If you want the best subs in south Florida you must come to the Pink Sub! You walk into a fun friendly atmosphere with the owner greeting you as if you are family. The Beacon is my sub of choice which knocks my socks off each time I order it. Here’s another wonderful surprise, homemade cookies chocolate dipped twinkles! Clearly the best sub shop around!

Would of had a five star rating but the artichoke on the admiral was disappointing. Most it it was discarded Service was fast and friendly and the choices of fillings for the subs were all tempting.

Super good food and a catchy concept and atmosphere! I love this place, new fave spot on the Drive in Wilton Manors a smaller city thats very gay friendly in Fort Lauderdale. Dawn, the owner, is a hoot and perfect for conversation too!

This review has been at the back of my mind for a while now. It’s the old case of food versus atmosphere. I had extremely high expectations based on previous reviews, so maybe I set myself up and didn’t give The Pink Submarine a fair chance. The atmosphere: This place is so awesome! There is street parking and also a parking lot a tad south of it. As you walk inside, you are whisked away deep under the ocean with a beautiful mural with fish and a scuba diver. There is a typical sandwich making line to your right and, ahead, they have delicious things like chocolate dipped oreos and twinkies. The menu has a nautical/naughty theme for every sandwich. Dawn is pretty darn amazing. She makes you feel right at home and will share funny stories with you. Her hospitality definitely kicks this place to the next level and, if the review was based on her alone, it would be a 5, without a doubt. However! I feel like I was a bit mislead about the actual food. I’ve had two different subs while here. I first had«The Buoy» with roast beef, gouda, horseradish mayo, peppers, and alfafa sprouts. It was okay, not bad but not amazing. The mayo wasn’t as spicy as I thought it was going to be. The second time around, I had«The Captain.» I’ve seen pictures of this monster sandwich as was stoked to try it. Alas, I think I hyped myself up too much for this one; it wasn’t as amazingly delicious as I expected. The mac and cheese was microwaved in a styrofoam cup and then put on the sandwich which made me think it wasn’t home made(maybe I was wrong thinking that it would have been?). If it was homemade, it didn’t taste like it. The potato sticks, or fritas, were the only thing that gave the sammy any texture at all; every soft ingredient melded together. The sandwiches are $ 8 and 8 inches and they use Boar’s Head meats and cheeses. I honestly feel a little bad leaving a 3 star review among the sea of 5s. The Pink Submarine is a step above a Subway, maybe on par with Publix subs, and below a place like The Cheese Course and Day Market Kitchen. Even with feeling this way, I’m probably still going to go back because of Dawn. She’s that cool.

As far as I know, parking is metered on the street right in front of the restaurant. Luckily, I didn’t have to search for a spot. The meters take credit cards as well so that’s a bonus. I love the paintings on the walls inside the restaurant. When I entered, I was greeted and said they would be right with me. It seemed like they were still prepping(maybe they had a big lunch rush before 12:30?) I ordered the Skipper sandwich with turkey, provolone, avocado, lettuce, tomato, crunchy onions and alfalfa sprouts on a multi-grain roll. All their subs are 8″ and $ 8.00 per sub. They have a combo offer to add a soda and a side for a total of $ 10. They have white, wheat and multi-grain bread. They can even make your sandwich into a salad if you don’t want the carbs. I even noticed a little case full of chocolates. I came with high expectations, but as they created my sandwich I could see that they weren’t putting a considerable amount of meat on the sub. The turkey didn’t reach to the end of the roll and there was only about 3 skinny slices. Sure enough, when I was towards the butt ends of the sandwich, I found a lot excess bread with no meat left to eat it with. I will say that this was an extremely refreshing and light sub, but I didn’t really think it was better than what I’ve had elsewhere. I guess I should have gone all out and ordered the Starboard(stuffed with cranberry relish & stuffing) or the Captain(stuffed with mac & cheese). But I’ve had loads of subs that were light and refreshing that didn’t need something heavy like mac & cheese or stuffing to make it better. And it doesn’t bother me too much, but I will note that they use a microwave to reheat their chicken and their sloppy joe mixture before they put it in the sandwich. Service was fantastic, they were really nice and accommodating, but I have a few other joints that I think trump this joint in the sub department.

What a great find! Though famous for Meatball Fridays, I got the ham, apple, brie & balsamic sandwich. My husband got one with Mac & cheese and potato stix. We both got the loaded potato salad. Delicious! Even better, we enjoyed a nice visit with the owner, who is a lot of fun — as well as a talented cook/chef. I recommend them anytime you are looking for lunch or catering. I would eat here every week if I lived here.
