We ate there on a slow Thursday night. There was obviously enough wait staff but because we had a child they stuck us in a corner booth and forgot us for most of the meal. It took quite awhile to get the kids menu. But once we got the menu we ordered the kids meal and it came quickly. The host/waiter was a bit overwhelmed or forgetful and either indifferent or just had a satcastic sense of humor it was hard to tell which it was. The appetizer were decent in size and taste. The steaks were nicely done and we enjoyed both types of filet were nice. If you’re in an airport hotel near SFO not a bad place to eat. The wine by the glass was decent. Would recommend if you don’t have a car a need a place to eat in walking distance of a few airport hotels.

Randomly ended up here on the way home seeking a decent Happy Hour as I was on the 101. Just ended up here somehow alone and it was a solid Happy Hour with a bunch of old suburban people. It had a really cool local jazz pianist that was playing some great tunes so props to him for holding it down. Considering how large the building was I think I was one of ten people here for Happy Hour and that just didn’t make sense. Looked like Gordon Ramsey needed his Kitchen Nightmares here or something.

We made Christmas Eve Dinner reservations here. After reading the reviews my husband and I were both not sure what to expect. Well, it was amazing! We were the early diners, got there at 5. We were the first ones there and only table for about 30mins; it was nice. Our server was good, friendly but not over the top. He did a great job. We got a bottle of white wine and the prime rib egg rolls as an appetizer. These were delish! YUM! Our steaks were cooked perfectly! Seriously, both ordered medium(one filet migon and one strip, both grass fed) and cooked to perfection. The flavor of our steaks were quite delicious, tender and juicy. We both had the mash potatoes, they were divine. I had the garlic broccoli, it was very very garlicky! Wow! My husband had the crab Mac-n-Cheese, it was delightful! We were too full for dessert. Next time we want a steak, we will come back here! It’s a great location and quick friendly service.

I ate here about two weeks ago during my first visit to San Francisco. It was suggested by a friend who lived in SF and explained that it is the most affordable steakhouse in the bay area and it is worth the short drive out of the city. The appetizers alone are a reason to go here. I remember having the oysters and them being so good that we ordered another round. Obviously being a steakhouse the servers are out of the best quality in the restaurant business. Right when you walk in they treat you like royalty and that is pretty great in itself. For the main course we ordered the Filet Mignon which was absolutely delicious. You know a steak is of the best quality when you don’t even need a sauce to compliment it. When I go back to the Bay Area in December I will surely be back here at least once.

We try to have nice dinner went to medallion steak house party of 3. We start with champaign they didn’t have what we want but was on the menu. Then we order steak for dinner that wasn’t cooked right. We wasn’t happy at all already try to use gift certificate which was issued from the restaurant they didn’t honored. We have to call police they were agreed with us, they said they don’t even come to this restaurant. Restaurant was empty nobody else but us. I do not recommend this restaurant to anybody!

APPETIZERS! That’s all I have to say about this place. The appetizers we got to try were: Lamb burger Cheeseburger Cheese Pizza Steak/Chicken Nachos Steak Tacos They were all really good. The cheese pizza was especially surprising to me, I normally never ever order just cheese pizza alone, but this one was really good. They had some basil leaves and seasoning on top as well that took a normal cheese pizza over the top. They also have pretty good selection of drinks here as well. I had the Prohibition that was on tap so I was glad they had some good amber on tap. Parking lot right next to the restaurant, and to my knowledge they have free valet here too.

The food was very well prepared. We both had filets mignons that were cooked exactly how we requested. We shared a cheesecake for desert. The cheesecake was good but the raspberry sauce topping was not to be desired(only drawback of the visit). The bottle of Cabernet was reasonably priced. We were very surprised that the restaurant was virtually empty on a Saturday evening. Waiter said they were slammed the night before.

Hmm, not too impressed with this place. All the food was not bad, but just okay. You just expect more from a steakhouse, you know? Especially for steakhouse prices. We probably should have taken cues from the warning signs: 1. Had a reservation for 7p, called to move it up to 6p and they said«just come whenever.» 2. We were one of two parties in the entire restaurant(and the place is pretty damn big). 3. By the time we left, no other parties had arrived.

No. My boyfriend and I got a groupon and figured it’d be a pretty good deal. When we arrived, the place was d-e-a-d. Our waiter was pretty nice and we ordered sliders to start and steak. While the sliders were good our steak came out raw when we ordered medium rare. If the name of the restaurant includes«steakhouse» you better damn well know how to cook steak. smh

We came here on a Sat and even though I read the bad reviews, I still wanted to give this place a try. I’m still not sure why this restaurant is rated so poorly. Our food was good, my fiancé ordered the Prix Fix Prime Rib dinner and I had the Braised Short Ribs. My food was a bit dry but it was still okay. My fiancé thought his dinner was good although his cut had a lot of fat on it which I thought wasn’t cool. When I tried it I have to say the meat was so tender, I thought it was really good. We also had crab cakes which were very delicious. Ended it with dessert which was awesome(hazelnut cake) and port, yum! Our server was fantastic. I can’t understand why the place was so empty. They have an amazing bar with a huge outdoor patio. Maybe it is more popular during the week? Or maybe it’s the location? Not sure, but I would come back again.

I used a bloomspot coupon to dine here. It was steakhouse restaurant with a lot of open space, but not very crowded. Beautiful location and I walked pass a beautiful outdoor fire pit lounge area. * Angus Bone-In Cowboy Rib-Eye(20 oz. cut, baked potato and broccolini) $ 36(4 of 5) — Broccolini was a little salty, but the rib-eye was good. It was a good piece of steak and cooked better than the prime rib. * Slow Roasted Prime Rib(16 oz. cut, creamed spinach, baked potato, horseradish cream) $ 29(3 of 5) — Prime Rib was rather bland and not that tasty. The texture was not that soft, I wouldn’t recommend it. This is a huge location and I would recommend it for huge groups looking for a last minute gathering place. It is spacious and has a beautiful modern décor. However, the meat is only ok. The rib-eye is better tasting than the prime rib.

I should’ve written this review ages ago. Do you ever write a review just to see how many check-ins you have? Thats me for this one! What can I say, that number next to my tiara makes me feel so… accomplished. psssstt. closer… this is ONE of my treasured spots in cute little Burlingame. I come here about once or twice a month, sometimes with a big group, sometimes with just one or two, which translates into… Medallions is safe for a rowdy good time with lots of space to run your restless self around or just some quiet heart to heart mingling. The noise level is low and theres no need to yell and accidentally spit on your neighbor ew. So the bartenders, previously Nick, now Bret, always delivers. He’s the man. Come for the Happy Hour Specials from 4−7pm and you wont regret it. We always get the: fresh oysters(I crave and dream about these oysters on a weekly basis), kobe beef sliders, tacos and occasionally, the margherita pizza. The food is always consistent, the drinks fabulous. When you walk in, make sure to veer left, in the area with the bar. Against the wall– you’ll see a row of comfy benches with plushy cushions and airy pillows. **Please note, this entire review is for the HH area and specials only. [The right side of the restaurant are for diners and the regular menu, a little pricey and just okay IMPO]. Jonathan, the restaurant manager is cool and is usually always on site when I’m there. Remember where Kuleto’s use to be? This is where Medallions is now, look for the rectangular green sign by Broadway’s exit. There is complimentary valet parking. Don’t forget to tip the tenders and valet guy =D

Not sure how the steaks are but they have a monster of a burger that’s good enough to be added to the lunch rotation! 3.5+ MEDALLIONKOBEBURGER — $ 12– 8oz ground kobe, house sauce(thousand island-ish) gooey melted cheddar, with a mountain of sweet caramelized onions, with a toasted and pillowy sesame bun. The caramelized onions were more like caramel onions since they were so sweet, kinda overpowered the beef. Even though the patty itself wasn’t the beefiest tasting, I liked how it was a substantial portion. ( ) This man food burger will definitely put some hair on your chest. The fries that came with were thin cut, crisp and light with a dusting of herbs. Came with three difference sauces, I’m addicted to the smokey chipotle one. ( ) Roomy inside makes it good for groups. Friendly service. Good spot for a work lunch. Considering a Red Robin /BJ’s burger is about the same price with more crowds, I’d rather much go here. ( ) I’m trying their French Dip next or maybe trying their happy hour specials in the lounge.

Went here for dinner with a Groupon. It wasn’t dead but not very busy for a Friday night. We were seated quickly and our server was great. We had the spring rolls, good but I loved the cream fraiche horseradish sauce. Heirloom tomato salad, really good, wedge salad was not remarkable. I had the grass fed coffee crusted flat iron steak, it was good but I didn’t taste/notice the coffee rub. He had the corn fed teriyaki skirt steak. He liked it, it just tasted like teriyaki to me. Mine came with braised kale & I ate every last bit of it, so yummy, and a potato cake but it was meh. His came with wax beans, carrots & tomatoes. It was all very pretty. For dessert we had the hazelnut cake and it was really good & rich. It was mostly chocolate mousse. I didn’t understand the cake aspect. The space is gorgeous! They spent lots of time & money on the remodel. There is a huge bar(I’m coming next for happy hour) and a big outdoor seating area with a fire pit & projection screen. Would be a great place to watch a game. Diners were dressed mostly in jeans but I saw some guy in an Adidas track suit & loafers, no socks. Sorry dude, I had a good laugh at you.

When trying a new place, I always like to start with lunch, it is less of an investment in the meal! We arrived at 11:45 am and left about 12:45 pm, and the entire time we were the only ones eating lunch, no one else ever came in. Our server was just okay, you would be thinking he would be standing by considering we were his only customers. Now onto the food I ordered Prime Rib Spring Rolls which were not very good, I didn’t even bother finishing them and I also ordered Rib Eye Tacos, the meat was overcooked and it was crunchy, yuck!!! Now we know why we were the only customers there!!!

I am surprised to see so many 3 or 2-star ratings. I loved everything we ordered here tonight. The place was clean and beautiful and definitely a higher-end restaurant feel. The staff was attentive and nice. Our car was valet parked. We came in very early though, around 6 pm on Friday, so the place was sort of empty. By the time we left around 7:30 pm they got pretty good turnout, considering today is the day before Christmas Eve and the whole area near downtown Burlingame was a little dead. We had: Chilled Jumbo Gulf Prawn Cocktail — fresh big prawns and the sauce was good. Organic Mixed Greens– One order is so huge that it is enough for two to share. I loved this dish. There is crumbled blue cheese and candied walnuts in the salad. The mixed greens were so fresh and the vinaigrette was perfect. Medallion Kobe Burger –My 6-oz medium-rare burger was cooked perfectly and so juicy and good. It was served with melt cheddar cheese and some special sauce. The brioche buns were very very soft so as you bite into the sandwich it could get messy as it does not hold up the burger well. Eating burger is supposed to be messy so I was enjoying it! I like how they separate the veggies(fresh lettus, sliced tomatoes an fresh red onion rings) on the side instead of inside the buns so that the burger and melt cheese stayed warm. You insert the veggies yourself when you are ready to serve. The burger came with a huge amount of French fries, which were perfect in my book. I am not a big fan of French fries. But I tasted a few of them and then could not stop eating them. The doneness was just perfect; crispy outside and soft inside and they were not burned or too greasy. Pan seared organic salmon — The salmon was cooked perfectly in a white wine sauce and served with white corns, baby spinach and herbed potatoes. Definitely a lighter and healthier choice. I also loved the complimentary sour dough dinner rolls served with butter. The rolls were so fresh and warm and perfect to start the meal. Our bill came to $ 56 before tax, but with a Groupon our balance was a whopping $ 10! We paid $ 10 tip as well so what a deal using the coupon. Even with the full bill, I still think their dishes were worth the price.

Had 8pm Friday nite reservations for a surprise party, and the restaurant was about a quarter full. We were seated in the private dining room, which came equipped w/a pull down projector screen and it’s own surround sound system. Not sure what the screen is normally used for, but it wasn’t used when we were there. After about half an hour of occupying the room, our waiter finally asked us if we wanted some music on. We said yes, and surprisingly a steady flow of good reggae played. We ordered calamari and prime rib spring rolls for appetizers. The calamari was pretty salty, and the prime rib rolls, although tasty– wasn’t what I expected. It was comparable to 711 taquitos. My friend and I split a Caesar Salad(they were able to serve it on 2 plates) and our portions were huge. It was pre-mixed w/a garlic anchovy dressing, which to me– was to die for. Best Caesar salad I’ve had in a long time. As for the main course, I ordered under the«Corn-Fed» menu of steaks, and got the Angus Bone-In Cowboy Rib-Eye, done medium. When our entrees came out, everyone’s mouths dropped when I got mine.(I was the only one in the group that got the Rib-Eye). Then, an uproar of laughter followed. The damn steak was as big as my head! I ate the important parts(the fatty edges), but the rest didn’t seem grilled to my preference, and by that point I was ready for dessert. For dessert we ordered: A round of coffees Crème Brulee: Had a thick, semi-burnt, crispy shell, just the way I like it. Hazelnut Cake: Very, very rich. The hazelnut and dark chocolate mousse cake was too dense for my liking. Raspberry Lemon: Raspberry and lemon crème, on top of a lemon pound cake. I’m more of a chocolate girl myself, but surprisingly the tart taste of this dessert was quite refreshing. Chocolate Mousse: Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate mousse. Simple but hit the spot. Overall, I walked away from this place feeling content w/the Caesar Salad and dessert alone. The ambiance was nice, but the restaurant lacked customers and felt empty and sad. They offer complimentary valet, but apparently only for a certain amount of time, because some of my party parked on their own. Doubtful I will be back. 2.5 and rounding up.

This place used to be Kuleto’s if my memory serves me right. This is the first time i have been to this place not by chance but because our friends has a diner card. hey why not? You get to try a new place as well as at a discounted price. Can’t beat that… Never thought to come here not because of the mixed reviews, but because there are so many better places to have steaks around this part of the area. Medallion’s is relatively new and have not made a name for themselves when it comes to steak and that clearly shows. Our friends initially wanted to go to Sundance in Los Altos but unable to get reservation for 6pm so they chose to go to Medallion’s Steakhouse instead. So here we are. When we arrived at the restaurant, there was no one to greet us or seat us. It was strange that nobody was at the front. After what seem like an eternally, we finally were seated. It must of not been our nite to be here. We were seated next to a room that had a special event. They had the music blasted as loudly as any ear can permit. Very tortoreous if you don’t listen to that type of music and as well wanted just to have a nice, quiet dinner to end the week. It must of not been our nite to be here. We noticed once we were seated, there were no plates and utensils only on our table. Every other table which was vacate had all the amenities. How weird is that?!! As you can clearly see, they weren’t quite up to par with their level of services as well as etiquette. We all decided to order two appetizers and then our main course. We ordered the fried calamari and the dungeness crab cakes. And yes, we finally got our bread and butter. The fried calamari was a bit soggy and tasteless but luckily the sauce gave it a little spicy kick to it. The dungeness crab cakes were ok. I think I had store bought ones that tasted better. Nothing special about these appetizers. Between the four of us, I had the hanger steak. My Bf got the ribeye steak and the couple that was with us had the some kind of steak that was humongous. I did not like my hanger steak at all, very dry and tasteless. While my eating companions thought theirs were a tad salty but overall not bad. We brought our own bottle of wine to compliment the steak which is a Merlot dated back the year 2000. Overall, the food wasn’t bad. Our services on the otherhand, was unimpressive. They only had one waitress for that nite. Did they not think people go out and eat even if it is a Sunday nite? At the end of the nite, the things I was impressed about this place is that they do have really good sourdough bread. Crunchy outside and warm and soft in the inside. Their complimentary corn soup was very good. I think that was the best dish of the nite. Lastly, their portion is huge. If you can’t have taste, have a generous portion of steak.

I found out about this place through Unilocal,of course, and although the rating was only 3 stars, I decided to give it a try since the Happy Hour sounded so good. It was my anniversary weekend and my bf is out of work, so we decided to keep it low-key and not-glamorous.on a budget. We went on a Sunday, got there around 6PM and we were the only one at the bar area. It was nice not to have to wait for service, but it was a bit awkward since we were the only customers. The dining room was not much more crowded. I believe there were only 3 or 4 tables. The parking lot was almost empty. kinda sad! We ordered the following: Chicken BBQ Pizza $ 5(such a great deal, the size was large I thought and it was tasty) (3) French Dip $ 7.50(Yummy and tasty, no complain!) (3) Sliders $ 7.50(they are HUGE!!! and very very delicious and juicy) (3) Tacos $ 7.50(The chipotle sauce was spicy and gave a kick, yumm) (6) Raw oysters $ 6(very fresh!!!) (2) Margarita $ 10 A glass of beer $ 3 Our total was a bit over $ 50. pricey for happy hour, but that’s because we ordered a lot of food. that was our dinner. A great place for happy hour. the quality of the food is top notch. also. the bartender, Jeremy was generous with the alcohol. I was buzzed after my 1s glass of margarita. n since I was a bit buzzed. I accepted his offer for a 2nd glass! lol. It was all good. hope their business will last. they probably have to do a better marketing… The place. the lounge + patio were very beautifully decorated with fancy couches, fireplace, fire pits(outside) and candles. We will come back to try their steak when our budget allows in the future.
