Five stars for the staff. They were so attentive and took great care of my party of five that included a toddler. The food was really good, too. I’d eat here again.

Went there tonight for the first time with a group of friends. We sat outside on a lovely deck nice breeze it was great. Wensday is all you can eat ribs. Almost everyone ordered them and said it was great. They got so much on first plate one one ask for more. I have been searching for a place to get pasta in with white clam sauce. It is so hard to find when I spotted it on the menu I was so excited. It was good, not as good as mine but good. We will definitely be returning again. Also they they always have 2 for margaritas.

Great seafood, I really enjoyed the fried gator tail & the calamari with spicy marinara. The endless fish basket is actually really good. It’s not top of the line fish, but it’s still very good. They also have homemade tartar and cocktail sauce, I liked both. The only thing is that their prices are a little high. The fried gator tail and calamari are similarly priced(about $ 10 – 11)… I preferred the gator tail, but the calamari comes with a lot more.

Stopped in after a day of kayaking. Had the all you can eat fish basket. The fish was piping hot and the breading was incredible. The fries were just average crinkle cut fries. Cole slaw was good and different than any I had ever had. It will be our go to place when we are in the area from now. on.

We went on a Saturday evening and got seated right away even though the parking lots were packed. Now, I hate to base a rating or review based on service, but I must say that our waitress didn’t seem to care less if we were there or not. We were never told the specials, we actually had to ask for bread(even though the table behind us did not), she walked by us 3 times after we got our meal and never asked how it was and we had to ask for more iced tea. My husband started with the chili which was so-so and I had the fried mushrooms which were good. He had a grouper sandwich that he later told me was barely lukewarm and I had the coconut shrimp(that was hot but a bit overcooked). My sweet potato with cinnamon butter was lukewarm also as were his fries. This was our first time here and probably the last; there are too many other places to try!

Good stuff. We were out wandering around and stumbled upon the Bayport Inn. It didn’t look like much from its outside appearance, but that didn’t stop us. We entered and were immediately seated. We both opted for grouper sandwiches as they were a special on the board. I chose the breaded, and he chose the blackened. My sandwich was huge! It was very tasty and came with crinkle fries and a small portion of coleslaw. The slaw was good. I’m not a huge fan of the crinkle fries, but I ate them. The only thing that I wasn’t too thrilled about was when we requested a couple of to-go cups for our Cokes. We were told that wasn’t allowed because people were taking alcohol to go. I can somewhat understand that, but we had Cokes and no alcohol. It was a little on the strange side.

The food was very basic I was impressed at all I got a cheeseburger and my boyfriend got a Texas Burger. Service was in great they didn’t know will be ordered exactly I asked for ranch on the side didn’t bring it out until I asked a second time also we got gator bites they were very greasy and the server didn’t know what kind of sauce to put with it and it supposed to come with. It’s supposed to come with tartar sauce and they had no idea what to get us. Staff was friendly but Food wasn’t anything great I will not be returning.

Stopped in on Valentines day on our way back from Pine Isand Beach. No problem getting seated even though very busy. We ordered 2 specials with free wine for one dinner and free dessert with the other. Shrimp scampi and broiled shrimp dinners were excellent. Got a side of German potato salad that was great. Service was good too. Very pleasurable experience.

Took a bike ride there today and was pleasantly surprised. The buffalo shrimp and hushpuppies were great as were the fish finger baskets our friends had. It was a basket full of fried cod with two sides. Prices are good for what you get. Great atmosphere for a Sunday with live music, inside and outside seating. Will definitely go back.

So much to love, with a few things to dislike thrown in for good measure. I usually dine outside or have a drink at the outside bar, although I’ve done both inside. I’ve probably been here five times in 2015 and numerous times before. I haven’t seen the stray cats lately, some might consider them a nuisance but they kind of had a charm to them. My last visit there, last week, involved eight of us with an outside table(s). Our server, or the kitchen, really messed up our orders, but after several corrections it eventually worked out. Our server asked me if I wanted an orange slice with my Shock Top, I said yes, of course. I got a Shock Top full of lemons. Oh well. We all shared our plates, and it was all predictably delicious. Except my uncle’s steamed oysters. They were served raw and cold. It was fixed, but he had to sit there for ten minutes watching the rest of us eat. We moved our citronella candles from the table tops to the floor beneath the table, this seemed to help spare our legs of the ravages of the no-see-ums that came out at dusk. Lots of character here and worth the drive if you are inclined. I wouldn’t call it a ‘biker bar’ by any stretch, but expect to see lots of nice bikes parked outside. Also, the young guy that served us had perfect hair. Can’t knock him for that, at least.

Had lunch here today. Allison was our server. Great job. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our lunch. The surf and turf was outstanding. The mojitos delish! We were extremely happy with our visit and will be back. Thank you Allison.

I had the seafood stir fry. The shrimp and scallops were good quality, the scallops were huge. They told us they buy fresh seafood everyday. When you look at the menu the prices are shocking but in reality it’s a really good deal because the portions are enough to feed 3 – 4 people with one entrée. I also had the ranch salad with my entrée me the ranch was amazing and creamy. The corn bread is very good, very moist and sweet. Awesome quality and definitely awesome quality, you’ll definitely take a to go box home

Excellent place to get fresh fish! Atmosphere was great also. I had the fried shrimp and scallops and the scallops were cooked just right, and they were sweet just like they should be.

Visited this restaurant out of convenience and curiosity several months ago with my partner. Hands down, one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Waitress couldn’t be bothered by our polite complaints about the gross food, and we were given the check in full. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Atmosphere(Score 5) — Not one in the area with a view like this. Calamari(Score 2) — Just batter … plain with residual oil in some of the bodies. Blackened Grouper(Score 5) — Was my dish and was fresh and excellent! Margaritas(Score 3) — Kinda’ what you should expect for 2 for 1 prices … small cups and not too great. However, does the job for $ 6. Just bring the aspirin. Won’t leave Hungry! All portions are pretty big! Place is kinda’ cool altogether. Lived here for 5 years and thought it was a biker bar. Had no idea it was a restaurant. Air-conditioned inside with a good amount of seating and a huge patio setting with another bar outside. Fabulous view and an annoying bird called«charlie»(white egret that is in one of the photos someone else took) that will beg for food. Yes, we sat outside! All the fried food had no flavoring and the grease temperature had to been low because everything came out on the greasy side. With the Calamari, grease started dripping out of one of the bodies when I picked it up. But that’s how it was with all the fried food … I’m going to end the fried food there. *** Fritters are not made here but need to say that they are worth the $ 5 for the app. Burgers DID come out exactly as ordered plus they were not all the same shape. To me, that implies they must make them here. The three that had them … worst I got was«not bad» Fish sandwich was the grouper which is not on the menu. I found out about it on here. Enough of the fried stuff, I got it blackened. Came out in pieces but could tell that it WAS fresh and extremely good. Would HIGHLY recommend this … if any other way but fried. Overall — I gave it a 4 stars because of the view it has over the marsh lands. There isn’t one restaurant in the area that we’ve been to with this scenic Floridian look. We got together for a mid-afternoon gathering. Was in the off hours so it was pretty dead. By the time we left, happy hour had kicked in and the locals were off. Still, we found it relaxing and a hidden place to have a peaceful meal without the rush. I would recommend this place to anyone outta’ the area … :) just steer clear or limit the fried stuff and you’ll leave feeling good. Wife had to lay down as soon as we got home … we haven’t had that much fried food in months!

If you want a true Florida salt marsh coastline ‘Everglades’-y atmosphere, then Bayport Inn is just for you! You can’t get any closer to it unless you’re wading in the water. Sitting out on the deck gets you up close and personal with everything Florida, including a few bugs, gnats and other Florida UFO’s(Unidentified Flying Objects, of course). It’s a great place to catch some of our glorious sunsets, too. Fabulous fiancée accompanies me fairly regularly, when we’d like a shot of sunset, a drizzle of rain or a flood of food. Yes, we have had service problems at times. Occasionally, it takes a while to get noticed if you enter from the outside deck area. Other times we’ve waited a bit too long for someone to take our initial drink order, or for refills. I haven’t felt this to be a problem however, for when we’re here we’re on ‘beach time’ and in no particular hurry. Between people watching, leaning over the railing in hopes of seeing the omnipresent alligator, and those sunsets there’s plenty to do while waiting. As for the food? Most items we’ve tried have been very good. No fine dining or linen tablecloths here, just pretty darn good food at very reasonable prices. Our favorite menu item is the Chicken Souvlaki Platter. You get 2 skewers of delicious chicken, along with french fries, a small Greek salad and some tzatziki sauce(a yogurt, cucumber dill sauce). Very filling and flavorful, at $ 10.95. Another big hit is the All You Can Eat fish, for $ 9.95. Fried fish complete with french fries and slaw, this meal will catch any angler — fork, knife and tartar! I’ve always enjoyed this one, even when lovable fiancée says«No UFO’s!»(NO Ultimate Fried Objects!). Geez, she’s always watching out for my arteries… shhhhhhh, I sneaked some anyway. Bottom line?(another fishing quip, he he) — IF you’re NOT in a hurry and you’d like some decent food, atmosphere and possibly some live music, then head on out to Bayport Inn. Lots of motorcycles find their way past Weeki Wachee, down to the ‘Y’ at the end of the winding road, and land on the deck at ‘B’ ‘I’. Hop on your bike or load up in The Family Truckster and head due west for a different experience. ‘Y’ not?

Around the area it gets good word of mouth, so we went by it. This place is a diamond in the rough. First impression of it, was it seemed like a small mom and pop place. On the outside, there isn’t really great signage to guid you in. However, it seems like both doors outside allowed you entry. This place just keeps going. There is quite a bit of seating for how small it looks on the outside. Inside the décor is that of a shanty. They have a good sized bar with great beer prices. Liquor is overpriced, but they have a nice selection. The menu is full of seafood specials and for hose that don’t like seafood will be delighted to see some crowd favorites. Most of our table ordered the all you can eat fish. The breading was delicious and the fish, Swai, tasted similar to Cod. You weren’t supposed to share, but we managed to taste it. I ordered the grouper sandwich. I didn’t see it on the menu, but it never hurts to ask the waitress. The breading on that was the same, and I can honestly say one of the best grouper I have ever had. I wasn’t too surprised as a lot of what was on the menu was MKT price and I assumed most was fresh, as that is how it tasted. Staff was great and attentive. Very accommodating and allowed us to take some fish home that we shouldn’t have. If you’re in the area, or a local, I would highly recommend trying this place out. I sure will be going back on my next trip out to Weeki Wachee/Pine Island.
