Found this hole in the wall while parking for Ace Hardware which shares a strip shopping center in Bristol. Breakfast all day so why not at 1:00 on a weekday. It’s brightly lit with 8 ish tables and an equal number of stools at a counter, just as one would expect. About 25% full, seemingly all regulars. I see what another reviewer felt about the«banter» behind the counter, somewhat negative and somewhat humorous. Some people just interact that way. I took it for humor. At any rate, we’re here for the food, right? Simply had eggs, home fries, toast and coffee which I would characterize as «adequate». Scrambled were over done and the fries were soggy with onion which was cut big enough for me to remove. Price was 5.64 including tax. There are numerous, better places for breakfast within a couple of miles so, though I won’t say never, I probably have this one out of my system for a while.

Total diner dive. Popped in for a cheap quick bit while I was washing dog beds at the laundromat next door. Service was quick, however the cook was in a foul mood and treating the staff like crap which was off-putting. Sounds like they are family, but still, customers are right there at the counter. Two eggs over easy, toast and homefries came to $ 4.99. Definitely would go with the French toast next time, homefries had no taste and were mushy… However I wasn’t expecting great things, and the meal served a purpose and topped off the tank on a hectic day.

Worst dining experience of my life. Very busy for them on a Sunday morning, waited for a spot to sit. Ended up at the counter, we were all super hungry. I asked if I could look at a menu while we were waiting. The girl said, «my mom has to give it to you». I was dumb founded, so I asked again thinking I misunderstood, receiving the same answer and«Yeah we all have jobs and that’s hers, but I can clean you counter.»(By the way took her three trips to clear the counter that just had napkins and cream containers while two others girls stood at the register looking at us) Our waitress, the mother, walked by. I was fired up and said«is there anyway I can peek at a menu? She said«I still have to give them menus, take their order and pour coffee, then you’ll get your menus». I was in shock, I only wanted to see wtf I wanted to eat while I patiently waited my turn to order. Finally it was our turn, «the mother» came over to greet us with nothing but a frown. Asked my mom if she wanted coffee. Then proceeded to get the pot, pour my moms coffee and looked at me like I was trash saying«you?» I shook my head no.(By the way Rhonda I don’t drink coffee!) Her response, «this isn’t going to get any better so why don’t you just leave» & stormed away. I sat there in shock, with my 12-year-old daughter and 75-year-old mother. She comes back and says«why are you still here?» «My family is hungry», I replied. «Well I’m not taking your order so get out!» Then her husband starts screaming at us. Imagine being treated like that? How does she earn a living? Shame on you Rhonda and your dirty, talentless business, a five year old can scramble eggs and flip a pancake.

I went to Destiny’s for the first time yesterday for breakfast with friends. I saw the door that had an open sign, that looked like the door to enter. Nope. Pro tip: read the sign that says«use other door.» I struggled for a second and then saw the sign and sheepishly walked to the other door, to be greeted by a table full of old townies laughing at me. Luckily they were nice about it and I laughed it off. Still, I want to save you the embarrassment. Use the door to the left! I walked in and after a few minutes of standing there someone told me I could sit anywhere. The staff was nice, but the reason for my two stars is the food. Breakfast is my favorite food to eat out and I love a good diner. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a grilled bagel. I expected a greasy, warm, toasty, golden brown bagel. What I got was a pure white, barely touched, chewy, uncooked bagel. There was a couple of grill marks on the very edges that showed me it was maybe put on the grill for about one second and then taken off. So disappointing and it ruined the whole sandwich. Another disappointment was the egg. Ordered ot over easy and when it was served to me and I picked it up to eat it I saw that the egg had already broken and was all over the plate. I know the egg will break, that’s what is supposed to do. But I think it should be intact when served. I will say that the bacon was good… Nice and crispy like good diner bacon should be. Although I like the diner vibe and our waitress was nice, I probably wouldn’t come back.

Awesome food, price and service. If you want home cooking and conversation it’s a must to eat here. Our family of four ate for under 40.00 including tip.

Family friendly staff serving very generous portions at old time prices. Try the Linguica Omlette for breakfast, you won’t eat the rest of the day!

Nothing fancy, just really good food, extremely generous portions, at an incredibly reasonable price. The wait staff makes you feel like a ‘local’ even when you’re not. I love the meat lover’s omelette — an amazingly large and tasty creation which comes with potatoes and toast… and if I recall correctly it was around $ 6. In newport, this baby would sell for double. If you’re looking for fancy china or a water view, go somewhere else. If you want real good food, cooked and served by real good people, this is your joint.

Breakfast is the best. The prices are beyond reasonable. This is a family owned and operated business so the interaction of the staff is like being at someone’s house. :)

Been coming here for breakfast during my brief vacation here in Bristol while visiting family. All in all, the food is decent and the service is good. You get a good amount for the price you pay which is a good bargain for the prices that they charge on average per meal. Next time I am out this way, more than likely I will be stopping by for a bite.

Food is half way decent, but the service is terrible at best. Arrived at 930 on a Saturday morning, but my food didn’t arrive until nearly 1015. Waitresses didn’t seem interested in us, more concerned with gossiping in the back.

I had a super satisfying diner-style breakfast. Crispy bacon, buttery toast, and perfect hash browns. It’s a great place for kids with a friendly staff and coloring books. I’ll definitely be back.

Very good breakfast menu. The ham and cheese omelet is very good. Plenty of ham and cheese in the omelet. The 2 eggs/toast/home fries combo is also an excellent way to start the day off. The service is excellent and plenty of tables and counter space to sit. Good mom and pop place to have breakfast.

1. The ice cream section is now open. 2. Dinners now available Friday nights only. A small menu is offered. The fish and chip special seems to the favorite amongst the locals. We ordered the chicken bruschetta over penne, chicken parm with ziti and I had the meatloaf dinner. They were good to great, big portions and our total bill was less than 25.00
