We tried Melt for a Father’s Day luncheon. It was our first time there. Once we entered we could immediately tell that it was a high end place. We were seated on the first floor(there are 3 floors of dinning). Everything about the service is high class. We ordered Bruschetta for an appetizer and it was amazing. After we finished the appetizer, they cleared the plates and silverware and replaced it with new larger silverware before the meal came. Once the meal came everyone was delighted with their choice. Parmigiana cheese was grated freshly over our dishes. Service was perfect and food was extremely delicious. Additional bonus is its location, you can eat then shop, a perfect combination! FIVE stars all the way!

The food was great and we loved the ambiance. But what really made this a 5-star experience was the service. Our reservation count was off by a critical number(we put 4 instead of 5). It was our fault, but the host did a fantastic job adjusting and made us feel completely okay about the situation. He made us feel like VIPs, which was impressive since we made a head count mistake with the online reservation. We got a great table, looking towards the wine wall. Our server was funny and helpful, but at the same time polite and not over bearing. This was a special occasion and he even took pictures for us. We all ordered glasses of wine and pasta dishes. Everything was superb. I highly recommend Melt.

Probably my favorite place around to eat! Love the steak paired with the chips with Gorgonzola crumbles. One of the few places I order my steak medium-rare and it comes out correctly. Thank you! Good beer selection and great martinis. Staff is always friendly and service is great. Well deserving of 5 stars!

We go here a lot when visiting my son at DeSales University. The ambiance is welcoming and relaxing, the food quality is excellent and there is a great wine selection as well as craft cocktails. The wait staff is consistently helpful and extremely accommodating and makes the experience that much nicer. We were here most recently to help my son celebrate his 21st birthday with a few of his close friends. Everyone enjoyed their appetizer and main course selections and my son marked this milestone with a good merlot and complimentary champagne(a very nice touch). A birthday cheesecake and cappuccinos rounded out our meals. I always look forward to a return visit!

Good food, friendly service and beautiful, trendy décor. Entrees are pricey as meals are À la carte and menu items are priced and ordered separately… but portions are large so you will have some to take home. I’ve been here twice and would recommend Melt for a special occasion. Be sure to make reservations though!

At first I thought Melt was going to be a super high end luxury dinner. Little to my knowledge that it was an Italian restaurant. The scenic background seems like it should be a premier steakhouse. Not an Italian restaurant. They play indie music and not Italian music which is a let down, cause who doesn’t like Italian music. The Caesar salad really wasn’t that great and my pasta was very bland. I got the capellini e gamberetti. For a smacking $ 21, it did not exceed my expectations. Also the workers should be a little more knowledgeable and less awkward to work here.

Based strictly on the star rating I was apprehensive but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Appetizer was tuna tartare which was very good! I started with a Caesar salad which was large but lacked anchovies(there may have been 1 on it), main course was the fish special over baby artichoke hearts with a garlic herb sauce which was fantastic! Also ordered at the table was the half rotisserie chicken and the ribeye, I tried both and both were delicious!

Great place! Came for a light lunch in between LAX camp and ended up back here for dinner, delicious! For lunch Had the carpaccio and a antipasto with great selection of meat and cheese to choose from, it was perfect! The staff was super nice, professional and so helpful, when asking where restrooms were, the actually walked u there and was asking how everything was tonight

Not bad but not great either. Service is borderline overattentive. I’ve just never really been impressed by the food. Reading the menu everything sounds really nice but it’s never executed well. Me and my husband finally gave up because of the inconsistency

Hmmm. This is a tough one. The staff was nice and very watchful(hovering) but not in a really bad way. Just enough to be noticeable. I ordered the three course meal. To start, I had the calamari with lemon pepper aioli. It was good but could have used an extra second or two in the fryer. Next, I had the ribeye with polenta and zucchini ragu. The zucchini was good, the polenta was so-so, but the star of the meal(or what should have been the star) was meh!!! My steak was overcooked and flavorless. If you’re not going to carry steak sauce, you need to have a great steak and this was not it. Lastly, I had the lemon ricotta tort. This was the highlight of the night. Nothing to write home above, still very good.

I have been to Melt several times and have been thrilled each time. Most recently I visited during restaurant week, which I highly recommend doing. You receive an amazing deal — 3 courses for $ 30. I had the calamari as an appetizer, steak as my meal, and chocolate mousse for dessert. All were incredible. I recommend making a reservation for Melt, no matter when you go. It can get crowded but is definitely worth going to. The service has always been quick, friendly, and helpful. Since it’s located in the Promenade shops, there is a parking lot right outside, but it definitely gets packed in the evenings and especially on the weekends. Melt is a great place to go with a group of friends or for a date night. I highly recommend it for special occasions, or for when you just need a night off from cooking!

Very very good. The valley is now chock full of very good to great dining. So much so it is almost overwhelming. there is more fine dining within 10 square miles between the two cities of Bethlehem and Allentown than most of center city Philadelphia. Melt is an absolute must try part of that. Located in the tony Promenade shoppes of south mountain, Melt grabs you from a mile away with its stand alone architecture. The promenade has lost some of it’s appeal lately due to the revitalization of both cities nearby, but if and when you do go there, go to Melt. the veal Ragu… oh man I can still taste it. An absolute 5 star entrée worth the visit for that alone. Imagine all the savory flavors, top cut and just perfectl sauce. The olive platter. top notch and fresh! the Bread, fresh and hot and tasty. The wine, excellent, the beer. good enough. The Scotch… McCallans24. Need I say more? this is a beautiful spot, and often less than busy during the week. On the weekends it is still one of the places to be, especially for large groups looking to impress with a modern touch. Great for a business dinner, or date night. And you can take in a movie or go to LL Bean.

It’s really too bad that Unilocal has no four or five star restaurants at the promenade shops. Any time I’ve gone to one of the restaurants here I’ve had nothing but good experiences and Melt sets the highest bar in my opinion. High-end ambience, high-end staff, high-end food… every time. It’s totally worth the price you pay. I loved their Muscato. Loved their misto salad. The tenderloin skewers were bursting with flavor. But that pretty much goes for everything they serve. A sure fire romantic experience awaits.

My boyfriend and I went on date here two weekends ago. We had a reservation and when we got there we didn’t wait and we were seated right away. The host was very nice and he had a small chat with us which was very nice! We started with wine and no appetizers. I got the roasted lamb for dinner and it was absolutely delicious! Probably one of the best dinners I had in a while! The waiter took a bit long to bring out the check but that was the only small negative thing that night. Overall I had an amazing experience.

Had a great experience here on our first anniversary dinner! The staff was great, excellent and prompt service and I’ll definitely be coming back. The complimentary cheesecake was out of the world and very well presented. Overall, a great place to have a complete dining experience.

I like Melt a lot! I know it’s a favorite of my parents — it’s a really nice dining option in the Lehigh Valley and very popular. FOOD The food is never bad when I come here. The daily specials are unique and inventive and much needed to separate this restaurant from other places in the area. I’ll start with the bread; it’s always delicious and freshly made throughout the day. My favorite is the olive bread; served with olive oil for dipping, it’s a great way to start the meal. Today we decided to order mainly from the specials. My mom and I had The Wild Tasmanian Sea Trout(similar to an Arctic Char) and it was delicious. It was served over a heirloom tomato salad, which was seasoned with a white balsamic dressing; it was very delicious. My sister had the penne pasta with shrimp, kale, tomatoes, and parmesan special, which was also delicious. My other sister went with a menu staple, the fusilli with basil pesto, parmesan, asapargus, chicken and potatoes. It was good, but the potatoes made the dish a little too starchy. My dad, also choosing a menu staple, got the chicken parmesan and it was a delicious, very healthy serving that was very authentic. EXPERIENCE I think the big reason this place is so popular is because 1) it’s a nice restaurant that’s great for special occasions 2) they have great outdoor seating during the summer and 3) LEVEL3. Level 3 is the rooftop bar that’s open when it’s warm and it’s a great space. They have an indoor bar that can be utilized throughout the year and then during the summer the doors open up into the outdoor space, which has cabana-type seating and a DJ on some weekends. Beyond Level 3, the waitstaff and bartenders are always friendly, courteous, and attentive and the management is very mindful of walking the dining floor to check on the patrons. If you’re looking for a special occasion restaurant, I would definitely recommend this place!

This restaurant is located in the Shops of Center Valley(Lehigh Valley). The restaurant’s interior has a trendy décor with lighting that is easy on the eyes. It is very inviting. The service was fast and courteous. The wine list was extensive. Our server was attentive and caring. I had the Seafood Soup of the day and it was love at first bite. It was delicious. I was able to taste the spices and the different selection of fish bites within the soup. Loved the combination. A great appetizer. For the main course, I had the Roasted Rack of Lamb which was presented really well in an appetizing manner. It took me no time to devour the dish with my cabernet. The meat was soft and delicious to the taste. I literally ate it to the bone. For Dessert I had the Tiramisu. It was delicious. Soft in the mouth however filled with great tastes. Overall a great experience at the Melt.

I’m giving this place a 5 star, even though I had to send my entrée back tonight(it’s a minor issue, even not their fault, so I don’t even want to mention). However it was first time we had any complaints about the food, all other times everything was perfect. The waitress and the manager both were very professional and understanding. They took my dish off the bill and offered the replacement. Service is great. Interior is beautiful. Food is delicious. Again great service!!! Manager should get a bonus :)

I went here on two occasions. Once for a friend’s birthday and another for my one year anniversary with my husband. I was very pleased, especially when I went for our anniversary. The mood and atmosphere are just right. Very dim lighting makes you forget it’s broad daylight outside. Also, the staff is very well trained. This is the kind of place that gives you an excuse to put on your fancy heels ladies. After eating here, my expectations for Italian cuisine have skyrocketed. The food is really amazing. The first time I went I ate spaghetti and meatballs. They sure know how to make a ball full of meat… they were HUGE! When I went for our anniversary they had a really good deal that included an appetizer, two entrees, and two separate desserts. I wish I could remember the price. On top of that, my husband had made reservations and mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary so they gave us complimentary cheesecake and champagne! That cheesecake was phenomenal! My all-time favorite is the calamari and the sauce that goes along with it. I’m drooling just writing about it. Order the calamari. I repeat. Order the calamari! Both times eating here I went home with a good amount of leftovers, which they package nicely for you. Melt is definitely pricey, but 100% worth every penny. Personally, I would only go for special occasions.
