The food wasn’t that great especially for the price. I got a steak burrito bowl and the steak was tough and the bowl mostly consisted of bland rice and beans. I won’t be going back.

This is my first time trying high tech burrito and I have to say it is also going to be my last. The service is ok here. The food is edible but extremely bland. I got a carnitas bowl which has cilantro lime rice the carnitas, guacamole, pinto beans and pico de gallo. my boyfriend got a shrimp burrito. The rice had no flavor at all(no hint of lime and not one piece of cilantro) and my boyfriend said the shrimp in his burrito had no flavor either also in the burrito there was supposed to be avocado verde salsa and there was none to be found. In the window theres a sign stating they’ve been voted best burrito for the last 10 years. I’d say thats false advertisement

The food here is just ok. The food seems expensive for what you actually get. For example, the fish taco is $ 4, and you get a small fish stick with a few tomatoes and sauce. There was nothing exciting about the burrito we ordered either. The lack of flavor was disappointing. Overall, next time I will seek out a more authentic Mexican restaurant because I would get better tasting food, for a better price.

I used to go to HTB in Alamo when I visited my sister and liked it. Recently moved near the one on Hembree and have gone here 4 or 5 times now. I never know what I’ll get. Seems like there’s always something that isn’t quite right. Tonight the rice in my burrito bowl was crunchy. Not sure if it was old or under cooked. I got it to-go so didn’t discover it until I got home. The guacamole was tasty but I’m really not liking their salsas. Disappointing since they are close. I’ll keep looking for a better place.

Very inconsistent… I keep going back hoping someone will hire the right cook. The burritos and bowls are always different sizes. The chicken is over cooked and the service is spotty. High Tech used to be one of my favorite placed to eat. Please… someone fix this location!

My first time eating High Tech Burrito. I’ve wanted to try them in the past but my wife always discourages me, stating how bad they are. Today a coworkers was picking up burritos for the staff. When they arrived with High Tech I was actually excited to try a new burrito(yes, I get excited over weird things). My excitement quickly disappeared after about 3 bites. The Avocado and sour cream were both missing, but I don’t think they would have saved the burrito. Somehow it walked the fine line of tasting bland, and disgusting at the same time. I even opened up the burrito to look for the missing avocado and try to find some meat to taste. Never found the avocoado, but did find a little meat; unfortunately it did not taste good enough to try to find a second piece. Couple of bites and the burrito hit the trash. Not sure what makes them«high tech» but I’ll continue with old school«low tech» burritos. There are too many real Mexican places around this area to settle for«High Tech.» Might even be better off risking the tained meat at Chipotle versus coming here. Skip it.

I was seriously disappointed with my burrito at this restaurant. I ordered the Godzilla and was severely disappointed with it. Not only was it higher priced than other burritos in the area it was extremely bland with almost no flavor. It was wayyy underseasoned which was not just my opinion but also the opinion of the three other people I was eating with also agreed. One of the worst offences is making a burrito with no flavor and high tech burrito, I’ve thrown the yellow flag

Food is good. My only critique is both times the same kid asked me if I’m a loyalty member. I said no. He didn’t offer to sign me up as one, and when I asked him how do I become one, he acted like he didn’t hear me. :(

Had the Cajun burrito today and it was disgusting. Way too much vinegar in the sauce and it was gross with the sour cream. Also came in a wheat tortilla instead of flour and it sucked as well.

There was no one in front of me. I ordered at 2:37 and was called to get my order at 2:47. 10 minutes later! I’m glad I got it to-go because after 10 minutes I was already exhausted of hearing their adolescent conversations in the kitchen. I’m going to Lupe’s next time.

The service here is just okay. And the food follows suit. The menu seems to almost nickel and dime you so to speak. Maybe I’ve been spoiled by the many taquerias in the area. But even chipotle delivers a better product than this place. One bright spot is this place is quick.

I ordered the Godzilla in a bowl to go. This is chicken and steak with guacamole, salsa, sour cream, onions, lettuce, tomato, Spanish rice, pinto beans. I had to order mine without a lot of that stuff… So I ordered without ONIONS and with AVOCADOSLICES instead of the guacamole. Gues what I got? A bowl piled with onions and no avocado of any kind in sight :( The guy who took my order had a white chef jacket on and he kept asking a guy in the back what he should do. I never like taking my food back to be redone. Not at a fast food restaurant… This was annoying. The food was just okay. Will I return? We’ll see…

The last few meals from here were not very good. The cashier picked some chicken with her fingers from a container that was next to the grill. Then ignored us while we stood in front of the register. The next visit she never made eye contact. This time, she wasn’t there. But while I waited for my meal, two separate customers came in, returning their to go meals because they were completely wrong. Another customer had items missing from her order. I finally get my meal to find 6 pieces of burnt chicken on top of 5 lbs of rice and beans. Couldn’t eat the chicken. Didn’t eat the side of guac bc it didn’t have any flavor. These used to be on the spot good. But epic fail for the past year or so.

This place was a joke i order the Godzilla burrito and it tasted horrible and the meat was hard and had to chew it 30 times before I could swallow it. Your better off going to a taco truck.

I know fast food Mexican isn’t real Mexican food, but I think High Tech is just plain bad. I tried it once and the burrito was so dry and flavorless that I didn’t bother to try it again. Weird location in the Walmart shopping center too. No reason to head over there.
