Georgia O’Keeffe chose to move to New Mexico for the colors. And no wonder, New Mexico proudly displays it’s enchanting array of colors everywhere you go. From White Sands to Hiesenberg’s Blue Meth to the ubiquitous Green Chile, it’s like an explosion of crayons out there. Green chile is everywhere but surprisingly absent from most Bloody Marys we encountered. Then we found this awesome concoction hiding out at a pizza parlor just outside of UNM campus. Its called the green chile bacon Bloody Mary, and everything about that had our taste buds sweating with anticipation. Vodka, with their house Bloody Mary Mix, a whole bunch of green chili, and freshly cooked bacon equals a crazy delicious and drink suitable for painting.

The pizza was okay the price was a little more than I expected. The service was not too bad.

Easily the best pizza I’ve had in my entire life. I can’t say much more because I’m technically off the grid and on the run, but goddamn do they have good pizza.

I love brickyard. I come here maybe a little too much but you can never go wrong with beer and pizza. I usually just get a slice of pepperoni deep dish but sometimes I will get breadsticks which are also delicious. The service is decent not bad but not amazing. You would think this would be more of a college bar because it’s across from UNM but there is a mix of people that come here. However, if you are coming at night you should be careful. There are some people that stand outside by the bus stop that beg for money or are not necessarily doing what is considered normal. You will have to park behind brickyard so you will cross paths with some characters so just beware of your surroundings.

I’m furious at this pizza place right now. We ordered two pizzas from them — I called them, they took our information, and you better believe they took our credit card information without a problem. They say it should deliver from 45 minutes to an hour. Over an hour passes — we never get the food. I call back, and they said they tried to deliver it a half an hour ago — they wrote down the wrong number AND the wrong apartment number. They said they«could redeliver the pizza if we’d like.» We waited another twenty minutes, then decided it wasn’t worth it and I canceled. I don’t recommend ordering from a place as unprofessional as this.

It’s one of the best bars around the area. Fun and relaxing, plus it’s easy enough to walk up to.

The good: Their prices– $ 4.25 for a slice and a PBR, can’t beat that Their food– great wings, great pizza, good beer selection Their tv– they have all the fancy sports channels and a bunch of tvs! The bad: Their service– sit at the bar and you’re okay, but they don’t have enough servers for the restaurant portion. If you can be a little bit aggressive as a customer, the service isn’t half bad! Considering you can get a slice for just $ 2.99, this place is a steal!

Well this SUCKED drove in from OKC tonight got into my hotel at 10 and found this pizza place still delivering to my airport hotel. Called and ordered at 10:30PM the guy told me 45 mins. At the 55 min mark I call he says o the guy just left. At the hour 20 mark I call to cancel and the Jerk tells me «o well I told you 90 – 120 minutes for delivery I just got a big order» and the worst part he was totally nasty about it. If he would of been nice I would of waited, but instead I went to bed hungry. So more customer service related review being I never got to try the Pizza.

This place makes me reminiscent of college. That’s a good thing by the way. Great selection of beer(They had my favorite, La Cumbre Elevated) and their pizza was so good. The crust was perfect, and the toppings were fresh. The atmosphere was fun, and the service was on point. The floor could’ve been kept a little cleaner, my feet stuck to the floor. But it’s all good… the food was delish ;)

Great tasting food with pretty good size portions. The toppings are a bit expensive if you are building your own pie, but all in all this is a pretty good bet for pizza or a calzone. The inside is usually pretty crowded /noisy and the service wasn’t particularly fast so order ahead of time and get it to go.

I gotta say I really like this place… Actually I have never eaten in the joint so this is not about the place at all… More about the food! I Always order online which amazing, stupid, simple, and you get email notification with good fast delivery unless you want to choose another time for it. The salads are my favorite but the Lobos Zoni’s are a great compliment to a small salad(The large is meal in itself). The lobos breadsticks are like an open face Zoni… Very good as well. I recommend almost everything, yes, ALMOSTEVERYTHING, as I have had almost everything on the menu… I can’t recommend the chicken wings though, there are way too many places that do them better. When I am In ABQ I will be ordering something from here… On line delivery of course!

Didn’t have any drinks, maybe that would have helped. The pizza wasn’t great but it wasn’t too expensive and the atmosphere was chill.

Okay food for 1:30 am. The bill was only 33 $ for 2 pints of beer an appetizer and two zonis. Not a bad deal at all. To me the food was lacking taste but hey it’s 1:30 in the morning. Probably will come back. Service was great!

Away from the dive bar down the street and into a place that has some of the best pizza I’ve had here in ABQ. I hate that I waited so long to try and find Brickyard, but a shout out to Kevin S. who planted the seed. We sat at the bar and were greeted by our bartender the one and only Sean. He labored over our drinks while we perused the menu and made our decisions. We decided on passing up the«PBR Special» this time around. Brothas were starving. We placed our order for some Lobo Bread Sticks, and a personal Supreme, and boy was it good. The beard sticks alone were a meal in themselves, and some of the best I’ve had in a long while. Crisp, soft, gooey mozzarella, and green chiles… perfect. So was the ranch that came with it all. Every flavor was good, but coupled together just great. The pizza was just as fantastic, and I will be back for a few more rounds at this place before I vacate this enchanting land. All and all, I’m a fan. The food was good, and the service was great as well. We talked about 80’s movies with Sean our bartender and how some just don’t stand the test of time. Nice bar conversation I tell ya. If you’re on the hunt for a good pie in Albuquerque then look no further, because I think you’ll be pleasantly satisfied.

Great selection of beers on tap. It was another one of those places where you have no idea which one to pick because there are just too many. The pizza smelled delicious. Unfortunately, we arrived after we’d already eaten but the pizza smelled so good that I was considering just getting a piece to alleviate the torture that the scents were bringing me! TIP: The only downside at this place was that it was super super loud. Not because of the crowd but because of an open-mic night. Not the best place if you’re trying to catch up with friends.

Bar next campus. Appears in Anaya novels under a psuedonym. Hand-tossed green chile slices best. Service hit or miss. An institution.

Brick light is good for cheap pizza and beer! Service is not great usually and you might have to remind the server to get your drink. Over all it’s a good dive bar.

Good pizza and sandwiches. Okay, not the best pizza in town, but really quite good. And the slices are huge and inexpensive, perfect for a college hang out. Everything I have had here is quite tasty. Their beer selection is good, with lots of local beers. But the beers are more expensive than many other places. Buyer beware. Staff is nice, but a little inattentive.

Today the service was excellent. I didn’t wait at all for the server to take my order, and she was on top of asking me and my friend if we needed refills on our beer. She seemed genuinely friendly and happy to be there, which was quite refreshing! I have been rather critical of Brickyard in the past due to several instances of poor service and undercooked pizza. Nonetheless, I never gave up hope that they could improve. I’m so happy to see that the manager seems to have turned things around for the better. The past several times I have been to Brickyard, the servers have been much more attentive and the pizza has been tasting delicious(can’t remember the last time I had a less than satisfactory slice). I reeeeally hope this positive trend continues because I love the close proximity of Brickyard to UNM(and their PBR special and other assorted beers, of course!).
