Smashburger

When going to a place like Smash Burger, you have to ask yourself «What is a burger, fries, and a coke really worth?» If feeding three people for 55 bucks seems reasonable to you, then by all means, go here. For me, it’s about 20 bucks too much.
Also, the burgers here are without a doubt the greasiest/​slimiest I’ve ever eaten. I couldn’t keep the meat from slipping out between the buns.
The spicy fries are good. Maybe just go for those?

Great burger places if you want a gourmet burger close to the house. The staff is always kind and helpful.

I’ve tried both the chicken and hamburger sandwiches. Both are good but expect grease. Depending on what you order it, some are worse than others.
I prefer the smash fries! I tried the buffalo ones and I found them extremely salty and am not a fan.

So I ordered fake out for my family. Order took longer than pickup time, I kept on hearing the staff saying they got slammed by online orders, maybe that’s why.
Ordered the Spicy Veggie Black bean burger and the avocado black bean. All burgers were a bit dry, had to add our own sauces at home. It was 8 of us, we all thought it was dry.
Ordered side of regular fries and smash sweet potato fries. These were good.
We also ordered fried pickles. Super salty, didn’t finish them and tossed them away.
All in all didn’t like it, missing taste and too dry for us.

I was craving a burger with my dad and we went here. I got the traditional burger with cheese and it was seasoned perfectly and I left the place with a full and happy belly! Wrapped it up with an ice cream float — yum!

Just moved here from Chicago and I’m looking for a big, hand made, juicy burger (which you usually find in bars). Smash Burger is actually very good! The patty was real, fresh cooked beef. Very good.
Cons: My brother got the big size burger but we didn’t notice a difference in size. The patty was the same size as regular.
I also wish the patty was bigger. Everyone loves a big, juicy burger!
Good job, Smash Burger! Not a bad place. Next week, I’ll check out moonies!

Been to Smashburgers numerous times. Food Is good BUT there are always dirty tables! Here now watching help do everything BUT clean tables! Customers looking for a clean table to sit! Had to choose to eat outside! Floors dirty also and booster chairs are not being wiped down!

I usually love Smash burger, however and I don’t know how this location is not a good.
The service is solid, but some of the new people have no idea what they are doing.

Smashburger was okay. Unmemorable. With so many good, quick burger joints I just didn’t get it.

These guys are really friendly and great customer service… I stepped outside for a quick phone call and they accidentally threw my food away thinking I was done and they remade my full meal and upgraded my drink for no charge! Such great service and great workers!

This was our first time eating at Smash Burger. I ordered the Classic Smash Burger and regular fries. My husband ordered the BBQ Bacon & Cheddar Burger, olive rosemary fries and a chocolate milkshake. Our food arrived quickly. The burgers were so good! And neither one of us are fans of shoestring fries but these were wonderful. And all my husband could say about the milkshake was mmmmmmm! Service was very good, the restaurant was clean with the tables being continually cleaned off.

Smash burger is pretty darn delicious.
My fiancé and I both built our own burgers, and boy were they delicious.
Fresh buns so soft and fluffy.
Hot perfectly cooked burgers that you can tell they pat out themselves.
I was not a fan of the smash sauce, but the chipotle sauce was yummy for dipping our fries.
I like that they have vitamin water on tap at the soda station.
Over all, a great burger for a good price.

This morning I woke up with a good Olé hang over. Not your run of the mill hangover but the one where pounding your skull into a brick wall doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Well for me the best medicine is a fat juicy burger. Since I can’t find an open elevation burger to save my life I figured on to something new! When I walked in the smell let me know I was in for a treat. The menu was simple (easy for the hangover reader) and the pictures looked delicious. I ordered the Texas burger and added some jalapeños for the kick. For the side I went with the Buffalo fries something different. Every bite into my meal has nursed me back to a normal state. My head must feel like I’ve made the right decision because it’s not pounding so much. Thanks guys.

Newer reviews seem to be really bad. Most of them about the cleanliness of the floors and tables. We stopped in when they first opened on Sunday and were maybe the third or fourth customers of the day. The place was clean so maybe it gets dirty as the Dago goes on.
This was our first time for a Smashburger and we both enjoyed it, I had the regular bacon cheeseburger and ny lovely companion who doesn’t know how to eat, because she does not eat meat had the veggie burger. It was the largest one she had ever had and she said it was good. So go early before nobody gives a shi#.

I have given this place multiple chances, but today makes strikes. The biggest problem is that it’s filthy dirty. Disgusting. Like every flat surface, whether floor, table, drink station or food prep area is covered in food and or trash. The soap was empty in the restroom, and I politely told the manager, who acted like I was bothering him. I came back hours later to order a drink, ran to the bathroom, and incredibly there was no SOAP! The food seemed stale, like it had been sitting around too long. We won’t be back a fourth time.

Decided to try smashburger again since the last time I went to a different location it was not that great.
Due to traffic on my way home, the sweet potato fries and onion straws were cold. They were still really good, but maybe I needed to eat them there.
I love sweet potato fries.
I got bacon cheese burger and had asked that the American cheese be substituted for cheddar. I still had american cheese on the burger. I won’t hold that against them.
The burger was flavorful, however felt dry as there wasn’t much smash sauce or ketchup on it.
Either way it was decent and the price was fair.

I had some of the best service EVER at this Smashburger.
Weird, right? The servers and cashiers are unfailingly nice, so you don’t have to worry about feeling hassled or rushed. It seemed like they sincerely want to serve and help you!
Like many foods that miss the mark slightly, however, it comes down to one thing — seasoning. The fries, fried chicken, and burgers are SO salty, I had to glob on the ketchup just to cover it up. Especially the fried chicken sandwich — I almost attempted to peel off the fried breading — but who am I kidding, is it even worth it at that point?
If they can fix the salt issue, I really enjoyed the north location and the options offered to fix up the humble, but mighty, simple hamburger.

Major staffing issues. We waited a half hour for food, still wasn’t even close to arriving considering that the people who were ahead of me in line were all waiting with scowls on their hungry faces too. With my two kids crying and whining, I went back to the cashier and demanded a return of my money. I heard some excuses from them and offered advice, when you’re short staffed, tell people they’ll be waiting longer and offer some free shakes. It will lead to more understanding customers who have a sugar high.
Sorry to give a one star because I do love the burgers and salads but you can’t treat patrons or even overwork and understaff your employees and expect to get a good review.

Took my sons here to use up a coupon I had for a 2 for 1 combo. My boys each had the kids smashburger combo. They loved it.
I had the spinach, cucumber, and goat cheese burger. The meat was tasty, and everything was fresh, but there was nothing about the burger that wow’d me. It simply wasn’t greater than the sum of it’s parts. Going back this thursday with colleagues to give the regular burger a try.
The fries were good.

Hubs and I had movie tickets at Alamo tonight and gave this a go for dinner since its nicely located within walking distance. I built my own burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions, and ketchup. I almost added smash sauce thinking it was similar to a thousand island but thankfully the girl working there informed me it was mustard based which is a hard no for me.
Was it the best burger ever? Not really. The grilled onions left much to be desired but was it good, yes. The flavor of the smash fries was KILLER. but shoestring. I’m sorry but I loathe shoestring fries. It’s like having a giant cotton candy and it immediately dissolving the second you eat it. I felt like I would need to eat four batches until I was satisfied. What can I say, I’m a lady that enjoys a thick cut fry. If they would make the same fries cut thicker they would be perfection.
The inside is cramped but it was clean and the staff were friendly. It was decent for a fast food burger but In n Out still has my heart I’m afraid

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO N NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!! I don’t get it!!! Hate me today fellow Unilocalers, love me tomorrow. This is my most ignorant review, but, honestly, I was not impressed. One of the worst burgers ever, but, better than eating from a garbage can.
