Their older sister, Kulshan, may have a grand location, but K2 avoids the busy street hype and indulges in the most INCREDIBLE specialty beers on tap. Their rotating menu is always sure to evoke longing and the folks there are more than happy to allow tastes of all. Bourbon barrel aged nitro’s called my heard and did not disappoint. They have various rotating events happening through the week– such as trivia and specialty performances. Food trucks abound, and you’ll never be hungry if you need a bite. Make sure you’re not parking at another local business while sipping your brew. There are sneaky yellow lines around the area– but parking is free! Fun, cool factor décor with lots of wood, and yes, TV’s for games! You’ll definitely enjoy the whole experience.

This is our favorite brewery in Bellingham! The K2 location is excellent, especially for rainy weather. The outdoor area is not as large as the original location, but the indoor area is awesome. Plenty of seating at beautiful wooden tables, bar tops with stools at the bar and along the windows, including looking into the brewing area. Lots of different beers on tap here versus the original location — some experimental beers, nitro pours, barrel aged, etc. Like he original location, they don’t serve any food, but there is usually an excellent food truck parked outside.

This tasting room was one of the best we have visited. There are so many options to try different beers and I enjoyed all there different ipas! I would recommend getting a flight so you can try more of their beers. The food truck of the day was streats and the food was awesome!

Only went to this location so can’t compare. Large taproom with outdoor seating. Parking can be limited depending on where the food truck sets up shop. Staff was very responsive & friendly. I love the selection of games — including zombie cribbage! We tried the sampler. The Russian Stout was fantastic and so was the Bastard Kat but some of their beers tasted a little flat. We got there right at opening but after 20 or so minutes the place really started to fill up.

I like K2 even better than the first location. Check out their website before you go to see which food truck will be there.

I’ll admit it: I was a little skeptical when I heard that Kulshan Brewery was opening up a second location just a mile or so away from its flagship establishment on James Street. Don’t get me wrong — I love Kulshan and their beer, and a second location made sense, it just seemed odd that it was so close to the first. Well, I was wrong! Now that I’ve visited«K2» a few times I realize what the vision was for opening it, and I LIKEIT! It’s hard to believe that just turning a couple of corners and going under a freeway can cause such a different vibe in a brewery’s location, but this is just what is happening at K2. While«K1» is more of a neighborhood joint, with families and dogs and bicycles everywhere, «K2» is a little more urban… a little more blue collar… a little more(for Bellingham, at least) on the edgy side. The tasting room itself is large and comfortable(and, blissfully, air conditioned). There’s a long counter and plenty of taps offering Kulshan’s greatest, from the immortal Bastard Kat IPA to the stalwart Dude Man Wheat to the smooth-drinking Kulshan Red(plus several other faves) you will find something here to suit your beer palate. They also have large coolers full of grab-and-go growlers — just like«K1.» There are lots of tables around the room, a nice selection of Kulshan gear, and HUGE bathrooms(if you’ve ever waited in the long lines at K1, you will LOVE this place)! There’s also some really neat local art hanging on the various walls that make a great conversation piece while you’re sipping your beer. Food-wise, K2 offers the classic Kulshan menu of either peanuts or pretzels. Thankfully there’s usually a food truck to be found here in the afternoon and evening hours! They also recently added a beer garden, albeit a smaller one than the other location. Still, it’s a nice place to sit on a warm afternoon. The biggest change that you’ll find at K2, though, is that it’s a 21-and-over establishment. So if you’re bringing the little ones along, you’ll need to go to K1 and save K2 for date night!

This place is awesome. Great big taproom. The beer is always great. I recommend the Pale Ale. Its kind of in a working mans area of town. Great after work spot in the center of town. Its my new go to being i work 100 feet away. Great food trucks park in the parking lot too. I like Streat Food on Tuesdays and the Salmon dog from Kermit Dogs on Wednesdays is great. Give it a shot.
