Great place, great staff, great food. Even though it was packed because it was a Friday night, the wait was only fifteen minutes. Then we were seated in a crappy location so we asked to be moved. Without delay we were moved to a better spot. Everyone was super nice and the food was great!

Matt knows how to pour a drink. His customer service and attention to detail is so on point it makes my blackened heart feel again. Oh, and the salmon… ohhhh the salmon… Cheers!

Today at approx. 6ish we met up w/our daughter and son in law. We had one of the Best waitresses in a long time, Daisey far exceeded our expectations. Usually, I don’t put such high expectations on Restaurants anymore. So, of course our waitress went beyond our expectations, Daisey gets a perfect 15 out of a 1 – 10 range, 10 being the highest score. The food was delicious, fresh and the meat was cooked to our liking. We were checked on constantly, while Daisey was multitasking like a pro. Never neglecting her other customers. We plan on returning very soon.

We used the $ 42 campfire deal. One appetizer, two mains and four sides, and a dessert. We also got some dirty martinis with blue cheese olives. The artichoke app was something I would rub on my face, it was that good. Wedge salad and Mac & cheese was equally, delicious. The prime rib and shrimp were fantastic, as well as the dessert. All and all, it is a great atmosphere with great food and awesome drinks. One downside, the demographic is older. Much older. What can you do, seniors love their deals. We will definitely be back here.

I write reviews to really acknowledge the service at restaurants and tonight Alyssa did an amazing job, she was attentive and very friendly. The service industry is going downhill fast and I’m very pleased to have a great experience and a wonderful night out with my wife. Being a manager myself in the restaurant industry I am very judgmental and picky about how things should go, but I have no complaints! Thank you Alyssa!

Was very happy with the Black Angus in Whittier. The appetizer, 2 entrees. 2 sides, and a great dessert is such a good deal, with the coupon received at the house. The service, ambiance and food are excellent. You can’t beat the Campfire Appetizer, which is always great. Our party enjoyed our time at this consistently fine quality establishment that does not break the bank. Returned for a holiday visit. The rack of lamb was superb. Service was wonderful, even on a very busy day. Convenient parking.

I don’t like going to chain restaurants but I decided to give Black Angus a try and it was great. I ordered the 11oz sirloin with Ceasar salad and mashed potatoes. The steak was perfectly seared on the outside and almost the medium rare temp I requested on the inside. The salad had park cheese flakes, croutons, romaine, and just the right amount of Ceasar dressing. My other half had the half rack of baby back ribs with a Ceasar salad and a loaded baked potato. He loved it. We were served two complimentary bread baskets which were warm and delicious. Happy hour meant my wine was half off and the Canyon Road is a good Cabernet. Was too full for dinner but definitely coming back. The service was perfect. Lisa was our server and we didn’t go one moment without full glasses of water. My steak came after my salad was done. She didn’t once make us feel rushed. Great service. Delicious food. What else can you ask for? This girl has been converted. Finished my meal with a white chocolate bread pudding dessert and the butterscotch sauce was to die for. Go try this restaurant and ask for Lisa as your server.

If you make a reservation at this place for dinner, be sure you get the name of the person who is taking your reservation. Made a reservation on Monday for dinner on Thursday. Long story short, they did not have my reservation. Not looking forward to this place.

We started with a couple of drinks while we waited for our customer and his wife to arrive, well more than a couple. Once they arrived we got seated near the bar and ordered appetizers. We ordered the bulls eye chicken wings it’s not a big order only about a half-dozen wings cooked crisp and tossed in Chipotle-Buffalo sauce. Definitely spicy though! Next we got a couple of Cesar salads and a couple of Wedge salads. You cant really mess up a Cesar salad, well I guess you could if it was wilted or something but this was not the case here. The wedge Salad was literally half a head of iceberg lettuce with dressing and toppings dumped on it… ))FLASHBACK(( Reminds me if when I was a kid in the 70’s and my parents took us to see Bill Cosby in Reno for a dinner show and the menu stated a Romain wedge salad, I remember thinking when the brought out the salad course wow that’s it? They just chopped the thing in half length wise and dump some dressing on it. Can I get a knife or should just gnaw on it? Not much effort or thought there… oh, no, my mom said, that’s fancy. I’m still not buying it. Everyone went for the ¾ Pound Cut Prime Ribs(12oz) Seasoned with a dry rub, seared and roasted to perfection. Served house-made aujus and fresh creamy horseradish sauce. Mine was the only one ordered Med-rare(hence the only meat picture I refuse to publish pictures of over cooked meat when its customer ordered). The rest of my party, ordered them med-well which to me misses the point of prime rib. Mine was tender, tasty and had just enough fat to flavor it up. Throw in a Baked potato and I was a happy eater… well, wait the broccoli wedge it was cold and limp. I wasn’t going to eat it anyway. So over all for a mid level chain store, it was a good dining experience with good friends.

Thank you our waiter Richard such a great dinner. You have a good sense of humor yet in the process, good customer service. You would be a great manager one day. The prime rib end cut was well cook, hamburgers are grand. Fire grill chicken was filling. We are part of the Black Angus club so we got a discount on camp fire feast. Still a great place to go every once and a while. Nice have gone back to the ol’ décor.

Sorry! Came around 12:00 p.m. on a holiday. There were only around 2 tables occupied! But we were told to wait! We were told that the waitress hasn’t arrived.(they will come in 5 mins.) Rather than being led to a table to wait, we were to wait Sorry it seemed awkward so we left. Something doesn’t seem right…

Maybe I am just really picky, but I generally do not like chain restaurant food and this was no exception. I came here because I received a gift cert for Christmas, so I came here for dinner on a Friday evening with the bf. We were able to make a reservation online(a big plus) and were seated at our reserved time. The restaurant was PACKED, by the way, so we were excited to have been seated promptly. We ordered the mixed appetizer platter with potato skins, buffalo chicken tenders, fried zucchinis, and shrimp cocktail, a prime rib dinner and a filet mignon dinner, and of course we enjoyed some cocktails with our meal. I wasn’t impressed with any of it and have had way better prepared steaks at home. The flavors were generic and bland-nothing really special to set it apart from cafetaria food. This is typical of chain restaurants, I suppose. At least the steaks weren’t overcooked-we like our steaks medium rare. To be fair, it’s not really the restaurant’s fault for getting 2 stars, but I just prefer flavors in my food beyond just a lot of salt and butter. I gave it an extra star for the great service and fun atmosphere. The bar area was a total hit with us-great bartenders who are friendly and attentive. You get a great mix of older and younger crowds all squeezing in the bar area for some conversation and drinks while they wait for their table. If you love chain restaurant flavors and want a fun environment to dine at, Black Angus will be great for you. If you have a picky palate, then I would suggest you skip Black Angus and seek out something else on Unilocal

Think of this place as a step above Sizzler. There’s wait staff to take your order, unlike Sizzler where you have to place your order at a counter. There’s also a full blown bar, but no salad bar. That said, the food is mediocre and the coupons are pretty sneaky. They have a lunch special coupon, $ 8.99 for any of the lunch menu items except the high noon specials. Sounds good, right? BUT you have to buy a drink to get the special price. A soda costs $ 2.95. So basically you’re paying full price and only $ 0.95 for a drink. Why don’t they just reduce the prices of their drinks and just say lunch special $ 2.00 off all drinks. That’ll get the old alcoholics in… Hahaha Back to the food: the kids Mac and cheese tasted like old cheese was used. When my 6 year old turns down food, you know it’s bad. My wife’s filet mignon sandwich had way too much cheese and my beef dip, which started out tender, was fatty and way too rare. The cheeseburger sliders my 2 year old had he loved. We’ve been here for steaks before and they were okay, but my wife had to send it back because she wanted medium well and she got medium rare. They took the steak back and recooked it. Aren’t whey supposed to give you new food once it touches your mouth? How many other people have their germs on the grill?! For an okay steak house, I guess this place is okay. For a better steak at the same prices, try Outback or, better yet, grill it yourself. You’ll be sure to get the steak the cut and way you like it.

Been coming here since I was a kid. Its been through good times, slow times and other times. Its somewhat of a staple with my family if we want a standard meal, not too frilly, not too expensive, but always tasty. Came in the most recent time for the coupon deal with steak, lobster, shrimp, two sides for $ 20. Wow. Cant go wrong with that deal. Steak was cooked fine, its a sirloin so it was average. Lobster was good, shrimp are tasty, sides always good. They have a full bar, lots of TV’s. This place gets busy. Here on a Thursday at 6PM and there was a wait! Whittier rolls up early in some parts so get her before the crowd!

Typical Friday evening, slightly busy. Open table yourself a reservation. Last minute change of plans had us meet up with in laws. Reservations made it super easy. The wait for our food was about 45 minutes. Not sure if that is typical. I wasn’t complaining. Plenty of cold Guinness on tap. Kids meals came out quick which was a positive, bit skimpy on fries– 10 or so on plate. Take advantage of the campfire feast for 2, regular price $ 58 but if you have a coupon from their rewards program or the flyers in mail it is $ 41 for up to 6 people. Comes with appetizer and dessert as well. Total was 159 added 40 tip for 4 adults and 2 children. Plenty of beers ordered. Berlyn our waitress/server was awesome. She was super patient with us and made sure to check in with us regularly. If you want some decent food in a nice atmosphere then this place is right for you. Happy eating!

This steakhouse far the best in this town, I’ve been coming here for a while and has never disappointed me all. Prices are reasonable and the food is great. Even for a appetizer and a beer. There bar is kind of small but never full.

If I had one word to describe this place, it would be: SALTY. I literally think I fulfilled my percent daily value of sodium from just this one meal… I came here with my family because we had some coupons. Long story short, I tried some of the appetizer plate, prime rib with green beans and loaded baked potato sides, and my sister’s fish and chips. Almost every savory food was loaded with excessive amounts of sodium. The worst offender was probably the green beans. I felt like it had been drowned in salt and lemon… how can one mess that up?! The chicken tenders on the appetizer plate and my mom’s steak soup were also noticeably salty. I wonder if the chefs taste their food before serving them because if they do, something has happened to their taste buds because they’re serving consistently sodium-laden dishes. Black Angus, please do something about this… On the plus side, the prime rib was actually delicious. Yes, it was still slightly too salty for me(I couldn’t dip it in the au jus because literally salt bath) but it was tender and moist. I gobbled it up dry. My sister’s fish and chips was average. My mom’s bbq ribs was good, though. Moist and came right off the bones. Also, that honey rye bread they serve you is delicious. I don’t think I’ll willingly come back to Black Angus anytime soon. It’s pricey, even with the coupon, and I had a hard time consuming the salty foods. The few rights couldn’t fix all their wrongs. Sorry.

I know Black Angus really has a bad rap on service, food and overall just no one really likes it. But my father on Fathers Day wanted to eat at Black Angus so we all went to eat at this Whittier location. When your dad wants something you will always try to get it for him and he really enjoyed his meal and so did I! Service was so quick even though it was super busy. Food came out the way we ordered it and no complaints! I ordered my steak medium rare and yes it was the right color and pinkness ! The taste was pretty fine with me and my dad ate all his food which totally made me happy. A memorable moment for me and I won’t forget it. I’m not always able to see my parents all the time but when I do it has been all good memories and fun moments.

WEDNESDAYNIGHTPRIME and MUDSPECIAL for $ 17.99 is GREAT! Catch it while it last! They have fresh bread, great prime rib with delicious seasoning, delicious loaded potatoes, and lovely mud pie. That is what I had and it was great and I could not help but vocalize the deliciousness that was in my mouth! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It was great to split for a smaller lunch or to have as a full plate for a dinner. The service was OK, not too friendly, but not bad service. Everything was very clean and it had a nice woodsie-fancy-cabin feel!
