Celler Ceres

Hace tiempo quería ir al Celler Ceres hasta que finalmente lo logré… y además acompañado por otros Unilocalers! 12 tiradores de cerveza artesana con la respectiva pizarra arriba explicando el nombre, tipo, grados alcohólicos y procedencia. Además hay una buena selección de cervezas de botella que por cierto, un puntazo que sean muestras con el precio y no una nevera, ya que en otros lugares tienes que ir preguntando cuánto valen y es un poco pesado.
Otro punto, esta vez no sé si bueno o malo, es que tienen teles donde pasan el fútbol, cosa que no recuerdo haber visto en otras cervecerías de este estilo. El chico de la barra es muy buen rollo y explica con gusto. Una buena opción en una calle no muy concurrida del centro de Barcelona… volveré!

Barcelona does not have a strong beer culture, although it has certainly improved lately. Cellar Ceres is, by far, the best beer bar in Barcelona. They have 12 craft beers on tap and the menu changes almost daily so that you can be sure the beer is very fresh. Frankie, the bartender, is very knowledgeable about the many beers. He speaks English quite well and was also kind enough to help me with my very bad Spanish. I have visited Cellar Ceres 6 – 7 times and tried a new beer each time. I sampled beers from Barcelona, Basque Country, England, Germany and Denmark and all were great. You can also buy a 5 L «growler» to go. Because it has only been open since April, it is not overrun with tourists. It can be a little difficult to find the first time but you only have to go to the quiet (left) side of Santa Maria del Mar, then follow Carrer de Mirallers until you walk right into the front door.
