We have been coming to this restaurant for 27 years. And we have never been disappointed in the service, in the food and the friendship there. Every time we are in town we have to stop and eat at our favorite restaurant in Canyon Country. When we were there this month we brought our whole family and had a wonderful time enjoying the food. We also took a picture of everybody with Ruby.

By far the best Chinese Food restaurant around. What I like best about China Wok is the food is not overly salty. With other Chinese places I wake up in the middle of the night dying of thirst. Not China Wok. I have never had a disappointing meal here. The Chinese lady that serves you is the owner, and her husband cooks in the kitchen. Their specialty is orange chicken. I order mine with white meat and not the fried breaded chicken.

I came here for lunch with my parents and sadly wasn’t impressed. They start you off with complimentary fried won tons and tea. We then ordered their Chicken in Soothing Lettuce Wraps, which was by far my favorite part of the meal. For the remainder of the meal we each ordered one of their lunch items. All of their lunches came with soup, rice, egg roll and salad. And although plentiful, my Mongolian Beef lunch severely lacked in flavor. With neither the beef nor the vegetables satisfying. In fact I left most of it on my plate. My parents thought their meals of Low Mein and Orange Chicken were just ok. None of us are in a hurry to go back.

I went here a few months ago and wish I wouldn’t have. The service was SOOO slow and customer service sucked. Took forever to get refills and to get our food. On top of that it was very plain. The only good thing were the dumplings so that’s why I’m giving it two stars. Never going back.

The Egg Flower soup is to die for. All their dishes are made fresh to order. The to go orders are fast, by phone quick and easy. I’ve even ordered while in the car on the way home.

This little gem is hidden in Canyon Country. I have eaten there over 20 times. «Consistent» is the best way to describe China Wok. Each and every time, their food is fresh, hot and delicious. I’ve never been let down. Take out is quick and easy too.

I absolutely love love love this place. Family owned and operated. There is only one amazingly awesome waitress here, and I believe she is the owner. My family and I have been coming here for years & everything is amazing and great for sharing!!! I get their all veggie, no meat sizzling rice soup. It is one of my most favorite soups EVER. Be careful though… This soup needs a good 10 mins to cool down for your tongue’s sake. Our party usually gets the Mongolian beef, honey shrimp, chicken lo mein, green beans, and broccoli, along with the soup. You won’t be disappointed here with anything you choose! Enjoy!

I have always received great service and amazing food here. I have been going here for about five years and quality has never changed. Inside the restaurant is adorable with Chinese style paintings adorning the walls. It is very clean and a nice place to eat in. You can order take out too! I always get the wor wonton soup and chicken lo mein but Kung pao and cashew is so good too! You have to check this place out!

My wife and I felt like eating Chinese food this evening and being as it’s Friday we decided to go out to a restaurant to get it. I have visited China Wok a few times over the years but not recently, so we agreed to go there. At first it seemed mostly empty for a Friday night at 7 pm, with less than 25% of capacity being when we arrived. However it picked up somewhat as the evening wore on. The atmosphere is casual and the noise level pretty quiet, something we both appreciated. I ordered the Kung Pao Three Flavors and my wife ordered the Orange Chicken. Both were very flavorful, and very delicious. The orange chicken actually tasted orangey! All the food was also very fresh and well prepared. The service was average in timeliness. Could have been better, especially when we first sat down at the table. The server was gracious and accommodating and got us everything we asked for. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience. I would recommend China Wok to anyone looking for a good Chinese dinner in town. — Cheers

I wanted some good Chinese food. Turned to Unilocal and found this place. Mission accomplished. Good service and very tasty food, made fresh. If you don’t want fast food, cheap junky Chinese, give this place try. I’ll definitely be back with friends.

This is great Chinese food! We love this place, my kids love the food, the atmosphere is great and the employees are wonderful. The owners are always there and available and for some reason always seen to remember my kids and family. When u go to a restaurant this is the way I want to be treated.

I like Chinese food, and I’m not talking about Panda Express. I came in during their lunch specials and ordered the Mongolian beef. It can with it soup, egg roll, wonton, salad, rice(steamed or fried), crispy wonton, fruit and hot tea. I love it when they serve you hot tea without asking. It all looked great, but then came the first bite. :/Disappointment fell over my face. There was no life or robust flavor. The beef felt lifeless, the sauce barely flavorful. The green scallions minimal and the shoots plentiful. The rest of the meal was great, but I’ve had better and for less money. Think I’m gonna have to try another Chinese food place.

Love this place– great run-to for delicious Chinese food. We go there 2 – 3 times a month and appreciate the quick service from Ruby. Our favorites are the Three Flavor Kung Pao which is packed with delicious peanuts amidst the flavorful meats and mushrooms. The Shrimp with Cashews has a light creamy sauce and is full of cashews and crispy diced veggies. We usually get the Three flavor sizzling rice soup which features plenty of crackling sizzling rice poured into the soup, giving it a pleasing nutty taste. If you want awesome Chinese food in the SCV, this is the place!

Ever since my family and I moved to SCV from VA almost 1.5 years ago, we’ve been on a quest. That quest is to find and fall in love with a Chinese restaurant that can replace our favorites we’ve enjoyed for years. I am happy to say that, after visiting China Wok for the first time last night, our quest has finally come to an end. Bottom line up front: Incredible value, absolutely delicious food, and friendly service. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, kung pao chicken(my baseline comparison dish), wonton soup, hot and sour soup, fried shrimp, egg roll, fried wonton, and paper-wrapped chicken. Everything I listed was at or above our hopes and expectations. The most surprising hit was the paper-wrapped chicken. We’d never heard of it, but it was absolutely delicious! We have found our new regular Chinese restaurant. Our quest has come to a satisfying end.

China Wok has come to be my favorite Chinese Food restaurant in the SCV. The food elsewhere just doesn’t compare. We love the Sweet and Sour Shrimp. And their Vegetable Sizzling Rice Soup is amazing — it’s the perfect comfort food on a cold day or when you are under the weather. Just recently, I was craving their soup when I had a bad summer cold. We went there to grab some dinner(and soup of course) but it was later than we realized and they were just closing :-(But… They stayed open an extra ten minutes and made me fresh soup to order so I could take it home!!! That kind of gracious hospitality and service is rare these days. I can’t say enough good things about China Wok!!!

Affordable little Chinese joint. Sit down restaurant or do take out. I rarely come here but when I do I always get there vegetable lo mein. I have tried there fried shrimp in the appetizers and they were really good, batter was light and airy and the shrimp were jumbo. The sweet and sour sauce, ties it all together. The fried rice isn’t that great, it has little to no egg, no veggies and too much soy sauce mixed into it, also is a bit dry.

My favorite Chinese place!!! Very nice menu & lots of choices for a good price. Love the food here!!! Egg rolls and cheese fried won tons are yummy! Love the hot and sour soup & the chicken sizzling rice soup! So much flavor! Shrimp in lobster sauce is delicious along with the lo mein noodles. Ruby is the best! :))

5 stars for customer service. We were not happy with the food and the owners immediately offered a full refund. Look like hard working folks. Thanks for the great service. Maybe just an off day on my prior review.
