The food was good. Had several tapas, especially liked the gauco– mame. However the drinks(other than beer) left a lot to be desired. Wine arrived in a sniffer, and was small pour. Which would have been ok if they were busy– maybe and had ran out of glassware? But there were only half a dozen people at 8pm . Dirty Martini had no olive juice. Instead tasted more like mint mouthwash. The decore is cheap and too open. But the live entertainment was nice. Overall I would say it’s ok. Not expensive, so no reason to get mad. It’s a shame– the food deserves better.

I tried out Triangle with a friend one evening and was surprised when entering the building. The interior isn’t well thought out and a bit disjointed. I think with the name Triangle it would lend to a modern and industrialized theming but it was lacking severely in that department — maybe because I’m a designer I’m a bit more picky but with some design upgrades this place could become a staple for locals. The food was great, I had the shrimp tacos and loaded potato bites, unfortunately I only had water due to spending the day traveling around to various wineries with friends so I’ll be back to try out some of their drinks. Live music was occurring and that was pretty awesome to have that and sets them apart. Overall I enjoyed it, I’ll go back, but I’d like to see a design makeover for this place.

We came here on a Friday evening and there was a live band playing– they were not too loud and we were able to have a conversation without shouting. The place is dark inside with low lighting, at first glance the ambiance is somewhere between looking like a club and restaurant all at once. The booths are weirdly placed in the restaurant and it kind of threw us off. That being said, the drinks and food were outstanding. The Aged White Cheddar Mac n Cheese had a perfect amount of cheesy goodness on there without it being too over or underwhelming. We added spinach to it which was a nice addition. The twice potato bites were packed with different flavors from the green onion sour cream and bacon bits. Very savory. The chicken Handi is a curry dish served over rice, the curry sauce was well balanced and not over powering. The shrimp diablo tacos were ok, we wanted to get the blackened fish tacos but they were out that evening. We also got the Sweet and Hot wings which had a sweet and spicy sauce, different and very tasty. All in all a great experience and our waitress constantly checked up on us, great service! Thank you Triangle for a great tapas experience!

Came to see Good Shot Judy. They were amazing. Ordered the pork nachos while there which were fantastic. Also got a Gobbler Mountain maple stout which was probably one of the best ciders I’ve ever had!

I’m surprised at all of the high marks. With small plate restaurants I expect an adventurous menu, but this one put me in mind of muchies I would make for friends coming over to watch football. And by muchies«I would make» I literally mean things I could have easily cooked myself. The meat dishes were the best — wings and spare ribs were decent — while most of the others ranged from pedestrian(wonton chips with guac which could be slapped together in seconds) to awful(«Dirty Bleu Chips» which appeared to be the last few crumbs they had in a bag of chips they bought at Krogers.) The cocktails were tragically bad. My wife ordered a Cosmo, and while she does not like strong drinks she couldn’t detect any Vodka in it, at all. I took a sip and confirmed it tasted like fruit juice. My Manhattan smelled and tasted like I was drinking bitters straight from the bottle. I’ve never returned a drink in my life, but I couldn’t possibly finish this one. To their credit, they made no fuss and removed the charge from our ticket, but I would order from the beer or wine menu. In all, I suspect you could probably find six or seven decent dishes on the menu. And with the live entertainment it could be a decent evening of beer, wine, and food. Also, it was relatively inexpensive. But the whole menu just seemed… lazy. It’s not going to be a «go to» spot for us.

Excellent food and many unique choices to choose from. We especially loved the Reuben egg rolls.

If you are a 20 or 30 something year old, this will probably not be your type of place. The ambience, if you can even call it that, is extremely dated and cheap. Also, be aware that they almost always have a live band and it may not be the best thing you’ve experienced. That was certainly the case for us this evening. I was excited to try this place due to the many positive reviews, but please do not go here thinking you’re going to an amazing craft cocktail bar. My Manhattan was extremely watered down and my husbands drink was overly sweet(especially since the ingredients did not include anything sweet). We only ordered one dish since we were not excited about staying long and spending a ton of money(as always– tapas is expensive). The toast points of the day were fine. Nothing great, but ok. Overall, I would not recommend.

I was really excited to try Triangle after reading all the rave reviews about this place. Sadly, I was not impressed. Food: –Portabella bites: I expected a lot more than what I received for $ 6. Like, that dish could easily be $ 3 and they’d still be making a profit off of it. And it wasn’t even particularly tasty. –Sweet & Hot wings: I liked the glaze a lot, but parts of the chicken were badly burned. –Chicken parm sliders: My friend ordered these, and they seemed to be the best dish of the night based off of the one bite I tried Drink: The friend I was with also ordered a cocktail, which was knowledgeably recommended by our server. It was pretty strong but still tasty, and worth the $ 8. I’m sure their other cocktails are as quality. Ambiance: This was the part of Triangle I liked the best. The live jazz band that played(we went on a Friday night) was playing at the perfect volume level and was interactive with the crowd. I enjoyed them a lot! Overall, I’d probably go back to try one or two of their other dishes and cocktails, and definitely for the ambiance. However, nothing super to write home about as of yet.

My family stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and were treated to both the regular and Sunday brunch menu of small plates. Our many selections were equally enjoyed by the adults and small children. Similar to many reviewers, we especially enjoyed the aged cheddar mac and mahi fish tacos. Off the brunch menu, the stuffed French toast and Johnny cakes were absolutely our favorites. The smaller yet appropriate serving sizes allowed for us to try several more small plates(spare ribs, chicken parm sliders), and we enjoyed them all. We were served quickly and the staff & kitchen accommodating. We look forward to returning in the future.

Since my original review(which I recommend reading for context), I have returned to the Triangle many times, mostly for their trivia nights, which have become somewhat of a tradition amongst some of my friends. As I’ve continued to explore the menu, a few things have become clear: a) their drink menu is better than the food menu(notably: the Coscorron Royale), though a bit overpriced, b) on average, the food is better than the menu items I happened to select on my first visit(notably: blackened fish tacos, various toasts of the day), and c) the menu is being constantly updated in a to test and remove menu items, and it seems to be working. While I would still hesitate to recommend the Triangle, this is one to watch.

How many other places in this town stock Campari AND Aperol? The Triangle is nothing less than the finest cocktail bar in Williamsburg. Where every other restaurant is serving up nothing but wine, beer, and the cheapest Blue-Curaçao-using, sweet-citrus-vodka basing swill, I find nothing but inspired options like their custom Sbagliato and Savoy Sling. And the food. Dear god, the food. A small-plates menu manages to fuse and represent flavors from many times and places, with a distinctly American palette. Service? Bartenders and management in particular know their stuff back and front. If you’re game, you can get the history of VA craft beer in a few minutes.

Went on a Friday night around 8:30 and band was setting up. Live band was cool. We ordered about 6 different dishes and everything was amazing!!! Nothing disappointed us — food wise. Atmosphere is cool and the chef came out to speak with us about the dishes which I thought was cool too. Crowd was a mix of young and old(trying to be young). I took off a star because band was loud and my date and I had to yell to have a convo. Maybe more suited for big group than date night.

Delicious food. It’s fusion tapas. The music is alternative, but the food makes up for it. Best food in Williamsburg. Try the currywurst gnocchi or the baha steak tacos.

This is a nice restaurant. Really different. Great choices to choose from. We had the crabby fruit beer/lemonade and blue ribbon shandy which was a mixture of lager beer and crabby fruit(beer)– that taste like lemonade. We also had the aged white cheddar Mac and cheese with chorizo(sausage) and for dessert we ordered the bread pudding with peaches and funnel cake fries with chocolate ganache. The presentations of drinks and foods were really nice. The food taste great. Nothing was too much or lacked anything. The prices were really good and reasonable. Service was great. Everyone was really friendly and attentive. Tuesday’s are the only night there is no events going on with the exception of a trivia game.” We will definitely come back here if ever in the area and hopefully not on Tuesday to enjoy the events here.

Decided to try something different and I’m so glad we did! We started with the guacamame with wonton chips. It was a flavorful combination of avocado and edamame with perfectly crisp chips! Next we had the egg rolls. Shrimp, chorizo and a zesty sauce, what more could you ask for? The fish tacos were fresh and flavorful and the arugula/orange salad was a refreshing finish! Finally, we had the funnel cake fries with chocolate ganache! We had gone out to the patio and the bartender wanted to get them to us while they were warm so he brought them to us! If you have a sweet tooth, this dessert is for you! My husband wanted to lick the plate! There was a live band and we were shocked that the place wasn’t packed on a Friday night! I would absolutely recommend trying this new hotspot, you won’t be disappointed.

I went with two friends on a Sunday evening to hear Joe’s Day Off and had a terrific dinner. We tried most of the small plates on the menu throughout the course of the evening and there was nothing that I would not have ordered again. Everything was well-prepared, tasty and plentiful for three to try. The service was attentive without being overbearing and everyone seemed to be genuinely interested in whether everything was okay with our experience. This is a great place to go with a group and we will definitely be back.

Wonderful! Looking for something local without spending $ 100 like most places around here and have always liked tapas menus. We shared Mac & cheese with poblano peppers– large serving and wanted to lick the plate. Also had the meatball sliders, another winner. Wanted a salad so had the Cesar, did not disappoint. I wish we had a bigger group or were hungrier to try more. Our server was pleasant an efficient

Food was great. My favorite was the aged cheddar Mac and cheese. I added the chorizo to it and it was amazing I was told it was made in house. We went here on a Friday night and loved live music too. The server said they planned on having live music a lot. The atmosphere was nice and warm.
