Nothing turn out special for food wise! Nice environment and great serving compared with most Chinese restaurant!

The food was pretty authentic and tasted great. The rest of the experience was lacking though. The food comes family style(as an authentic Chinese restaurant would), but the tables are not conducive to that. Also, the portions of each dish were not nearly as big as you would think. Plus, we were seated in the back«room», which is basically a covered patio. It would have been nice if it was May, but it’s the middle of winter, so I’m unsure why they didn’t seat us inside, where there was still plenty of room when we got there and when we left. The group next to us did let the staff know that it was too cold, a sentiment that everyone there undoubtedly agreed with. Due to where we were seated, it also seemed like we were forgotten… besides the food, the entire experience was seriously lacking.

Came here after a good coworker recommended it for their amazing Chinese food and also because she said it was great for children. We arrived and had a little wait on a Saturday night. The ambiance of the place was nice and cozy. The wait staff was nice and friendly. We ordered a drink and asked for a some water when I went to drink my water I noticed something in the water and then realized that there was a roach floating in my water. Nope not lying or exaggerating. We immediately informed our waitress who was very nice and handled the situation by exchanging the glass of water for another. They insisted on giving us a free drink to make up for this. Our food arrived and I can honestly say I can not tell you what the food tasted like because I was so disgusted by this that I could not bare to eat anything here. We left and were sadden by the experience after waiting to be seated for a while. I’m not sure I will be coming back at least anytime soon. I have 2 stars for the nice waitress and for the ambiance.

I ordered from M shanghai in the past and it was always ok, bit pricey for basic Chinese, but conveniently close to our house. But I just picked up my order en received a very disappointing dish that is a ‘house special’ called Crispy duck Erik Parker Style. What I got was cold not crispy duck with 4 cold huge thick tortilla wraps(like the chipotle burrito wraps), not the small steamed pancakes that should be served when ordering duck pancakes. Also no scallions, nor cucumber, just a tiny bit of duck for 4 cold thick wraps with some hoisin sauce. When I called them their comment was that they never got any complaints and basically were not accommodating in any way. I do not know who Erik Parker is, but his taste of Duck is horrible…

I was so bummed tonight to take my wife out for a birthday dinner and showed up 10 minutes before 5 and have the bartender tell us that they don’t open till 5. At that he made the point to say 5 on the button and I got the sense that he asked us to go. I was very disappointed that we weren’t invited to stay for a drink at the bar for those 10 minutes. Instead my wife and I decided to take our money elsewhere! We also love the food here but I am now tainted by your staff!!!

Maybe I’m biased because I’ve been going here for years — It’s basically Cheers with chopsticks for me — but I absolutely love this place. The soup dumplings are phenomenal(pro tip: for some reason I find them tougher/thicker in the lunch and early evening hours, if you want Sublime Dumpling Nirvana go post-9pm), and the staff is friendly and top-notch. Other things I love aside from said SDN: bartender Grant, waiter Hensley, owner Mae; lychee martinis, spicy cucumber appetizer, tic tac toe chicken. You cannot go wrong.

Whenever my boyfriend or sister are in town they want to come here. The Juicy Pork Buns are what everyone dreams about. The hot and sour soup is AMAZING. I get the chicken broccoli alot, its not a typical chicken and broccoli dish bc the broccoli is more like broccolini but i really like that. Anything we have ever ordered here, we are happy with. The bartender is friendly, the service is quick, and we have just began ordering in from here and that has been great too. I am always shocked at the bill, because it is so cheap! I usually drink tea here and I get a big pot for $ 4. If you start drinking cocktails and beers it will add a pretty penny to your check, but every once in awhile you gotta treat yo self! Sidenote: We recently tried«M Bistro» which we assume is owned by the same owner in Greenpoint and were very disappointed… I will always come to this original location.

Pretty standard Chinese(although definitely way better than your average neighborhood takeout joint), but their soup dumplings here are outstanding; they’re probably the best you’ll find on this side of the East River. Super flavorful, piping hot, always intact(even with delivery!), and just the thing for soaking up the last of your hangover. Their fried dumplings and sticky rice shumai are also delicious, and I love that they have a lot of dim sum options for appetizers. The only thing you should stay away from here are drinks; although they have a full bar, their mixed drinks are way overpriced, small, and watered down. Stick to beer or slurping the soup out of your dumplings instead.

BEST soup dumplings ever. Juicy, flavorful and done right. However — the rest of the food is mediocre. Been here many times and tried many things. I find the food is ehh but the soup dumplings are seriously the best. Go there for cocktails and feast on dumplings only.

Food: #6. Dumpling — yum! Es verdad what they say! Kinda bigger n more plump than normal soup dumplings but still yummy #3 noodle soup — big udon noodles kinda rather have more soup than so much noodle still a good value and was good(not great, but good) in a big bowl for $ 9 can share with two people Service Great, welcoming attentive Atmosphere Love it, unique décor w old lights n cool light fixtures, still holding to Asian elements but with contemporary American flair. Conveniently in neighborhood of Williamsburg with lots to walk to and see :)

Great food and sweet staff. I had my birthday dinner there and they were very nice. They sang the birthday song with a gong! The waiter remembered my friends face and he was so nice. I will go back soon!

This place is absolutely amazing! This is the go-to place for my bestfriend and I. They get 5 stars for food and 5 stars for their service, which is incredible. Your glass of water never hits the bottom because there is always someone running to fill it up which says a lot to me! The workers are attentive and very friendly each and every time I go there. The prices are great also. My favorite thing to order from there are the pork buns(obsessed) followed by the Shanghai lo mein. My bestfriend orders vegetable dumplings and chicken lo mein. Honestly the pork buns are a meal by itself but I must always order the lo mein because its just sooo good. We have never ever been disappointed when coming here.

Tasty Williamsburg’s Chinese food. Also great for delivery! Love their soup dumplings! They have 2TV(just at the bar) so it’s nice to watch sports and enjoy good Chinese food!

This place was hyped up very much so maybe I was expecting too much? We got an order of the standard pork soup dumplings as well as the vegetable dumplings. We ended with the cold peanut butter noodles. For the pork soup dumplings, it was pretty good, but nothing special and I felt that the skin of the dumpling was way too thick, like that of a normal Chinese pot-sticker, and not that of a soup dumpling. They’re supposed to be very different. The meat inside was also pretty coarsely ground, although the meaty soup was decent. The veggie dumpling was quite good, and was my favorite part of the meal. Well made. Lastly, the peanut butter noodles I cannot recommend. I’ve had peanut butter noodles that my mom used to make and they were a million times better with some chunkiness to the peanut butter. The ones here were basically over-boiled flat egg noodles with watery peanut butter and sugar. Not a fan.

Great food. Tried a variety of things including scallion pancakes, hot and sour soup, pea sauteed and garlic and egglplant. The eggplant dish was great not overpowering with soy sauce but just right :).

We heard from some friends who really liked the soup dumplings. We decided to drop by and check them out. They were good, soupy and meaty in flavor. I would need to try the other dishes before I have a definitive opinion.

This place was ok. Came here with a large group around 20 and we got to sit in the back. Now I might be biased, being Asian and all, but this place was WAAY overpriced and the food was just fine. I mean if I’m itching for soup dumplings, I’d head to Joe’s Shanghai in Chinatown for the best ever soup dumplings — AND they’re CHEAPER for 8 pieces instead of the 6 you get here for 9 bucks. The noodles, scallion pancakes and other items were all fine, but nothing I need to come back here to get. So in summary, the food was fine, wait staff was nice and company was fun, but this is not a place I need to come to again and not my choice for good Chinese food.* *This might be the best one in THIS neighborhood and I don’t mean to trash any place so don’t be offended if you love it =)

Came here for lunch today and it was pretty good. We had the soup dumplings(steamed juicy pork buns), scallion pancakes, and chicken with Chinese broccoli. It was pretty nice to find soup dumplings in Williamsburg and not have to head all the way to Chinatown. The chicken with Chinese broccoli and the scallion pancakes were absolutely delicious. The soup dumplings were just okay though. There was a bit too much dough. If you’re looking for really good soup dumplings, I’d definitely recommend heading to Chinatown instead. If you’re just looking to fill a craving, this is the place!

This spot is pretty decent. The staff is okay, they really didn’t pay to much attention to us, and never asked us in the beginning if we wanted anything to eat. We order the soup dumplings which were incredible, the chicken and snow peas, and beef and Chinese broccoli(spicy). Overall the two entrees were okay, nothing special, but the dumplings are a must try! We ordered two servings of them, and ate all of them. When you get them, they’re insanely hot, let them sit a minute or two, and poke a whole in the top.

Mind blow dumplings thats why i go often to this place. Specially lunch but tonight was a not great experience. First rude waiter. New one i think a short blonde girl. She bring the check with no even be asked for. Dumplings were good as always, thats why the 2 stars. But awful fried rice i found an onion head on it. Service awful she basically didnt gave us spoons for the dumplings. She barely prepare the sauce and was not nice at all.

Two words — Soup Dumplings. Three words if you are ordering online — Steamed pork buns(sneaky bastards) Holy mother of everything that is holy they are awesome. A bunch of steaming hot sumptuous dumplings filled with sauce ready to go off like a grenade if you so much as stare at them wrong. Coating your mouth and anything within a 2 feet radius with sticky deliciousness, the buns will take you to heaven before you realize you just ruined your shirt and the entire room you were sitting in. Seriously though, they are awesome. The rest of their menu is pretty standard western Chinese fair. Shout out to the huge scallion pancakes that I get to round out the delivery minimum pretty often. Speaking of which the delivery is always pretty fast and the food comes hot. I have eaten in the restaurant too, which is a nice communal space. Relatively clean with a good vibe. But seriously don’t steal — however lie and cheat if you have to, and get your butt some soup dumplings. And then get me some, and we can be friends forever.

This is one of my new favourite places to eat Chinese food. My favourite dish that never disappoints are the juicy pork dumplings(which are bursting wih flavour which you have to eat with a spoon to catch all the juice) and the spicy wontons in peanut sauce. The peanut sauce tends to thicken after a couple minutes if you tend to eat slow and the peanut flavour really comes through. A plus is the owner who is a wonderful lady named May and the bartenders who make really strong drinks and are very attentive. It can get pretty crowded, but I usually sit at the bar for less family style seating. There is also semi-outdoor seating in the warmer months. Overall a great experience every time I go.

There is nothing better in life then some good old fashion Chinese food, and this spot serves just that and always hits the spot. The staff here is great and friendly and there is a decent amount of seating bar/table and space. The Food is delicious all around: –Soup dumplings, flavorful, perfect texture, great broth and meat –Pork belly, very good, a bit chewy, great sweet sauce –Ribs, great garlicky flavor, tendor –Lo mein, don’t love Lo Mein but they make a pretty good one –Mu shu, one of my favorite mu shus of all the spots i ate it in, not greasy, flavorful. All around great Chinese food, fair prices and great spot to grab food and a drink
