With the bad reviews we were a bit hesitant. However, once we arrived we were very surprised on how clean the room was and how spacious it was. The employees were very sweet. If we needed something, they brought it to you immediately. The laundry room on site was a bonus. The breakfast is just your normal free breakfast of Waffles, Bagels, Fruit etc but we enjoyed it. The bed was very comfortable and the blankets and sheets were cleaned. The kitchen was spacious and actually very nice. Would definitely return here again.

Where to start? We checked in and were greeted by a very friendly man at the front desk. They have all sorts of snacks you can buy in the front, so that was nice to see. We pulled around and parked and grabbed our stuff. We opened the exterior door and the first thing I see is wall to wall blood red carpeting, with stains all over it. And the smell of industrial cleaners almost knocked my pants off. We reach our room and… have you ever smelled someone’s testicles after they ran 5 miles in 100° weather? That’s what our room smelled like, sweaty sack. If I were alone, I would have requested another room, my boyfriend on the other hand said we’re staying put and proceeded to try to open the window. The window is an ancient relic from 1979 that is so jammed in its track you can barely get it open. And when we did manage to get it open, it was only about 4 inches. In our room there’s a bed, a chair, and a small sofa. The kitchen is equipped with 2 spoons /2 forks/2 knives/4 cups/4 plates/2 bowls and a frying pan and sauté pan. Also a toaster and a coffee maker. The bathroom appeared clean, there were 2 bars of soap and 1 very tiny bottle of shampoo. After surveying this 1980s time capsule of a room, we’re trying to plan out our trip and all of a sudden there’s a terrible storm outside, and the power goes out. We ended up laying down to nap, what else are you going to? Oh man, wish I hadn’t. The sheets felt sticky, not like something was spilled on them, but like they hadn’t been properly washed. The green coverlet over the bed smelled TERRIBLE, that was immediately kicked onto the floor. The comforter had no cover, that’s just unsanitary. We ended up going to the store and buying an air freshener and disinfectant spray to try to kill the smell of sweaty sack, but it only helped for a few minutes. The complimentary breakfast was served from 6:30 — 9:30, my boyfriend made it once and said it wasn’t anything great. So, our room is completely dated, it smells like a sweaty testicle, and oh yes, the curtain had holes in the liner so the sun just came shining in… not great for a person who has trouble sleeping. If we were to return, I don’t think we’d stay here again.

Not a fancy place but perfectly acceptable. Nice room, seperate sitting area and TV. Kitchen adequate, but sparse. Breakfast typcial low end continental, bagels and doughnuts, but acceptable. Good value for money. Friendly staff.

Great price on Corporate Lodging program, if you are normal traveler be aware this place is frequently booked full, mostly with construction and business travelers on Corporate lodging program.

Booked a three star«hotel» through Hotwire for $ 80/night x 2 nights. MainStay Suites was definitely not three star material. I would classify it as a motel instead. They boast their«unique» concept of fully-equipped kitchens in every room and maid service every once in a while(rather than daily). The perks: Free parking — though not abundant at night, you’ll have to park in the front lot Free wi-fi — although too overloaded to connect to with my phone Complimentary continental breakfast from 6am-9am — sorry, didn’t wake up in time to try Fully-equipped kitchen — some cups/plates/two burner stove/fridge/dishwasher/sink/utensils/coffee maker; note, they didn’t have any spoons in my room… Couch/office table/office chair The reality: –This hotel is extremely run down. All of the furniture looked like it had weathered multiple seasons beyond their prime. The office chair in my room had so many stains on it, I didn’t want to brave sitting in it for fear of dirtying my pants. –The«amenities» include two bars of soap and a tiny bottle of «conditioning shampoo» meaning: ladies with long locks, you’ve been warned… bring your own conditioner –The beds: don’t let the disgusting comforter touch you is all I have to say… The pillows are pathetically soft and the mattress is very hard. At least the sheets smelled clean. Overall this is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. I would have been more accepting of the condition of the room/amenities if we had paid $ 45/night, it’s definitely not worth the«bargain» of $ 80/night from Hotwire. If you’re looking for a place just to crash, MainStays suffices, however, don’t expect any of the luxuries of staying at a hotel.

Booked here through hotwire since just about every room in the city was occupied.(I was disappointed that I only saved $ 8 off of the published rate, but thems the breaks.) Supposedly it offers free wi-fi but I couldn’t connect to any of the routers– they all said«over capacity,» whatever that means. Staff is nice and polite, rooms are clean, but basic– nothing fancy.

The beds here suck, but what really irked us was when we were charged $ 88 for our stay for a night, yet our miniature schnauzer was charged $ 100 for his stay for the night. They never informed us of this extravagant fee during booking nor did they provide any accommodations for this price! We won’t be returning!

Three story property, interior entrances, elevator, fitness area, courtyard with grilling facilities. I stayed here for four nights. If you are not familiar with the MainStay Suites concept, the rooms all have a kitchen(full size refrigerator, stove top, microwave, pots, pans, utensils) and have limited housecleaning services(rooms are not cleaned daily unless you request it). I had a king bed, sofa, and recliner as well in my room. This is a very nice property. Everything was clean and worked well. Staff is very professional and polite. Certainly enjoyed my stay here more than my recent Wilmington stay at the Comfort Inn. I will make you aware that this property shares parking with the adjacent Sleep Inn, so coming in after 9 pm or so may make your parking a bit more difficult. I found this to be a nice alternative to the normal hotel experience.
