They have really good, fast and friendly service here, I had the Chili cheese fries with a Coney dog with everything and the dog was really good with the crispness that a dog should have, the chili was really thick and filling. There was a lot of people here but they were very fast to get us a table and the price is well worth the food here.

This is our ‘go to’ place at least once every few months. The waitstaff are always friendly and quick; and the food is good — what you would expect at a coney island. They have raised their prices which did them more harm than good with so many competitive restaurants just a mile away(Leo’s, Sparta, Zorba’s). I would like to see the chefs come up with one great signature dish that sets them apart from the other family style diners around town.

Why do all coney islands have such poor coffee? We expect the coffee to be bad and it is. One day someone will make the coffee good and have a successful business. I ate a ham and cheese omelet it was average at best. The service was spotty.

I was in the area and had a ½ hour lunch break in between meetings and didn’t want to go to the nearby McDonalds, when suddenly I saw this Coney Island. It’s located in the corner spot of a strip mall, and is quite tiny, but cute. They have a mixture of booths, tables, and even a few«bar stools» where you can sit and watch them cook. I decided to sit at the latter of the 3 because I felt that I would be sure to get the best and quickest service in a spot where the waitresses are passing by you every second. Worked like a charm! My glass of water was always full, she took my order right away, and my food came out within just a few minutes. This Coney has a huge menu which can be overwhelming, but I happily saw a combo plate that had a baby greek salad, spinach pie(or fries or soup), and ½ chicken(or lamb) gyro. When she served the salad, she didn’t serve me the dressing in a tiny ramekin on the side, but instead, she served me an entire bottle of dressing directly from the fridge. Loved that! It was great to be able to choose exactly how much I wanted. The ½ sized chicken gyro was delicious, I truly mean it. It had the perfect flavoring, and was way bigger than I expected. The spinach pie was a typical slice that you’d expect to receive, but still hit the spot nonetheless. Between sitting down, ordering, receiving my food, paying, and leaving, I was there for 20 minutes. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll definitely stop back in if I’m in the area again for work.

This is a fabulous Coney Island. One of my favorites in the Detroit metro area. The lemon rice soup is amazing! I love lemon rice soup, so much that I make my own which is almost as good as theirs, but not quite. What I wouldn’t do for that recipe… Yummy simply awesome. I also enjoy the greek salads here. They have a light greek dressing that is to die for. I like it better then the full fat flavor. They sell both dressings by the bottle and I suggest picking one up for home. I also love the gyro supremes comes loaded with feta cheese so good. This place is all around good. They have some awesome deep fried mushrooms, coney dogs and chili fries. Service always excellent. This buisness has this location as well as a Canton, and Westland, location. The owner is a gem and all locations are fabulous.

Well sadly things have changed. The food still tastes good but their breakfast specials have raised in priced. What was once awesome for 4.99 is now 6.99. The other breakfast specials, in which they use those words come in around 8 bucks. Usually before 11 you can get the breakfast special at places ranging from 2.49−4.99. Why did you ruin a good thing? Why do I have to now go the the fantastic Leos down the street? The server had a real chip on her shoulder. Usually they are super nice. I am deeply saddened. It used to be one of my favorite breakfast/lunch spots.

Nice wait staff. Decent food. Wide open kitchen to see them cooking your food. That being said, walking past upon leaving I saw the cook making a bunch of breakfast meats then he put them into a towel next to the grill. This struck me as odd and gross. Putting mixed meat into a towel some of which I had ordered does not seem sanitary and the guy cooking it made eye contact with me and had an oh shit look on his face. I’m sure that would fail a health inspection and it has totally turned me off to this restaurant

Traveling through Michigan from Atlanta, GA and stopped here for lunch. The village«salad» with spicy chicken was outrageously good — no lettuce but a bowl full of green peppers, red onion, tomato, cucumber, olives and feta. Soooo good! A huge menu with lots of choices both Greek and traditional.

Great place for breakfast, the place is always busy, good deals for breakfast and good coneys and soups. The waitresses are mostly older and know their business and are Johnny on the spot with the coffee, also they have hand squeezed orange juice that the Hubbs loves.

This place is great. Good food, great service at a good price. My only complaint about this place is that there is this one Russian waitress that I cannot stand. She’s so rude and not a pleasant woman at all. Avoid sitting in her section ATALLTIMES.

This place is nothing special. When we walked in, my first thought was«this place smells like sh*t». Because it did. Not literally like sh*t, but some mix of cleaning supplies and body odor. It wasn’t a classy smell. The place looks like your typical cheap diner but didn’t look dirty or anything aside from smelling like teen spirit and the aftermath of a vomit clean-up(I just HAD to come up with another simile, I couldn’t resist). The fact that people are declaring Olympic Coney Island a five star joint actually worries me. I will probably spend the entire night tossing and turning, wondering what happened to the United Tastebuds of America. It’s pretty lame. Supermarket bread with over-greased hash browns with standard eggs. It was fine, but nothing more. There are other budget breakfast spots that do it right. Bottom line: there is no reason for you to ever go here UNLESS all of the following conditions are met: 1) you have no food in the house 2) you only have five dollars 3) you live within a five minute walking distance 4) you can’t convince one of your friends to make you food Service was meh. Our server was bored and so were we.

This is by far the best coney restaurant!!! The food is always good and like the other poster stated, I have never had a bad meal there. Their breakfasts are good, I love the Greek Chicken Breast Bowl and the Mediterranian Plate. All good food!!!

This is my go to Coney Island for hangover/recovery breakfast on the weekends. The place is very clean and well run. The food is tasty, plentiful, and cheap. The staff is on top of things and keep your coffee cup topped off. It’s actually pretty big and has quite a bit of seating, I can only think of one or two times when I’ve had to wait for a table, but during rush times the place is packed(with good reason).

Olympic Coney Island is within a mile of my work, and it is my favorite place to head for lunch. The food is delicious — I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal there. The prices are very reasonable, the waitstaff is extremely friendly, and the food is served quickly.(I get an hour for lunch, and I usually have a little time to nap in my car after I get back to work. I don’t think I can say that for too many other sit-down restaurants in the area.) I recommend the Greek salad, Greek chicken breast bowl, chef’s salad, tortilla wraps(chicken salad and crispy chicken especially — yum!), chicken lemon rice soup, gyros, and omelettes(especially the gyro omelette and Nick’s omelette). It’s all good.(The one thing my husband and I didn’t really care for were the breakfast biscuits, but they’re not horrible. Just don’t expect them to taste like those from KFC or McDonald’s.) My husband loves the coneys, too. He often gets the #2 special, a regular coney and a loose meat coney with fries and a pop. Carryout is super quick, too. Whenever I call to place an order, they tell me it’ll be five minutes, and I think maybe once I had to wait just a minute or two for them to finish my order once I got there. The other times, my food was ready and waiting for me. I just can’t recommend Olympic Coney Island enough for a quick, delicious, inexpensive meal!
