I’ve been here 3 times already to give them the benefit of the doubt since the one in Sterling is always on point. But this place is simply not Sterling! During today’s visit the ½ chicken dark and white that I ordered had a funky taste and smell to it. I took two bites took the plate away from my little one and proceed to get going. As I picked my tray up the guy in charge says«that’s it!?» I politely excused myself and said«it didn’t taste right, you may want to check your refrigerator» he said well good luck to you! What a disappointment! It’s safe to say that I walked away and $ 12.75 wasted later I headed to Harris Teeter and got me a $ 6 whole rotisserie chicken :/

Um. Not the best Peruvian chicken. I ordered take out and they said 20 minutes. I figured they were busy. Not a single soul in there when I went to pick up. You have to wonder why it would take so long. The chicken tasted OK. I’m a big fan of Super Chicken in Tyson’s. They have much better flavors and even their sauces are better. Fries were OK. Don’t bother with the salad. It was wilted and smothered with dressing. I’ll keep searching for a better Peruvian chicken place near Ashburn.

Yummy, yummy, yummy. Oh, did I mention the food is delicious??? The fantastic food will take you away to a heaven of tastebuds… Which is good cause the ambulance is totally lacking. But go, eat, and lick your fingers. The food is truly wonderful.

Ordered through grub hub and the Carne Asada was literally missing everything except rice and meat, no Pico, no sour cream, had black beans instead of refried and no tortilla. I will NEVER eat at this location or order from them again.

Everything is always fresh. Not a large establishment. It’s clean and the staff is cool and fun to talk to. Not to far from my job, so access is easy and convenient. Love the prices and the pollo isn’t salty or overcooked.

I love Peruvian food and I’ve tried probably every Peruvian place in NoVA. I’ve been to this restaurant like 3 or 4 times. The food is decent, it isn’t the best I’ve tried. But every time I’ve gone here, the service is really bad. The last time I went here, I ordered only a few things and it took over 45 mins to be ready. But the thing that frustrated me the most was that they were serving other people first that ordered after me, and there was only like 2 or 3 other people there so it wasn’t busy. And it was really uncomfortable because the guy behind the counter looked like he was crying so I felt bad complaining. And the other times I’ve been there, they mess up my order every time. Once they even gave me someone else’s order by accident and I didn’t notice until I got home, I ordered a lot of food too. Probably won’t go here again, there are better Peruvian places than this.

This place is not up to health standards and someone will report them to the LCHD soon enough. Reheats their chicken cooked a day before, dry tasteless and offensive to Peruvian pollo places. The sides are reheated as well. 0 stars.

There aren’t a lot of Peruvian chicken places here in Ashburn, VA but I found one here near the office. Tucked away in the small strip restaurant center off of Waxpool Road just past Loudoun County Parkway, is The Pollo Factory. It’s right next to the Phở restaurant and the Indian restaruant. Maximum seating capacity is maybe 20 inside. I’ve been here several times. The whiff of the Peruvian chicken aroma can be had when walking in. The menu board is above the kitchen area where you order. I am just reviewing the chicken and two sides. I usually order the ¼ white with two sides(salad and rice) and a soda(just one size). Total bill is under $ 10.00. The chicken is juicy and favorful most of the time. Sometimes not so much. The crispy chicken skin with all the herbs and spices are heavenly. The salad is good with their own ranch/white sauce/dressing and the chicken fried rice is okay too. The problem with this place is service and the temperature of the restaurant itself. First the service is just okay. Not the friendliest and not really sure if they want you to come back. But the biggest problem is that I am not sure if they don’t want to pay a high utility bill in the summer or winter. In the summer, the restaurant itself if so hot and humid. And especially with the ovens going, it feels like you are roasting as a chicken in the place. And today, a coworker and I went into the restaurant and it was freezing. Literally freezing. The outside temperature was in the mid to high 30s and it was the same indoors. My fingers were frost bitten after lunch. The food got cold quick. after 15 minutes, the rice tasted like it was just right out of the fridge. All the patrons were bundled up in their coats and jackets. I probably should have eaten with my gloves on. Also, the spicy green sauce was watered down when it is usually thick, spicy and flavorful. Maybe they put extra water in it to make it last longer? I don’t know but after today’s experience, we will have to find another Peruvian chicken joint to visit. Good food but bad environment.

I decided to finally give this place a try. I ordered the ¼ chicken meal with my sides being rice and fried yucca. However I couldn’t help but compare this to my favorite chicken spot Roxys. Address: 19345 Promenade Dr Leesburg, VA20176‑6501 United States Pros: Cheap Large amount of food Chicken tastes pretty good(not as good as Roxys) Unlimited sauces(however I wish they were thicker, a little too runny) Rice was good Cons Staff wasn’t welcoming at all,(they were efficient tho) Yucca was terrible, way too hard and tasted like sadness(still No one can beat Roxys yucca) Place looked a little run down could use a touch up Overall I don’t regret going here, however I’ll probably keep going to Roxys

This was the first time we’ve gotten food from here, and also the first time delivery We ordered from the Ashburn location. It was nice of them to call and alert us that they were out of chicken and we had the option of canceling the order or they would send it from the Other location, but it would be an additional 20 – 30 min delivery time. My boyfriend opted to keep the order We received our order a few mins before 9 and the woman delivering it was friendly. However, when I opened our order I discovered the following problems: 1) we were missing a side order of fried plantains 2) we were missing the 2nd side that was supposed to come with his chicken order 3) my carne asada order was an overcooked well done and tough, but ordered it medium well We attempted to call them back, as my boyfriend had paid for the order via creditcard and there were items missing from the order, but it was after closing(after 9pm). Hopefully the owners read the Unilocal reviews and will reach out to us to credit the order for the missing friend plantains, as we will try to reach them tomorrow about the same. I’m not sure at this time if we will try them again in the future, as ordering them for delivery was a last min choice.

Had the lomo saltado for dinner and was delicious. While admittedly I’m not up on my Peruvian cuisine, this reminded me of a Latin rendition of poutine. The strips of beef being the addition. The location isn’t going to blow you away but it is a solid lunch spot for take out. Didn’t have a chance to try the chicken which I’m sure is their trademark.

Tried the pollo one night as it was next to my hotel. Not bad, but a little overdone and short on flavor. The sauces did help, but just not impressive. Platino frito was good… and made a nice breakfast as well. Salad was ok, but tiny! Im spoiled by my old fave — pollo rico but arlington is a long haul for a pollo. There are others to try in the area so i likely wont repeat.

The flavor out of the chicken was alright… but the food itself was not that great. The fried yucca was dry, overcooked, and hard. The chicken was also dry, and while it had some flavor, I expect a lot more out of a place with such a good rating. The rice was dry, but it tasted OK. We did order delivery, so that might have played a part in it due to the slow service from both the restaurant and delivery service. When we received our food, there wasn’t any sauces to help with the dryness of the food either, which was a huge letdown. All in all, none of us in the office thought it was worth the time or money and we won’t be ordering from here again… which is very unfortunate, as we’re always looking for new places to order lunch from.

The chicken is like a Boston Market chicken with a more flavorful exterior. Once you peel the exterior and the seasoning, it’s a big, fatty, plain tasting rotisserie chicken. If you like rotesserie chicken, you’ll love this place because they give you a lot of it and it’s fresh. We weren’t interested in any of the sides so we didn’t get any.

This place has great, charcoal grilled, rotisserie chicken that was some of the best I’ve ever tasted! The atmosphere is lacking but the service was quick and friendly and when the food is great, atmosphere is not all that important to me. I ordered the half pollo meal and it was big enough for my wife and I to share and the $ 9.50 price is hard to beat on dinner for two! The half chicken was cooked perfect and came with two sides. I ordered the house salad which was nothing special and the fried yucca. I’d never tried yucca before but many reviewers said it was good so I gave it a try and was not disappointed. The fried yucca was kind of like thick cut steak fries and didn’t taste much different from good, hand cut fries. I liked the green(hot) and the white(creamy garlic) sauces for the yucca but the chicken was so flavorful it didn’t need much sauce. We will not be living close by to this place but if we get out here near Dulles, we shall return for more Pollo!

Finally hada chance to taste the lomo saltado! It was super good. I have been meaning to get to this restaurant for the past couple of weeks and they did not disappoint. Will be visiting again soon(ordered take-out).

Slop on a sub roll. Stopped by for lunch and noticed they had a chicken sandwich special that they advertised as including two sides but only received fries. As usual order, sit down, and get ready to wait for the lazy guy behind the counter to get out of his own way. Got home opened up the box and the sub roll to see a mixture of mostly mayo, mustard, some type of shaved cheese, and tiny bits of thigh meat chicken. When I say tiny I mean tiny it was more condiments than anything else. See for yourself in my pictures. I will be avoiding this place, you do as you wish.

I’ve come here quite a few times after writing my initial review and I’m sorry I have to report this but the quality of food I initially experienced has gone done. I mean the plantains and rice were dry, like they had them sitting out for most of the day. However, the chicken was still pretty tasty, thus the reason I gave it a three star rating and nothing lower. I mean I just haven’t been impressed with my meal the past few times that I’ve come. I’m not sure what’s happened to this place but I hope it gets back on track. Initially this was one of the«it» places for me when it came to Peruvian but now this place is more of a convenience than anything else. Also it is more like a hit or miss, but lately its been misses :(.
