out this shack and don’t let the outside deceive you. Just settle in to this cool delicious dive!

BeckyJack, you’ve got some great food! Another great Unilocal find! This miniature gem was fun and delicious. Our original plan was to get something small so we wouldn’t be too full for dinner, that changed when we saw the portions, they were quite large The girlfriend ordered Wild Bills chicken tacos. They weren’t on the menu but we saw them in the review photos. They first drizzle some blue cheese dressing in the tortilla followed by some buffalo chicken, then add lettuce and crumbled blue cheese. The 3 tacos filled the entire plate, something I rarely see. We absolutely loved them! I went withe the crunchy fish platter with fries and mac-n-cheese as my two sides. They take the fish, I don’t know what kind but it was good, coat it in corn flakes, almond slices, and a little bit of love. It was tremendous! The steak fries were great and so was the Mac-n-cheese. I think they were made with ricotta and was great! I’d gladly recommend to anyone passing through. We loved every bit of this hole in the wall!!!
