Aldi’s Grocery Store

Good Prices, nice staff, easy checkout. I buy a lot of my veggies at Aldi, and the prices can’t be beat.

Well this particular location was, in a word, gross.
The floors were dirty, sticky and stained. There were fruit flies everywhere and hardly any selection.
I can see why some people are so anti-aldi…if they came here.

Funny story about this Aldi!
Love this place because as part of an underage alcohol sting operation, I tried to buy the knock off Corona 6-​Pack of beer. They did not sell to me. I hate the quarter/​cart thing!

They just remodeled the store, so the way that i remember where things were is NOT the way things are in the new remodeled store.

Ok so I vowed never to shop here, I don’t know why, maybe cause I’m a high maintenance bitch? Who knows…
Regardless, I broke that vow and checked it out. I pretty much found EVERYTHING I was looking for. I must admit though that it felt weird not buying brand name. The food though, it came out exactly as it would if I had used brand names. Uh-​mazing! So, yea, I’ll definitely check this place out again.
One thing that I HATE about Aldi though is the fact that they make you pay for a friggin cart! What is that? But I refuse, I REFUSE. Also, bring your own grocery bags. Otherwise you can try finding a decent box to put your items in.

Love this store. Great prices and good quality make it a regular stop. Friendly employees make it more enjoyable. It sits behind the Walgreens on Naperville Rd, so you might miss it, but it’s a great store.
Remember to bring your quarter to get a cart (you get it back when you leave) and bring your shopping bags or boxes to carry home the groceries in.
They keep their prices low by not having baggers or extra staff to go outside and look for carts.
I gave them 4 stars only because you don’t always get the same brand name items. They might have a new, popular item there as a promotion and not have it again, so stock up when you see it.
