I’m leaving 1 star simply because I don’t have the option for 0. While I could overlook the slow service in bringing us our drinks(water and hot tea) and even slower time taking our order… watching patron after patron receive their meals ahead of us, rather than be upfront and tell us they lost our order, they send someone new out to take our order again. This was after sitting there for nearly 40 minutes. We had an appointment and had to leave. We threw cash on the table for our drinks and rushed out the door, still starving. Getting in the car I realized we forgot our daughters sippy cup at the table so I ran back in. I was met by a man speaking in a very rude and sarcastic tone asking if I planned to even pay for my drinks. I responded that he needed to look at the table before accusing me and pointed to the cash. Perhaps he realized that the $ 5 was more than adequate for ice water and two half filled hot teas. And no, you will not get a tip from me. Never again will I go to this establishment.

Come very hungry! Service was slow at the beginning during our breakfast visit. The portions are enormous and delicious. Even the kids dishes are huge. We ordered the country fried steak biscuit, 2−2−2 and 2 kids meals. All food seemed fresh and homemade.

Can’t believe I hadn’t given this place it’s due on Unilocal!I’ve posted on FB more times than I can count. Best French Toast anywhere! Massive omelettes, great food, family atmosphere…

Best breakfast in the area!!! Reasonably priced as well. Wife and I ate for about $ 20 which caught me off guard. Drinks are big as well so the waitress doesn’t have to refill every 10 minutes.

I had the biscuits and gray, pancakes, and corned beef hash. The Pancakes were ok, and the texture of the corned beef hash was good although the flavors were a little sideways for my taste. It wasn’t necessarily bad, just didn’t resonate with my personal taste. I could see others loving it though. The biscuits and gravy were good! The half order seems like it should be for two people though so beware the portions. The service was good although the welcoming situation could be better. I walked in and there was just a pile of junk on the ground in the center where the welcome desk usually would be and nobody greeted me for a couple minutes so you just kind of have to stand there awkwardly until someone addresses you. But once I got a waitress it was fine from there. Prices were very fair.

Service was so they don’t care. I came in and had a seat. One waitress ignored me I know because it was not her table. I watched the other waitress thumb through the paper and talk to a male customer at the counter for nearly five minute. When she came to my table I commented that I thought I was going to have to go to the counter to get waited on. She replied«oh ya like you have been waiting so long». They are so out of touch with the customer and so internally focused. This is typical of this waitress. This is such a shame because the food usually is good. 12/24/20152 ½ hours after opening they were already out of chorizo. Poor management!

This place is so great! The biscuits I spied from another table looked fluffy and awesome, and the cinnamon roll I ordered was smothered in icing. This is a hometown, American foodery that gets the job done with a cheeky flair. Certainly not a destination for the health conscience. The building is somewhat nondescript and I’m happy I found it!

A friend recommended this place, and oh boy am o glad I came here! Really good food. I love the omelettes especially Clara’s favorite! The biscuits and gravy is huge! The home fries are endless and very tasty! You just can’t go wrong coming here! Way better than the«chain» restaurants near by.

We drove around Yuba City for a while looking for a good Sunday breakfast place. Settled on 2 Bits as the first non-chain normal looking café that had a good crowd. Not fancy, but Damn good food with great service. Biggest darn biscuit we ever saw. Joes special had a nice dust cayenne pepper and steak(from steak and eggs) was a nice lean piece of meat cooked to perfection. We were so pleasantly surprised, we gave it the acid test… Sausage gravy! We are almost always disappointed but 2 Bits was pretty good, nice medium spicy sausage without too much flour taste.

Been here about 5 times since moving to Yuba about 2 months ago and every time has been great! Their omelets are huge and the ingredients are super fresh. Love their potatoes with bell peppers and onions and their coffee is just good strong coffee. I love love love that they use the randomest cups makes me feel at home. Will continue coming here. Service is great too!

Probably our favorite breakfast spot in YC! Food is always spot on, service is always great too. Their big breakfast burrito is my favorite and they have a great kids menu. Prices are cheap and they even have a AAA discount, just bring in your card! Check out the daily special they have listed on the grease board when you walk in, it’s usually something not on the regular menu and often worth a try. Very down home place, give it a go!

I loved 2 bits for a long time but the last three times I’ve been in I’ve had the same server(the old fake red headed one) and the service has been absolutely terrible, today I came in and sat down for about 5 minutes she came up and said«it’s gonna be a while before I come back I have a couple tables inside» no big deal right? Wrong! She didn’t offer to get us a beverage or have another server take care of us. She’s just not a good sever and I never had an issue with the place until she started waiting on me. I will not be back until she is gone! She is rude, rolls her eyes when she’s walking away from the table thinking we can’t see her and has a generally poor attitude… and probably wonders why she doesn’t get a tip. It’s not hard to fake a smile and at least try and accommodate your customers. Hopefully she won’t be there long and I can start going back.

This place is delicious and our waitress, Rhonda, was nice and checked on us often. We split an order of French Toast and Clara’s omelette which came with potatoes and toast. Clara’s omelette has bacon, mushrooms, cheddar cheese and is topped with avocado. We went on a Friday morning at 8:00am and the place was just about full. After eating our food, I see why this place is always busy. We will be back for sure. It was worth the drive from Plumas Lake.

2 Bits Café is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. Don’t count on it being quick because there is almost always a wait. It is such a busy little place. As for the food my favorite is the fried egg sandwich with bacon on sour dough. First time I tried it I was hooked!!! OMG… if your really hungry make the mistake of ordering a full stack of pancakes. I did and they were so huge I ate about a third of them. Next time I tried half stack, nope still to much! Cooks are good, wait staff although very busy are great. So give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised.

My all time favorite breakfast joint in the area! I will never go to IHOP or Denny’s again. The service reminds me of that good olé southern hospitality I used to receive back home in Texas. The portions are HUGE! The only problem is that this place needs to be bigger. Due to its popularity it’s always full. If I could eat here everyday for breakfast I would! Please don’t forget to leave a big tip

Went in the other day, to what seemed like the most busy morning at 2 Bits I’ve seen. We sat a a table that was quickly cleaned off and received a friendly acknowledgement from the waitress. Service with s smile on a hectic mornings. I ordered the chicken fried steak omelette with hash browns. My food was the bomb. Better bring your appetite, this was huge. I tried to go in for the kill, but lost that battle quickly. Thank you for the great meal.

Great food & great service! Our server was Rhonda. She was terrific. Got our drinks lighting fast and took our order shortly there after. Food came out just as ordered, it tasted wonderful and there was plenty of it. My only suggestion would be to update the décor. It feels like you’re eating in an office. Other than that, one happy customer. :-)

So you’re in Yuba City, starved, maybe a little hungover, and you want some good breakfast. To your left, dirty old Jack In the Box. To your right a dubious establishment titled The Lumberjack or something. What to do? Turn around, go down Rocca Way, and check out 2 Bits Café. This is a good little«diner-esque» type breakfast place. Nothing super fancy, but good food and friendly service. I walked in to get a feel for the place, noted it was very busy, and decided to try out the outdoor seating. As such I can’t speak much to the interior. The«patio,» if you want to call it that, is a few deck tables and chairs and not much else. It has the advantage of being quiet and mostly deserted. It took a bit for the server to notice I was there, probably due to how busy it was and the fact that I was outside, but once she did service was quick and polite. I decided to go with J’s Special French Toast or something like that. 2 slices of french toast, 2 eggs, and a slice of ham. What I didn’t know is that the«slice of ham» is basically a cross section of a pig. It literally takes up almost the entire place. This should give you an idea of the portions here which, from what I’ve seen, are pretty ridiculous. Not complaining, but there was no way I could finish it. The french toast was the obvious star. Made from fresh slices of french bread cut long ways, it was crispy on the outside, slightly sweet, and really didn’t even need much on top. It comes with a blessedly moderate amount of sugar on top(some places really overdo it) and was really very good. The eggs were good, cooked correctly. Not sure what else you can really say about fried eggs. As far as the ham it was tasty and provided a nice bit of savory to balance the sweet of the toast. All in all, delicious. I spent some time just chilling and drawing after and the server was nice enough to refill my coffee a few times, not rushing me out. In summary, I’d recommend this place if you are just looking for a relaxed, tasty, and generous breakfast. It’s not some upscale brunch type place, but the fact that it always seems to be busy should tip you off that the food is good.

It’s been many years since I’ve been to this restaurant, and boy have I been missing out on great food. The staff are friendly, courteous and quick to serve. They serve large portions, so you get your money’s worth. You get more value if you use the ClipperCash Savings Certificate(see my tip). I had the Popeye for breakfast. I could not believe that I devoured the entire meal in one sitting because it would satisfy two people. The home fries were crispy and topped with spinach and mushroom scramble. I’ve been back a few times to order take out for my family’s breakfast and, while I waited for the orders, I’ve had the Poached and Toast and Veggie Omelet dishes on separate occasions. Love it here!
