Just finished working, mad late got around my way hungry so i stopped in. In the line, it’s my turn to order. One of the servers came to the register to take my order and as he walked from the back scratching all over his body. As he got closer i started to see the rashes on his skin like he had a bad reaction to something he touched or ate. Turned my mind same time. His clothes was so dirty don’t know how he could be serving food. I’ll read the reviews next time no matter if i’m hungry or not.

Just stopped in for a quick bite to eat with Shania. She got buffalo chicken nuggets and fries and I got a checker burger with cheese.

They gave me incorrect change called and told them the manager was very rude and ignorant the food was not cooked right it was just a horrible experience going there I been there before and it was never like that the manager is just rude that’s bad customer service he was arguing with me so I just hanged up the phone ! Bad business never again they food gave me a tummy ache

This Checkers is dirty and uncomfortable. Whenever I’m here I feel like a fight is about to break out or like someone should be setting up the filthy, black and white checkered eating/​standing area for a cee-​lo game. The staff here is ho-​hum and they all act as if they’re working at Checkers until something better comes along. I eat here because it’s the only place that’s open when I crawl out of the subway hole after working late. This place and a really stale looking, all-​night pizza shop on the next corner that will never get a Unilocal review from me because I refuse to spend a coin in that grease trap. Anyway, the loaded fries from Checkers are my weakness and the only thing I eat from this hovel. The fries saved Checkers from a 1 star review. Seasoned fries covered in sour cream, bacon chunks and gooey melted cheese always hit the spot after midnight no matter who’s serving it up.

Ok for a place call checkers, the employees suck. I’m shaken my head because they gave me the wrong order!!! Also the fries were cold as hell.
I don’t know where to start. First of all the cashier look like she ain’t cared if I had the cheeriest smile in the world she jus want to ruin someone else’s day. Another thing, back there was confusing as in did she put my bacon roadhouse burger together or was it baczilla. Then when you get out while on your break to find out they mixed up the order. This suck.
Also there was times where I have to wait about 15 mins. The employees were unprofessional when doing fastfood!!! The only reason why I gave it two was the food. Other than that it would have been rip of an new asshole.

SLOW!!! DOes it really take 15 minutes for a cheeseburger. They were friendly bit this particular Checkers needs training so it doesn’t take 15 minutes for a cheeseburger

What’s not wrong with this place. Late night the people who work here are so rude. But when get get there check there happy. They have to many young people working here. You can see in there face they don’t wanna be here. You can’t ask a? With out getting a face. They make you feel like you beggen to order food. Like they given it to you free. Shit pls. If you don’t like your job get a new one.

The place was filthy. The tables were not cleaned, the floors were not swept, disgusting. I am not a fan of their food, but my best friend is so I kept my peace. I rarely eat fast food. I know it’s located in Bedford-​Stuyvesant and all, but that does not mean they should lower their standards. I’m pretty sure the prices remain the same and so should the quality control.

This Checkers must have a high turnover rate because I always get the noob who messes up my order. Last time I came in I spent 3 minutes telling the lady what type of sundae I wanted, she mixed up the order and blames me for switching it up (I didnt) But I know someone was pissed because she gave me another persons apple pies ;)
So if you stop by for lunch bring $ 10 and a lot of patients… you will be needing it.

Came in for a late dinner after a Yankee game. Thank god they were Open! Bacon-​cheese burger & Chili cheese fries were BOMB! Service was great! I heard the Wings were bomb according to one of the customers.

Stumbled upon this joint on our way back to our hotel. So glad they are open late! We were actually on our way to the a deli on the corner when we saw Checkers and decided burgers & fries sounded better than a sandwich. I’m glad we stopped! Food took about 5 – 10 mins but it was all fresh, made right in front of you. We are from California and were surprised to learn they are associated with Rally’s. Great place to grab a quick bite late night.

First time at Checkers and have to say it was really nice food. I got the wings combo and upgraded to the fully loaded fries (on recommendation from a friend that they have the ‘best fries ever’, and burgers but I was craving wings today so burgers will have to wait) I also got a coupon for a free cone for my next visit which is tempting to return. I got the garlic/​parmesan wing flavor and they were delicious and flavorsome. I did however think the fries with the bacon/​cheese/​ranch was too salty for my liking so I think on return I’ll just stick with the regular fries without the toppings. I can’t wait to get my free cone and check out one of their amazing looking burgers. This checkers venue was clean and new looking and I sat in there to eat as its the only place really in this little busy area that offers seating.

Chili cheese dogs and fully loaded fries are the reasons I come here. They move at a pace, unless you come at lunch or dinner time and the wait can be lil long to get your food. They have a few tables and chairs but, I usually get mines to go. These are great hotdogs, reminds me of the ones you can get in the south. When you can’t get to Hot dog King in Georgia, Checkers will fill that void.

You know reading the previous (and only) review really annoyed me. I don’t like when people decide to move into an area then make negative comments about the residents and or neighborhood. If the area is so ghetto why move here? This community like MANY others has it’s bad seeds. However most of us are hardworking, tax paying people who realized the area was a gem BEFORE a Realtor renamed it in order for people to feel comfortable.
The Checkers isn’t ghetto. is there a classy one somewhere??? It’s fast food for creeds sake!
Anyway the burgers and shakes are pretty decent, I hate ordering in the winter because by the time I walk home my food is cold and it does not reheat well, however in the summer I’m all in!
Love the fries especially.
So leave your bodyguard at home and go grab a burger.

As I’ve developed a bad habit of stopping here for two Bacon Roadhouse Burgers for $ 6 (two patties with bacon and onion rings on Texas toast) and bringing that home for dinner when I’m really drunk, I kind of should give it four star Yay I’m a Fan status, but I can’t bring myself to do so for fast food. There are similar joints on every corner of this busy intersection but Checkers has me craving their food and not dreading going inside to get it. It is relatively non-​Ghettoey, the service is fast and the lines aren’t the insane mob scene at the McD’s up the street, unlike the KFC or the Random Papaya hot dog place on the opposite corner it seems clean and is open way later than the Golden Crust next door. If you don’t see the bus up Nostrand you’ve got a good shot at grabbing a bag of hot, greasy, cheesy food and getting out before the B44 comes.
