Holy crap the food is foul and tasteless. The rice was old and to cap it off i order spring rolls to find when i got home a foam box with rice in it and no spring rolls. Expensive bad food. Dumps like this needs to be shut down.

I’ve been in search for some good fast Chinese food. Have yet to find a decent take out spot here in SCV. :( The food is cheap and a good amount was given, but the taste wasn’t there. Food is edible, didn’t get sick from eating it, but they need to step up their game. I got the sweet and sour chicken, good flavor on the sauce, but not much flavor when you bite into the chicken. I also got some chow mein, which was okay. One thing that I really liked was that the food was still nice and hot when we got home to eat, but overall I don’t think I’ll be going back. Best of luck Golden Wok!

Made to order & the noodles are amazing! Orange & teriyaki chicken are the best options!

Didn’t really care for it. We had orange chicken, mandarin chicken, a teriyaki bowl and pot stickers. Neither orange or mandarin chicken tasted right. It was tender but flavor was definitely off. The potstickers didn’t have any meat in them, they were more like deep fried egg roll filling. Won’t be going back

I have tried this place many times, different plates and its just not that great. The oil they cook in or the sauce they use is what makes the food decent. I’m not saying it’s a horrible spot, but I’ve had other places that are way better. SIDENOTE: the only thing that is good here and I have gotten a handful of times are there veggies rolls, just enough crisp.

Ok I have rediscovered this place. I came here years ago and recently tried them again. I don’t know why I waited so long. The food is really good and has flavor. Not only that the owners really make you feel welcome. They drive a long way to this place everyday and we in canyon country should appreciate that there is a good fast Chinese restaurant right here. Their place isn’t fancy but if you want good portions at a great price this is your place.

So in my last review I was very excited to find a local place with decent take out food. Well I have been disappointed the last two times I went in there. The reason I really liked this place was because the veggies were fresh and tasty and since my son daughter in law and grandson are vegetarians I would request that they do fried tofu to add to the veggie dish. This was done for me and all was ok. Then I called in an order and the lady on the phone said«I don’t know what you’re talking about you must have the wrong resturant and we don’t have or have never made fried tofu here». Now mind you I was being very patient and tried to explain that she’s made the dish for us many times now and try as I may she wouldn’t have it. So I got in my car and drove there so the lady can see me and maybe I can explain again. I stood in front of her and tried to remind her that was there a couple of weeks ago and she was the one to give me the fried tofu. I was so frustrated but her response that I walked out saying a few choice words under my breath. I am a lady after all. Needless to say the next time I wanted Chinese I drove clear across the town to A & B Chinese resturant. Gosh why can’t we get a decent resturant by our side of town!

One of the best Chinese places in the area, If you’re craving chinese food, I urge you to skip on the Panda Express and come here. The food is better tasting than Panda and it also cost less. It’s not fancy restaurant but the food is absolutely great.

Ok, there is something one should understand before going to this place. Despite the large bold faced letters reading«Teriyaki» advertising otherwise, this is a Chinese restaurant! Therefore(and as I can say from personal experience) the teriyaki and yakisoba are both quite pitiful and should be avoided at all costs. With that out of the way, this place is pretty dang good. The portions are glorious and the menu is well rounded and full of quality items one might not expect. While the orange chicken and chow mein are underwhelming, items such as their Mongolian beef, cashew chicken, hot and sour soup, and kung pao are all delightfully tasty. But my favorite is their curry chicken ordered extra spicy. It is quite delectable and steal for the money. I grew up nearby and still come to this place when I visit home. The same friendly family still operate it, the menu tastes the same as it did half a decade ago, and I still have to pry at them to get extra chili paste every time I pick up to-go. Sure it could be better, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Food is delicious and the place always looks clean, but one of the ladies that takes the orders is kind of mean… But my order is always correct and I enjoy the food.

OMG. Very Good for a Budget. So I live near by. and I been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally the moment to try this place came upon us, since our original plan to eat else where was a no go. We showed up. first impression of the restuarant was decent at first. We were alone. after we order a flock of people started lining up behind. The cooks finally started moving around in the back and you can smell the fresh food getting made. The place inside looked really clean and neat. Took maybe 10 – 15 minutes for our food to be made. We ordered 2x terriyaki chickens, 2x wontons, 2x in house specials of orange chicken. The prices over all were pretty good, and the food was fantastic. The portions for everything as far as prices go was large. The Terriyaki Chicken Bowls are serve with rice veggies, delicious chicken and decent veggies if you’re a picky eater. lol The Wontons were missing the actual chicken inside, it was more soup than anything else but it tasted pretty decent. The star of the show was the Orange Chicken Special. the chow mein was super good and the orange chicken was more delicious than pandas. If your in the neighborhood and craving chinese food, I highly suggest you try this place. Im sure you wont be dissapointed.

Cheap, made fresh when you order so it’s not just sitting around like most take out Chinese, awesome Chinese food to go. Don’t know what all the complaints are about

First off, they must have read the prior reviews about the place being dirty and gross because it was clean and well-kept when I went. I mean keep in mind, this is a Chinese joint not Ruth’s Chris. Service was quick enough and the lady was friendly. I spent $ 10 for a dinner special and soup and there was a lot of food. I got the Orange chicken and frankly it was gross. Not to say I didn’t eat it, I mean how else would I be able to give a legit review? But really, it wasn’t great, just tasted wayy to greasy. However, I got the egg flower soup because I wasn’t feeling great, and It was freaking delicious.

The place is just ok. I’ve only been once and the teriyaki chicken was cold, had a lot of fat and gristle in almost every bite. The vegetables are also salty.

I was extremely impressed & satisfied with this, place. Best fast food for Chinese I’ve ever had, they cook everything fresh & made too order. The lady was, very nice. The prices r fair less then $ 20 depending on what u get. The mushroom chicken is actually mushroom chicken w real mushrooms that are fresh(best part). The orange chicken is really chicken & very crispy. I suggest this place too anyone who is looking for fast Chinese food that’s extremely fresh! Awesome job!

For a neighborhood spot, I couldn’t be happier with Golden Wok. The ladies up front know my orders and how I like them cooked. The food is cooked fresh and tastes really good. They surprisingly have a real good chicken curry. I visit this place about every 10 – 14 days.

There should be… I wish light and healthy also meant good. No brown rice. Hardly any teriyaki sauce. I’d rather be met with the cold austere of some traditional Chinese restaurants than with the overly fake… with a smile wider than a cheshire cat. Reasons that Solicit an Ugh: Order mix up. Dry chicken. No quenched hunger. :( I even forgot that I started this review ages ago, and left it for fossils to form on it. Time to close this chapter, for unfortunately this review will serve as a reminder that I should skip past this place. — Will

Food didnt taste terrible, however, Dirty floor, strong odor of old rag coming from the table, unfriendly staff, steam rice which had clusters(not fresh, probably cooked the day before), soggy orange chicken. U get the picture. I only finished half, and I hope they don’t serve leftover of mine to other customers.

This great spot is really under rated and easily missed by many SCV residents. We usually order the curry chicken, orange chicken and custom sweet and sour chicken. Bowls cost $ 3.99 and come with white rice. They cook it fresh as soon as you order it. Great deal and decent size portion. Interior is nothing special but we usually pick and take home. Its a great alternative to Panda Express and supports small business owners.
