I was recommended by the tour guide to check this place out. Since we were American he advised us to use our card too since the dollar to pesos conversion may not be to our advantage. There were a lot of foreigners(US and other countries) eating here. Tried the Yucatan cochinita pork and ordered their ceviche. The chips were baked and yummy. Their salsa looks super watery but OMG it was spicy and good. I love spicy food so I loved it. The pork came out first on top of the banana leaf. The meat was so tasty and tender. It was delicious. It comes with corn tortillas(flour is Tex Mex). I waited a few minutes and the ceviche was still not out yet. I was on a time crunch so I asked for the check and put the ceviche in a to go box. Be careful if you are in a hurry. Seems to take awhile to get the food. The ceviche was ok. I’ve had better in Texas :)

We came to this restaurant with Auto Progreso Tour out off the Cruise ship terminal after we finished our Mayan ruins tour. Our tour guide Ivan recommended the restaurant and said they accept credit card and was more convenient. First they bring out chips, guacamole and pico de gallo which was spicy but very good. We ordered Shrimp Ceviche and Cochinita Pibil pork which was a highly recommended dish and it did not disappoint us. The meat was on a banana leaf and came with refried beans and corn tortillas. Shrimp ceviche was ok nothing grand to talk about. It was just too sour. On a side note, we did see some foreigners who came on a tour eat Pizza there. Now who orders a pizza in Mexico? Whatever happened to «When in Rome, do as the Romans do» Lol.

After a 4 hour bus ride from Cancun we were pretty hungry for some lunch. Some random guy on the street recommended this place so we thought that a local would know best so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it wasn’t so good. We had to send back the margaritas — way too sweet, I ordered a pork dish but instead got chicken, the waiter offered to take it back but I was so hungry I didn’t care — although the chicken was pretty good. My wife’s chicken salad was just so so. Prices are expensive — we paid about 500 pesos for 2 margaritas and two entrees I don’t think I’ll be coming back here

The food and drink is not bad, and the music and atmosphere is perfect for a vacation seeker in town.
