I was super excited when Verde came to West Ashley last year. The area needs more healthy options and good places for lunch, and as a salad restaurant, Verde definitely fits the healthy bill. When you walk in, the menu can be a bit overwhelming. There’s tons of great options, including building your own salad or choosing a pre-made one from the menu. I’ve always chosen one from the menu because I trust the staff to put together a better salad than I could on my own. You can also get a wrap, but I’ve never tried that. I always get my salads chopped as well. The curried beet is my favorite salad, followed closely by the warm grain bowls(I think it’s called the«Grainiac». Farmer’s Market is good but very green(literally– green’s the only color in the salad!). They have seasonal offerings as well as a salad of the month, so if it sounds good, you might want to try it since it might not be on the menu when you return. The salads are some of the better restaurant salads I’ve had, but I have to deduct points for the prices for what you get. Verde isn’t cheap and a salad here will run you $ 10+. The ingredients are fresh and I feel like the quality is there, but the last few times I’ve went, the salads were smaller and the bowl was maybe ¾ full. The first few times I came here, and when I ate at the other locations, I couldn’t eat it all, but that hasn’t been the case lately. Parking is also tough unless you go early in the day.

Came here while I was getting my tires changed at Gerald’s. Great Cesar salad. Fast and courteous service. Little pricey. Will come back!

This needs to be your go-to spot for a quick bite to eat! Get the Graniac or curried beet salad.

Wasn’t sure how good a salad could be but let me tell you! Best salad I have ever had! So fresh with a variety to choose from. I would so recommend trying this place, the wraps look so good too and the fountain drinks are like nothing I’ve had before. All around great place. I’ll be back!

I really enjoyed Verde The first time you visit can be a little bit confusing. Eating at Verde’s pretty similar to eating at chipotle or Subway. They have all the ingredients laid out in front of you and you make your choices. To begin you select either salad or wrap and then you choose your lettuce and other ingredients. After all your ingredients of selected they chop up the salad and you can either put in a bowl or a whole wheat wrap. In addition, they also have their own soda, tea and other drinks. I would like to of seen this a little bit less price point because 9⁄10 for salad is up there. The Decour and seating is great they even have a bar style seat. Overall the food at their day was great and my experience was awesome.

My wife and I are regulars at all of the Verde locations and for good reason. Their salads aren’t just good they’re great. The owner always greets with a smile and a good pun when she’s there. This is their newest location and we’ve only been here twice but it’s up to speed with the other one’s. We may start frequenting this location versus the Mt. P one. Lettuce give thanks for places like this! I still have my fingers and toes crossed that they’ll open up a Summerville or North Charleston location.

Wasn’t sure about coming here at first because I’m not a huge salad fan but I can say I absolutely loved it. The interior is super clean and organized. The staff is very friendly, fast and helpful– they let me taste a salad dressing before committing too! The food was delicious and I had a great lunch here. Will definitely visit again.

I am all about some Verde salads! When I learned they had an Avondale location, I was so happy. Delicious, fresh and great staff! Topping options were plentiful and so many yummy drinks. Their staff was great. They cleared our table for us when we were done and checked on us. The reason I took away a star: cramped and they didn’t have some of the salads/toppings I wanted after browsing the website. And parking, like anywhere in Avondale, is a nightmare. They have 15m spots out front, but to sit down and eat you spend longer driving around looking for spots than you spend inside eating. I would def recommend Verde to salad(and non-salad) lovers!
