Jerry’s used to be my one stop shopping for when I wanted diarrhea — Which was never. So naturally I hadn’t been to a Jerry’s in a long time. Last night was probably my first in about ten+ years — If not longer. I was craving a meatball sub so badly that while at Harris Teeter across the way I decided that I had no other choice but to stop in and get dinner. While there was thankfully no diarrhea involved in the meal, the sub was disappointing at best. I don’t know why I expected to get a quality sub from a fast food chain, so perhaps that’s on me. My mouth wanted flavorful and fresh meatballs smothered in marinara on soft bread. What I got was flash frozen, basic run of the mill meatballs — Such as I could have picked up in the frozen section of the grocery store I had just left. Not only that, but the bread was cut too deep, so everything was falling out the bottom side which was sliced open. This was made worse because the rest of the bread was literally crumbling apart in my hands — Possibly a result of being too old and dried out(at least that’s typically the reason why bread would do this). Like I said, perhaps it’s on me for expecting something better at a fast food chain. Regardless, I won’t be back — Lesson learned.

I have lived in Northern Va since 1968 and always enjoyed Jerry’s. I recently had a craving for a good cheese steak. After trying some from both local and national companies I was about to give up. Then I saw a small flyer for Jerry’s. It was fantastic, I’m not certain how I forgot about them. I have been back 4 times after I found the one in Ashburn. It was and still is the best cheese steak on the planet(sorry philly, I have been there and tried all the famous ones) Jerry’s is a great value as well. If you grew up around the beltway you owe it to you and yours to revisit this local chain.

I wouldn’t order food from them for delivery. They don’t meet their estimated time until delivery(average 45 mins) and sometimes it takes over an hour. Just not worth it for a sub sandwich.

We moved away years ago, and just came back. I had fond memories of Jerry’s, and so we tried this one out. It was dirty(mmm, sticky floor) and dark. They were out of the item my wife tried to order. They have the concreted into the ground tables you can’t move. And the cheesesteak, lackluster at best. I don’t know if it is just this location or all Jerry’s have gone down hill since we left, but it was a huge, huge let down.

This place consistently fails in all aspects of what a Jerry’s restaurant should be. –Terrible delivery times. –Orders are incorrect –Do not receive items that are paid for and when called do not answer –Hang up on you when you call to check on order. –Do not understand english –Extremely high prices for the quality and service you get

I have not tried the food yet because it’s been over 20 minutes and I’m still waiting. The service is really slow. The couple in front of me was trying to figure out what they want to order and rather than telling them to let the customers behind you go while you figure it out. the cashier just waits.

Maybe it’s because I grew up on it, having a Jerry’s by my house as a kid… but you can’t beat the Monday night pizza deal and their Cheesesteaks are really freakin good in my opinion. Probably going to catch some flak for saying it… but I like Jerry’s cheesesteaks better than the ones I had in Philly when I went a few years ago. Also, I’m not sure if it’s widely known or not, but with the Monday night pizza deal, they will let you add toppings(for an additional fee.) I usually add sausage. I was very happy with my recent experience at this particular location. It was my first time at this location. The gentleman working the register last Friday night was very friendly and accommodating to my special requests and generally very pleasant with all the guests I saw coming through. As usual, my cheesesteak with provolone cheese and fried jalapenos was so good it had me looking forward to another visit… which will most likely be tonight, as a matter of fact. I just wish there were more Jerry’s locations… there used to be one by my work in Herndon. .but I guess I didn’t go enough to have ‘em keep the lights on. A very sad and unfortunate day in food history. Support your local Jerry’s! I don’t want to have to drive even further to get my fix should another location decide to close it’s doors!

I am a Jerry’s fan for life: P. They are a franchise and I am happy to have one near-ish to where I live now. This particular location is a little bit awkward and I’ve never seen anyone else in there when I come to pick up. But the food is great! I love their cheesesteaks and white pizza.

Love it here! The place is super clean and the service is outstanding. Every time we come we try something new and they never disappoint. Large pizza is $ 5.99 on Monday night, you can’t beat that! The wheat rolls are outstanding & if you haven’t tried the fried jalapeños, you must! The manager cares about the customers and their dining experience. First class guy all the way. Can’t make it out? They deliver! Awesome.

We’ve ordered from them 5+ times in the last year. Their food is ok but after yet another problem, we won’t be ordering from them again. A few months ago we ordered from them online, got the email confirmation, and waited about an hour and a half for our food to show up. Finally we called to find that they«didn’t get the order». They wouldn’t even try to make sure we got a refund or anything. We never did get a refund even though the money left our account. The thing that was the most bothersome was that they did. not. care. that we ordered from them, were understanding of the snafu, out $ 40 and hungry. Seriously, not an «I’m sorry» or even a coupon. We really wanted subs tonight and figured we’d give them another try, placing an advance order for this evening so we’d have time to get something else before we were starving if it didn’t show up! I ordered at 4pm for delivery at 5:30pm. It says at the top of the order, surrounded by asterisks, ****ADVANCEORDER****. Yet, at 4:35pm our doorbell rang and our subs & pizza are here… to get cold before everyone is here for dinner. We told the delivery guy that we weren’t expecting the delivery yet but he didn’t seem to care. It even says clearly on the receipt that it was for a 5:30 delivery. Also, we tipped 20% every time, including the time that we received nothing. So apparently giving a decent tip isn’t the least bit inspirational. I was going to call them but my husband reminded me of the last order that was messed up and how they didn’t care so I figured there wasn’t much point in bothering. Instead, I’ll warn others to take your money elsewhere.

Ever go to a place, eat, then regret having done so? This is one of those places for me. I’ve tried both the pizza and the steak and cheese subs. Both of them are very greasy and while they taste okay going down, my stomach is almost immediately unhappy with my decision. Very heavy. But if you want to lube up your intestines, this is the place to go.

Went in on a Weds evening. Got a ultimate cheesesteak 12in large. Like a dollar per inch. The sub was great and filling but after awhile it was tedious and didnt enjoy it that muvh. If id go again id rather get a basic cheesesteak and probably a small to a regular size. The ultimate didnt seem worth the extra bucks. Servuce was good nice and quick. Just an ordinary sub experience.

Where do I begin!?? Ordered subs from this location. Started off with the worst phone ordering experience ever because I could barely understand the lady on the other end and she kept getting what I said wrong. She tells me my order will arrive in 45 minutes. 53 minutes later, I call to see what’s going on and the lady tells me there is no delivery driver, she doesn’t know where he is and it would probably be at least 30 more minutes. I asked why she would take an order for DELIVERY without a delivery driver? So I asked to speak to the manager and the manager is not there. I was told the manager would be there in 10 – 20 minutes. Then her phone rings and she hangs up on me. I get a call from the manager who says she has my food and will be delivering my food in about 10 minutes, only to have to give her the address all over again. I also had to debate some sort of discount from her. The 10 minutes she said it would take for her to get my food to me, turned into 30 more minutes. 1 hour and 32 minutes later, my food arrives, only to have my order wrong and food missing and no explanation. On top of that, it was the worst food I’ve ever had. Dry, stale bread with wilted tasting lettuce, barely any sauce, barely any cheese and the dryest chicken ever. They won’t ever have to worry about hearing from me again… period.

Oh where to start. This is the third time we have tried to order delivery and the person on the phone didn’t speak English. When giving our address, my husband spelled it over and over, but they still couldn’t figure it out. They didn’t even know the letters of the alphabet. He ended up having to go pick it up because after several times saying«C» as in Cat, they just couldn’t get it. Our street name isn’t uncommon or anything. Frustrating every time, and a shame because we love their subs. 30 minutes on the phone to order 2 subs, my husband finally gave up and said he would go to the store because they hadn’t even taken his ccard number yet, and that was sure to be a disaster.

Pros: Still thinking. Comparative price?! Better off saving your money. Pizza use to be decent for the price. Cons: Subs are really bad. Just go next door to Jersey Mike’s. If that’s too pricey, buying a pre-made sandwich or sub from Harris Teeter will beat out Jerry’s. I had a meatball sub from Jerry’s and it was the worst sub I have ever had. Bottomline: I use to be a fan of Jerry’s Pizza, but the chain has really gone downhill. The ingredients were never top of the line, but now service and ingredients are really bad.

If you’ve been to a Jerry’s before, then you basically know what you’re getting here. If not, expect hideous décor and a rather dark lighting scheme to go with deliciously unhealthy food. It’s not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination, but if you’re craving something fatty, greasy and salty(and I mean that in a complimentary way) then Jerry’s will hit the spot. This particular Jerry’s has a friendly staff and is kept neat and tidy. If you plan on making a repeat visit, make sure to take the coupons they put on each tray.

I went for lunch today since I was craving a good cheesesteak, and while Jerry’s isn’t the best it isn’t the worst. I ordered my usual and my girlfriend got a grilled chicken sub. Mine came out perfectly but upon first bite of hers, and the look on her face, I knew something was wrong. She told me to try it to see if it was okay, which it wasn’t. I took it back to the counter and was greeted by who I would assume is the owner. I was expecting a lot of questions but I received nothing other than nonstop apology and he exchanged the sandwich for another. The guy who made the sandwich, a chicken philly this time, put provolone on it instead of American and my girlfriend strongly dislikes provolone. Again, multiple sincere apologies and it was exchanged again. Bottom line? The manager is fantastic and knows how to properly take care of customers. The food isn’t spectacular and the carpet is still dirty but the way that the situation was handled deserves another star for that alone.
