GREAT sandwich, best one I’ve had in Barcelona. Get the fried potatoes or whatever they’re called — SOGOOD. Definitely worth the wait!

This place has epic sandwiches. Barcelona sandwiches usually only consist of tomato bread with some chorizo so I was extremely excited to find a sandwich place with substance. The sauces are amazing and I recommend the chicken sandwich with everything on it. They give you lettuce, olives, onions, green peppers, cucumber, lentils, feta cheese and add 4 sauces! I also recommend the hot sauce if you don’t mind spicy food, it’s the same hot sauce used on patatas bravas so it’s not too spicy. Only € 3,80 for a huge sandwich. If you’re with a group of 2 – 3 people share the patatas bravas because you will be full off the sandwiches. Tip: be prepared to wait. The line is huge and it’s not he fastest moving restaurant. If you go right at 12pm though you can be one of the first people in line.

Delicious, cheap, filling sandwiches! I had the chicken sandwich with cheese, all of the sauces, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, olives, and corn. So fresh and so delicious. Highly recommend. Very cheap as well. Great for a quick yummy bite after/before the walking tours of the neighborhood.

There are exactly two sandwiches that have changed my life. One was from Bay Cities in Santa Monica, CA, and the other was from Bo de B. My friends and I went here on a recommendation and were staring by the time we were seated(bocadillos can be ordered from the window but my friend wanted a salad plate which are only served inside), but luckily we got a sumptuous portion of meat and veggies in the most amazing crusty bread. I love that they marinate the meat and cook it fresh for you, with tons of options for fresh veggies(including unusual choices like lentils) plus awesome sauces — I had the spicy one. Every bite was delectable and it was the kind of sandwich that satisfies your hunger after half, but you just can’t stop there(we all devoured them). It’s a refreshing change from most bocadillos that offer little more than meat or tortilla with a bit of tomato, and if you’re ever in Barcelona, you absolutely have to try this little piece of heaven.

Must eat in Barcelona. Whatever you get make sure you put all 3 sauces on it. Amazing, I ordered the chicken salad and it was humongous. Worth it to wait for a table and usually moves quick if not in that much peak hours. Great for to-go.

Loved everything about this place! Quick service, delicious food, and a great atmosphere for travelers. Very American-friendly. Order the steak tzitiki and it was great! Sort of like a burrito-sandwich type of thing. I could feel the Barcelona vibe emanating from here and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite!

Stopped to grab a sandwich here due to the long line and cheap prices. Unfortunately, it’s definitely not a fast-moving line! Even when I got to the front, it took quite a while to be acknowledged because they were still working on all the other orders. They do stuff quite a bit into the sandwiches, making them quite atypical with options like corn, lentils, olives, etc and it’s all quite fresh. A tasty sandwich but not an amazing one and not necessarily worth a really long wait if you’ve got other things to do. A girl in line told me that it was mentioned in her guidebook so seems like backpackers like it.

A friend recommended this place to me for being a notorious student spot with the best sandwiches in Barcelona! The line was long, a clear indicator that it was something worth waiting for! Upon entering the little shop, it was clear why. Meats, sauces, and veggies were lined up waiting to be chosen for large loaves of breads as according to the customers tastes. I ordered a chicken sandwich with ALL the sauces, and almost all the veggies(not big on cabbage!). Everything was incredibly fresh and the chicken was very flavorful. The sauces were spicy and strong, in a way that perfectly complemented the sandwich. All that for 5 euros! Will definitely recommend to any Barcelona foodies!

Let me just start off by saying that Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in Europe. I didn’t expect it to be, and it caught me by surprise! Bo de B is not a typical Spanish restaurant as it doesn’t serve tapas. I didn’t even know they ate sandwiches in Spain! Anyway, this place was amazing! We had the chicken sandwich — with a variety of toppings. Since it’s been awhile, I only remember the corn and the cucumber as awesome toppings to the sandwich. The chicken is grilled after you order it and comes in super juicy chunks! The sandwich is topped off with a variety of sauces — my favorite being the spicy sauce. I really wished I had another meal there and I would have gotten the plate! We took the sandwich to go and ate it on the beach. PERFECTION! Best thing is — very affordable! The sandwich can easily be split between two people. I also tried to patatas bravas there. Contrary to what a lot of the other Unilocalers said, I didn’t think the patatas bravas were that good. They were more like potato wedges, and some of them were uncooked. The sauce was also kind of weird. I would recommend skipping it!

My first visit to this little«soup nazi» spot was a turn off — in that don’t try to get a table(and then place an order) out of the strict flow managed by the owner, which meant that our table was given to some jerk Americans ahead of us in line who changed their mind about taking their food to go. But on later visits I warmed up more to the quirky air and found the staff nice people. The sandwiches really are yummy –what sandwich shop usually includes capers?– and a splendid value. Excellent«Bo de B» potatoes too.(Bravas style potatoes but with three sauces.) I wish the raw-meat-always-being-grilled-fresh would fly in a restaurant in my home town. It so much more juicy(in the right kind of juicy meat way) than Chipotle holding grilled chicken in liquid in a warming tray. And if you’re vegetarian who eats eggs, they have omelets as an option for your sandwich, too.

We Visited this place twice in our short two day visit to Barcelona. It’s a small shop located very close to the gothic district and the harbor. The line is usually out the door(it’s a small restaurant), but it’s absolutely worth it! On my first visit, I had the chicken bocadillo and steak on the second visit. The chicken was immensely more flavorful than the steak(which was still very good)! All of the veggies make the sandwich extremely light and delicious. Highly recommend coming here and getting a bocadillo with everything on it!

Beware! Stay away! I don’t get what all the hype is about. This is a place that appeals to a bunch of study-abroad students who think this is «OMG» «literally» the best meal ever(hearing this, while standing in line, should have been our clue)!! First and foremost, this place is in violation of every single health code imaginable. Raw meat(chicken, steak, and ground beef) sits right next to the rice therefore, the juice of all this raw meat travels to the cooked rice and all over the counter. The personnel pick up the raw meat with their hands, not wearing gloves of course, and then go about making your sandwich or peel potatoes. Do they not know what sorts of bacteria exist in raw meat? Either No they don’t, or they don’t care. The sandwich bread sits on the counter! Yes on the same counter where 2 inches away are the plastic bottles of sauce and 10 inches away sits the pile of raw meat. If you think I am painting too gross of a picture, well, you should have been there. The girl working there touches her hair, rubs sweat off her neck while holding my sandwich in her other hand. Then they put rice and lentils and cabbage and all sorts of things in a baguette sandwich that just does not make sense. What happened to the good old prosciutto and butter or cheese, with some lettuce and tomatoes in a sandwich? For the quality of the food(which is non-existent) and the filth that craws all over this place, event the 3.50 euros is a total rip off. Save yourself time and money, go to the bouqeria off of La Rambla or anywhere else in the Barri Gotic, get a nice, decent sandwich, premium quality ham or salami, for 3 euros and call it a day. I have to admit that I feel so stupid for taking a bite out of that sandwich before throwing it out. The bland taste was all the more reason to hate myself for putting me through such a horrid experience. In a city that is stacked with hidden culinary gems, what a waste of meal was this. Unilocal and TripAdvisor failed us this time… By the way, if you don’t believe me on the raw meat next to the rice thing, just flip through the pictures that people have posted. Ick!

Good sandwich but slightly over hyped. I tried the chicken sandwich, and asked them to put whatever on it that they thought would be good. It had avocado, beans, cabbage, tomato, cilantro, and some other things. Tasty, and affordable. The service was quick and friendly. I would recommend getting your sandwich as take out, because there was a line every time we walked by(no matter what time of day). It was absolutely a good sandwich, and easily transported to the local beach. I do think that I referred the shawarma wrap that I got a couple of doors down, and there was no line.

This place may as well have a giant magnet outside for all the backpackers and budget travelers it attracts. The tldr; is this is where you go for CHEAP sandwiches. 3 – 4 euros for a sandwich the size of most people’s forearms. They don’t skimp on meat or veggies, and I found the chicken sandwich to have a good balance of meat, veggies and sauces.(yes, *sauces*) The sandwiches are good, but I’d hesitate to call them great. They’re certainly one of the best values in the city, and if you’re on a tight budget you can’t go wrong.

Unilocal steered us wrong on this one. I am not sure why all the glowing reviews. Cheap bocadillos, yes. But the meat were bland, and the bread was hard. Flies buzzin’ about. Rude staff. Ridiculously long, slow moving queue. Worst food experience in Barcelona.
