I could write a lengthy review but I won’t. This is the pizza for which I judge all others against. Pizza is so subjective, everyone likes a differently style and has their go to place. To me, this is what I consider to be «perfect» pizza. I am not a huge pizza sauce lover but I could drink this stuff. It has the right amounts of everything which you would think would be simple to get right but it’s not… The dough has a unique flavor to it(maybe seasoned pizza pans?) and is delicious… cheese? Perfect. They don’t skimp here. BBQ wings are the perfect pairing. I find their sauce to be slightly different than most other BBQ wings. They remind me of Duff’s BBQ wings… when you order them extra crispy they have no trouble getting that right either. If I had to have one negative I would say the thickness of the dough is a little inconsistent. Sometimes it’s perfect and other times it’s so thin it’s hard to pick up. No worries, I have plenty of forks and knives!

The(using this word loosely) gentleman wearing a black shirt with an electrical supply house logo was rude, never said thank you or welcome, took my money then walked away. Waited an additional 10 minutes for my food which was already done sitting on top of the oven. To make matters worse when he gave me my food FINALLY. I said thank you and he looked at me with this blank creepy stare and just turned around and walked away without saying your welcome YOU just lost my business because of him. You need to work on your customer service and manners. Sorry for burdening you with an order. SAD cause in the afternoon a different gentleman helped me out, who I think was the owner because he joked, and made small talk and thanked me for my business. However the above guy in the evening around 7 pm was rude, and made me feel like I was a bother to him. WILLNEVEREAT there AGAIN.

Probably some of the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Gave it 3 chances and each time have been disappointed. Dough is tasteless, have had better frozen pizza dough. Sauce is bland, grocery store pizza is better. I gave it a 1 because at least the folks are friendly…

I tried it based on some reviews I read. Personally, the pizza was too saucy & doughy. Very expensive too. The guy who took my order was very polite & the shop looked very clean. Just not the kind of pizza I prefer.

Good pizza. Number 4 currently in my best tasting pizza in WNY. It’s not a thick deep dish pie and its not a thin style pizza either but the perfect Buffalo style. Double dough is offered here and is a must! YUM! If I had one complaint it’s that I wish it was loaded with a bigger«portion» of ingredients. They are tasty but I’m left wanting more! The sauce is great! I absolutely love it! Best around! 1) Imperial pizza(Buffalo) 2) Leonardis(Amherst) 3) Bella(Hamburg) 4) Bobs Poplar(Cheektowaga) 5) Zips Wise Guys(North Buffalo)

Hairy Pizza? No thanks. Ordered in because it was snowy outside and we didn’t feel like cooking. Took an hour to get pizza and wings — bit into a slice and found a dark curly piece of hair baked into the dough. Had to stop eating everything that came because I couldn’t fathom what else might actually be in our food at that point.

I ordered this for delivery last night. Service The guy on the the phone was nice, delivery guy was nice, and the pizza got here in less than 45mins. Food I ordered a large with sausage and pepperoni. I tried, but I’m not a fan on Buffalo Style pizza. It was good, but not in my Top 10 Places(across all styles of pizza). The crust was right between a pan pizza and a thicker hand tossed-that part I liked. The sauce was there, but nothing stood out to me about it. Cheese was good, pepperoni was fine, sausage was good. Essentially, it was a fine pizza. The only thing that stood out as being specifically Buffalo about it was the pepperoni. The pizza was nowhere near bad, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get this style again. My disclaimer is that I’m from Chicago. I love deep dish & stuft pizza, but I can also dig into über-thin/crunchy crusts.

By «Poplar» they mean«Popular»… the person who named the place had a slight speech impediment, and that is fine. I think someone mis-spelled«popular» when naming this place, because if this place isn’t popular, it really should be. Mmm-hmm. The first time I went there, it was a really fantastic slice of Pizza… but this most recent time I went there it was absolutely appalling… I mean it was 2 or 3 star worthy at best… it was lukewarm and tasted like it had been sitting out all day and was a frozen pizza. I’ve reduced them to a 4, but I’ll need to try it one more time to see if it’s going to sink to a 3 or lower. My original review said: it doesn’t get much better than this. It was the 3rd in my 5-slice tour of Depew-Cheektowaga, and was tied with Tony’s as my favourite. Absolutely delicious — full marks! It was piping hot and fresh out of the oven(she knows how I like it!) so that helped, but the taste and texture and the dough and everything were perfect — quintessential Buffalo Pizza at its best. It’s right around the lower reaches of the top 10 slices in Buffalo, which is really saying something given that there are probably a hundred good slices in the area! What is it with Pizza in Buffalo? It is simply the best I’ve ever tasted and there are probably 200 good options. I recommend these(my personal faves), which are Bozanna’s(Clarence), Avenue(Broadway & Bailey, East Buffalo), Blasdell(southtowns), Imperial(South Buffalo), Zip’s(North Buffalo), Francos(Eggert location in Amherst), and Yogi’s(Akron). The last one is more Brick-Oven style than typical Buffalo style. All 8 slices are pure heaven and must not be missed under any circumstances. I can’t say it enough — if you’re just trying a slice, make sure the Pizza is either straight out of the oven piping hot, or reheated in the oven. Chicago Pizza is amazing, and NYC Pizza is special, but Buffalo, for me, beats them both. Please don’t talk to me about STL Pizza or Cali Pizza(ew). Buffalo Pizza is fluffier, doughier, cheesier, saucier, and pepperonier than anything you’ve ever had. If Chicago is a crusty pie and NYC is a huge flat slice, then Buffalo is quintessential Pizza. It’s just so good. They also do excellent Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Steak Pizzas here in Buffalo. Dreamy. I will stand under oath and swear that Buffalo Pizza is the best in the land. Please don’t ever order Pizza from Domino’s, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut et al. Those major corporations don’t need a penny of your money, and they are bland cookie cutter chains that spend all their money on advertising. Please frequent your locally owned Pizza shops. They need it more, they’re real local people, and the food is almost always wildly superior, anyway.
