This place is simply a culinary and customer service abomination. Don’t get me wrong, I love diner food and go to diners regularly. But this place is simply disgusting. The breakfast we ordered was not even edible. Salty, overcooked, burned, oily… sickening. The«waitress» brought out my toast 15 minutes before my eggs. The glasses, plates and silverware were all dirty. The décor, carpeting, table, chairs, and walls of this place were filthy. This is not like«eating at grandmas house» as others have posted, unless grandma died 10 years earlier and has been decomposing on the living room floor. There were flies buzzing around, and no AC either. I couldn’t wait to get home and take a shower after leaving this place. For multiple violations, the FL Health Department temporarily closed this place a few days after I was there… enough said.

Huge rats were captured on video by someone walking by at night when it was closed. It was all over the news. A lot of violations.

You need to check their violations: «35A-03−1 Critical. Observed dead roaches on premises. 7 dead inside glass door cooler in prep area, 4 dead on floor in kitchen area, 4 dead by ice machine» … ah, no thanks! Ate here once and didn’t think much of it, now? definitely staying away!

This place is very quaint and you’d never know it from just walking by. The staff was really super sweet and even helped get us some numbers of places we could go to in the area. It’s very beautiful inside lots of thought and care put into the décor. I’m impressed with how neet everything is because theres so many things on the wall. Kudos to housekeeping. The portions are huge and I thank them. Whether you want to make it a long comfortable brunch or a quickie bite its perfect. Good quality food and lots of nice touches all around. Staff is very sweet.

The wife & I were just about the only ones up when we went in the morning AFTER St Patrick’s day. Brian was our server and was excellent! It is a simple menu but very tasty. The décor is funky but thankfully you don’t eat the walls. It was yummy breakfast !!!

I come here for breakfast whenever I can. It’s my favorite breakfast place on the Drive(and otherwise). Their menu is fairly basic American breakfast foods, but they are delicious, affordable and served with a smile. While the décor leaves a lot to be desired, I’ve found it adds to the kitsch of the place. Don’t be scared, just pretend you’re at grandma’s and gorge yourself on the tasty food. They also have great brunch drink specials, $ 3 mimosas anyone? Yep, this place is a keeper!

I loved everything about this place. The food was delicious, the service was great and the décor was tacky in the most awesome way possible. I ordered the veggie omelette and it was everything I wanted-tasty good. If I were in the area and wanted a great breakfast, I would come here again!

Yes, it’s basically a gay eatery. It is, after all, located in Wilton Manor, but that isn’t the point. It’s the décor, the food, and the overall dinning experience. I only mention the gay part, because a surprising number of my straight readers seek out gay restaurants, finding that the service, food and generally attention to detail exceed those of equally priced overwhelming straight restaurants. Indeed, in my experience, for whatever that is worth, I rarely run into the proverbial«greasy spoon» amongst restaurants that have a gay following or are owned and operated by gays. Previously they offered breakfast, lunch and dinner. They’ve now dropped dinner, but that may only be because when I was there yesterday, it was late May, and everything is now pretty much«off season.» Inside the restaurant is cute, loaded with lots of charm, sort of with a Victorian touch of décor. The service is excellent and it’s really a joy to be there. The food? Well better than average, but not all that much. They do a good job of dolling things up from average by adding some nice touches like raisins and walnuts to their chicken salad wraps and so forth. The portions are good size with no skimping on either the food or the use of those extra ingredients not normally found in the average restaurant. I went to Simply Deelish years ago when it first opened. It wasn’t very good, but now after several changes of ownership and nearly a decade later, it has improved immensely. So, yes, for the experience of it all and its location with free parking in Wilton Manor, I’m a fan. Hence four stars, but as far as the food, it’s just a slight bit better than run of the mill; so to speak.

After spending a night traipsing about Wilton Manors, all we wanted was a darling breakfast full of comfort foods with a dash of grease to help ease the hangovers. Simply Delish provided us with this and more. The service was outstanding and very friendly. The décor reminded me of my hip folky aunt’s cottage. The eggs, hash brows and veggie omelet were all great. The buttermilk pancake could’ve been a bit gooier and less well done. All in all, it was Delish!

Wonderful! A really quaint nice quiet place with good food and good prices to have a nice dinner. We found Simply Delish and Im so glad we came here. The staff is SO friendly. We got the Buffalo chicken dip was was excellent, we couldnt stop eating it. Then my date and I split the chicken sandwich. The portions are very big and plenty for 2 people to split. We had some demands(put this on the side, that on the side, extra this, extra that) and they were fast and nice about it. Refilled our drinks fast too. When they found out it was our first date they brought us a piece of red velvet cake for free! AND they made little whip cream hearts on the plate. It was so cute. They made us feel so welcome. I’ve eaten here a few times and the food is always good. They are the friendliest restaurant I can remember, I will always go back. I want to support great small businesses and these people are tops!

No problems at all with this place. Service was great and the food was delicious. I had coffee and their breakfast sandwich… simple good food. My girlfriend ordered the Eggs Benedict and requested that the runny egg yolks. The chef came out of the kitchen after the food was served to make sure that it was to her liking. The best was when someone on staff just started walking around handing everybody fresh fruit!

I probably should give this place 5 stars. My partner and I vacationed for a week in Ft. Lauderdale and were surprised and saddened to find the dining scene not much better than Jacksonville. And by that I mean a saturation of chain restaurants that I can only imagine happens for two reasons. 1. Alot of out of towners that want to see that familiar sign/blinking light/chicken dish they are comfortable with. 2. At least half the independant places are solid crap. And like Jacksonville, guests seem to be willing to forgive alot of food mistakes because they like the atmosphere and/or service. I tend to swing the other way. Ambiance and service are great bonuses if they are exceptional. I want good food! This place has exceptional food, friendly service and the most gawdawful gay décor I have ever seen. The ONLY reason I am not giving it 5 stars is for two nitpicky things. The bacon was not what I am used to and tasted like a lower quality diner bacon. And the poached eggs on my Benedict where a little underdone, but I realize that is a personal preference. They would have been fine for many other people. Food came out hot, quick and perfectly seasoned. Hollandaise was homemade and delicious. Previous review said it was packaged, so they have either changed to homemade since then or he was mistaken. This was homemade. I make hollandaise frequently and it’s not difficult. My partner had eggs over medium, the aforementioned bacon and banana pancakes. Breakfast is easy and it should not be hard to get it right. But you would think that about other things as well, right? Say… hmmm, mashed potatoes? My blind, senile grandmother makes better mashed potatoes than the watery, tasteless and what I still suspect may have been instant ones we had last night at the restaurant owned by a former top chef contestant. So, the fact that this place actually served a simple but almost perfect breakfast with spot-on flavors ranks pretty damn high with me.

This is your run of the mill diner. Nothing else. The food is typical diner fair and the price makes it more palatable. I wouldn’t go out of my way to bring my family or a group of friends here, but I would consider returning for the right items. Today, we had: Chicken Orzo Eggs Benedict Two blueberry pancakes, eggs bacon and toast The soup was a bit too citrusy for me, but it was obviously homemade with big chunks of chicken and little orzo noodles. Knowing what homemade hollandaise sauce tastes like, the package variety that is used here is really not something I want to experience again. If you have never been to Peach Valley Café(Stonewood off-shoot in Ormond Beach and Gainesville) you probably don’t know what you are missing unless you know someone that can make the difficult sauce from scratch. The eggs were cooked properly as was the toast. The pancakes had good flavor; my only contention being the poor syrup that they serve. All-in-all, it was an average meal at an OK restaurant. I won’t be beating down the doors to get back to Simply Deelish, but the friendly service means that I will eventually come back.

Quaint little restaurant open only for breakfast and lunch. The whole place makes you think«Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.» The place looks like your grandmothers Victorian dining room, circa San Francisco 1852. They have nicknacks, oil paintings, and patterned wallpaper galore. The couple who own the place are just as old but twice as nice. The food is good, but the menu is limited. I try not to come here too often otherwise I get bored with the selection. That said, this is a great place for locals to get away from the ordinary and all too mundane options available in Fort Lauderdale.
