I wouldn’t come back. Food really wasn’t good. Service was ok, not great. Parking was hell. The only thing I really enjoyed was the alcohol, mimosas all the way.

Couldn’t stay away, I guess. When friends are taking you out here, I can’t say no. And, I got a chance to try their fabled burgers. They’re about $ 15 and there are excellent ingredients to choose from. Had to smile at the menu, as one of the sexier burgers is in fact The Royale with Cheese. Sounds great, but on this night, that would be too much for me. So, with all my quirky calibrations, I opted for the bleu cheese and onions, aka the Rose Street Burger. Perfectly cooked Angus burger sitting on what appeared to be a whole wheat bun. Really good, and recommended. Now. I gotta say that I can only handle a certain amount of bleu cheese — less than most, I’m sure. So, I needed to push some aside, but that’s a first class problem. Enjoyed a Moscow Mule, too, as well as dipped into their lean but acceptable wine list. A nice glass of Sangiovese to round things out.

I can’t say that Mo’s rocked my world by any means, but I can’t complain about it either. It’s a fairly large restaurant and a bit on the noisy side so I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you were hoping to whisper sweet nothings in your lover’s ear. You’d have to shout them out loud, but don’t worry, no one will hear them because they can’t hear anything anyhow. We sat outside as it was a fairly nice day and that was a good choice. No issues talking to my lunch companions even with Riverside Drive right behind us. Our server was pretty funny and very engaging, but not to the point where he was annoying. I can’t remember his name, but if I go back, I hope he’s my server again. The food came out timely and the presentation was pleasing to the eye. I had a burger which came with fries. The burger wasn’t sensational, but it satisfied my hunger and I can’t complain that it was flavorless or anything else. Actually, my other three lunch companions had nothing bad to say about the food, but none of us kept talking about how great it was either. I think maybe the beef(pardon the pun) people have with Mo’s is that it’s pretty pricey for food that doesn’t merit the price. If my burger was $ 7 instead of $ 17, I probably would have found Mo’s to rank as a 4 star joint. I walked here from my office so I’m not sure what the parking is like, but parking in this area of Burbank/Toluca Lake is pretty horrible and I don’t think anyone who drove parked in their lot which maybe tells me that it’s not ideal to park there. I don’t foresee myself choosing this as a lunch/dinner destination, but if someone else suggests it, I wouldn’t try to steer them elsewhere.

The farmers salad is amazing! We have never left disappointed! It’s the kind of place you can come to early for dinner with the kids or come back a little later for drinks with friends. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries and Sunday brunch!

I have been here a handful of times and always around brunch time. We have never had a hard time parking or being seated in a timely manner. Our waiters have always been attentive and friendly. As for the food, the taste has always been about average. More often than not the food has been minimally seasoned and borders on bland. The serving size has always been on the larger size, which is a plus. My friends and I usually get breakfast/brunch or salads. The brunch menu includes mimosas as a drink, which is definitely another plus. The restaurants is spacious, clean and well located. The food is served in large portions, but has average taste. The menu prices, in my opinion, are much too high.

Haven’t been to Mo’s in at least two years. First thing I noticed is that their signature barbecue chicken salad is no longer on the menu. It used to be what they were known for. I can’t believe they took it off the menu. What were they thinking when they took it off the menu? One star off for getting rid of something that people liked so much. Two of us split the turkey burger and a chicken pesto sandwich. The turkey burger was very dry. Looked good, but the dry meat spoiled it. Chicken pesto sandwich was great. Loaded with goodies. Sides were sweet potato fries and kale salad. Both excellent. See pics of the food I’ve described. OK Mo’s. You’re still good, but you were better when you had the barbecue chicken salad. Please consider bringing it back.

Let’s not beat around the bush, it’s a diner. Sure, it has an upscale sign and tries to be all warm and snuggly inside, but’s it’s too dated for that. Pmmf. The menu tries to be anti-diner, too, with it’s grilled artichokes, seafood risotto, baby kale and farro salad, and pan seared salmon — but it doesn’t fool me. The menu is a bit pricy. It’s Hugo’s, but not as good. I had the Riverside Burger($ 13.95), done with ever-so-good mushrooms. The mushrooms were seasoned and worthy of a 5.0 star, the rest of it was 3.5 star. The burgers come up with two sides, I had the fries and the couscous salad — both were decent. And they don’t have the BURGERBAR with unlimited toppings any more either(so there!). With a dozen or so drinks on tap, including the very yummy allagash black stout($ 8) & allagash belgian white($ 7.50). But, I just can’t do it. I can’t generate a 4.0 star rating. Even though it’s effort is duly noted, it’s(old)er clientele doesn’t make me run back.

Lunch was fantastic(yuk, did I just use that word?), the service from valet to waiter was outstanding(better choice of words), the food was impeccable(ok, now I’m trying to be all fancy!), but the prices… Still high-YUK! Have to admit, I’m a fan but here is the breakdown from a diner’s perspective: $ 13.95 for a salad and $ 2.75 for a soft drink is high because when you add the sales tax and tip, YOUAREOVER $ 20FOR A SALADANDSOFTDRINK! Now Toluca Lake is upscale and I give you that, but there are many more spots I can eat at in Toluca that offer more than salad and drink for over $ 20. Let’s be reasonable, your lunch menu should offer items around the $ 10-$ 12 and include something other than a pinch in the wallet, like combo of some kind? Hint!

We went here on a lovely Sunday while driving around and looking for something new. We are glad we decided to choose Mo’s! We were first greeted with free champagne! Next, a well known magician performed some tricks for us while we waited for our brunch; with the champagne still being poured(=. Finally, our meals arrived, and… DELICIOUS!!! Overall: drinks, entertainment, fantastic food, and a cosy atmosphere, all without denting the wallet!!! We will definitely recommend and come back to Mo’s again!!! ~V

I don’t want to beat a dead horse, but the old Mo’s was great. This Mo’s is, well, something else. Standing on its own, this restaurant is mediocre. Not terrible, but nothing I’d tell a friend about. There is little character and little imagination with regards to the menu. It’s the typical pseudo-modern Cali cuisine with an inflated price point; the kind of experience that leaves you wondering what happened to good food at reasonable prices. I’m sure some people will dig this place, no judgment here(ahem).
