I personally love this place! I think people are way too hard on this place. Great price and portions. Yes it looks old but the food is yummy. Try it for yourself!

This is Schoolteachers favorite Chinese Restaurant. We stopped in for food one weekend, and Schoolteacher excitedly stepped up to the counter and ordered a double orange chicken with noodles. She then ordered the same for me, because it’s the best orange chicken she’s ever had. She also asked for a soda, and I picked a bottle of water out of the fridge they’ve got there. Two orders of Orange chicken with beverages ended up being around $ 15. Totally reasonable prices for two lunches. Looking around the place, it looks like it’s been here for eons. It’s a cramped, dusty place, and it’s got some random stuff on the counter. There are to go menus, assorted books, some video cassette tapes, some pens… truly random stuff. With a hearty thanks from the guy behind the counter, our noodles and chicken were scooped into clamshell containers, and handed to us. We then stepped over to a table to dine on the best orange chicken ever. One employee quietly ate her lunch at another table. The place was empty. As I sat down, I saw a guy in a tiny backroom playing candy crush saga on a laptop. Gotta keep yourself busy I suppose. After the Unilocal photo, I dug in. The Orange chicken was in fact pretty dang tasty. It was thick with sauce and oranges. The noodles were the thick kind and they seemed cool. It felt as if it had been in the case a lil bit. I’d imagine fresh out of the stove it’d be dynamite. I focused on the chicken, meanwhile, Schoolteacher focused on the noodles. After finishing the double order of chicken, I was quite full. Conveniently, Schoolteacher had finished her noodles, so we combined our leftovers to get a nearly complete order. Speaking of to-go, they don’t have gift certificates here. I had tried some months back to get a gift certificate for Schoolteacher’s birthday. When I asked, they were quite confused. Only a few of the employees understand english beyond your order. So to sum up, they’ve got good sized portions, cheap food… but next time I think I’ll take a to-go order, as the place itself does show it’s age.

I think people are too hard on this place. Sure, it’s a hole in the wall and looks run down, but I’ve been eating the food here for years and I like it. Is it the best Chinese food? Definitely not, but it’s pretty tasty and obviously I’m happy enough to keep coming back. Good size portions and the price is pretty good. Every one here is always friendly and one guy(maybe the owner) is always making jokes and he’s sweet. Yes the chow mein could use some flavor so I usually throw some spicy sauce on there, but everything is pretty good. Eggs rolls are really good and by far my favorite are the BBQ spare ribs! Get them early though because they usually run out at the end of the night. Expect buffet style, been sitting out heated, but always tasty. Don’t come here is you’re a food snob because you’ll hate it. If you want some tasty Chinese on the cheap then this is the perfect place for you.

For as long as, I’ve lived in Santa Clarita, hesitated to walk into this restaurant. My bad for not reading the reviews. Disgusting !!! I had to throw the plates out. Absolutely, no flavor in the noodles. The one star is for the small pieces of chicken dressed in a sweetened teriyaki. The beef and broccoli, didn’t have flavor. The orange chicken didn’t have any orange flavor, simply glazed. Warning!!! Warning!!! I guarantee you will feel the same. Your better off next store at Rosarito Grill.

Very tasty as compared to other Chinese delivery in the area. The Three Shreds and egg rolls were great. It took about 45 minutes for delivery.

Took them nearly 2 hours to deliver. Every time I called they said that they were on their way and was busy. Didn’t even offer a discount. Food was cold and terrible. DONOTORDERFROMTHISPLACE! This is the first review I’ve ever done on Unilocal… Just had to let everyone know what sloppy service and food these people have. Worst service I’ve ever received in my 32 years of existence!!!

So my husband and I just decided to order take out because it was too hot to cook. Nothing we ordered was too complicated the basics, orange chicken, beef and broccoli steamed rice and a couple egg rolls. Just as we were completing the order and he processed our credit card we go to hang up and the man proceeds to start bad mouthing us and cussing about us for waisting his time to another employee. We will definitely be sure never to waste their time with our business again.

Ok, Hot summer night, didn’t feel like cooking. Hubby suggested Chinese takeout. Got the 2 item Combo, lo mein noodles, Orange Chicken & Black Pepper Chicken. Popped it into the microwave as soon as I got home. Will have to say that the guy behind the counter was nice enough and he really filled that to go box. Had plenty of meat and noodles for 2. Obviously not the most extraordinary Chinese available, but it certainly satisfied a craving!

The delivery was 1 hour 30 minutes and it was the worst chinese food I have ever had. The chicken lo mein was dry and there was maybe 2 pieces of chicken. The beef kung pao did not even look like beef! I couldn’t tell what it was. BIG disappointment! We need a GOOD chinese delivery place in Canyon Country!!!

So here’s the Canyon Country answer to Panda Express. Certainly not as attractive and it seems to be ‘Express’ in name only. I waited 15 minutes for a take out order of Shrimp Lo Mein and Won Ton Soup. 15 minutes? What’s so ‘Express’ about that? I saw one guy come in, make his order and leave while I was waiting for mine. Maybe they were making a fresh batch of Won Ton. Or sauteing shrimp. I don’t know because they communicated nothing to me at all. Yep, I got to agree with the other reviewers, the service here sucks. At one point one of the employees came out to have her dinner. Now I don’t have a problem with an employee having his or her dinner. But while someone is waiting 15 minutes for an order? In a place labelled ‘Express’? Finally got my order and the soup was mega-hot. When it finally cooled down, it was a pretty decent Won Ton with large slices of pork and a couple of big Won Ton’s. Lo Mein was a very large portion. However, it was very bland and flavorless. Needed to pour on a lot of soy sauce to get some flavor going in any way, shape or form. Based on all that, I think I’ll take my Express to another station.

I have ate from China Express on several occasions, since the price is affordable. But, the rice, and meat behind the counter are really dry. And the customer service is horrible. One employee is rude, and seems realy angry(I’m not sure if she has a mental disorder). If you want better food, I recommend making a special order on their menu– rather than going with their Specials(which are behind the counter in the metal trays). Special orders taste less dry than the already made food.

You aren’t going to find the worlds best anything here but for $ 4.28 for lunch, come on, you can’t expect that. The $ 4.28 gets you a large mixed chicken fried rice or chicken lo mein with 1 item, orange chicken, beef broccoli, chicken chop suey or generals chicken. It’s quite enough food even if you are really hungry. If you time it right and get something just as it comes out of the kitchen it is blistering, burn you through you paper box hot. Great for a quick cheap lunch.

I was so looking forward to eating here. It’s right on the way home and it’s always full of people. It had to be good w/people waiting to get in, right? Wrong! I ordered a 2 item combo consisting of half fried rice/half chow mein, orange chicken and beef and broccoli to go. Couldn’t be more standard than that. They piled up the container and it cost me around $ 6. They gave me a hand full of soy sauce packets. When i got home, i realized why. The rice was BLAND… the chow mein, dripping in oil, yet the noodles themselves were dry. The orange chicken had to have been left over from lunch… so stringy and dry. The broccoli was hard as a rock, and the beef was as tough as shoe leather. Both lacked any decent flavor. Horrid, horrid food. Maybe i caught them on an off night, but i’ll never throw my money away there again.
