I love everything from Pret. But food costs a lot. However there is 1 bakery item that I would buy even it is expensive, that is the Almond Croissant. A few years ago it was $ 1.79, then it went to $ 1.99, now its at $ 2.79, so after taxes is is $ 3.08, but its worth every cent. Their organic coffees are very good, comparable to Starbucks or any high-end coffee shops. Sandwiches/soups/salads are meh. Sandwiches are small, and won’t fill you up.

I am currently enjoying my white bean and fennel soup. But why such a small portion? A small soup costs almost $ 5, but it’s only 2⁄3 full. Pret always shortchanges on the soup portions. I stayed away for a year because of it, and only went in today because it’s right next door. My boycott is reinstated as of today!

Please portion your soups out better or something. I just paid $ 7 for creamy«chicken» and vegetable soup. You may as well rename it potatoes, a few pieces of carrot and two shreds of chicken in watery cream soup. Seriously — I kept thinking all the chicken fell to the bottom since all I was scooping out(besides cream water) were potatoes. I’m quite disgusted with myself for shelling out so much cash for the poorest excuse for soup. So much for grabbing a soup with plenty of protein. I’m sure to be hungry an hour later. There are FAR better places in the loop to buy an overpriced«all natural» lunch and still feel satisfied. Sure, Pret uses natural ingredients, etc., so I understand the price tag. But your portion sizes are ridiculous for the price. Well, lesson learned — again. I don’t even know why I’m writing this review. I’m the idiot who chose to pay Pret for overpriced, mediocre food. I think I’ll stick to Hannah’s Bretzel. Sure, it’s expensive, but I at least get a complete lunch that’ll keep me full until closer to dinnertime. Three stars because your staff is always very nice and helpful. Sorry for the cranky review. I’m writing this after gulping down my «lunch.» I guess I’m just hangry.

This is probably my go to sandwich place in the loop. It’s a treat because it can be a bit pricey but I love the premise of Pret. They have a ton of healthy options that are just delicious. I always think I know what I want but I usually spend about 5 or 6 minutes just staring at the options that are here. This time I went for a low calorie avocado flatbread that I loved. It had corn salsa and a lime sauce that was to die for. The food is consistently made fresh throughout the day and if you’re a snacked you can grab a muffin, small brownie or health bar, along with some fruit and yogurt pots and juices. If you haven’t checked this place out then you should give it a go!

I love Pret. Love their sandwiches, salads, even their chips. I’m not even one of those organice, veggie nuts but I love their egg protein salad and their chicken/avocado protein salad. They are amazing! Just the right mix. A bit pricey but food is great. The staff is great, very friendly and smiley — especially here at Adams. Thanks!!!

I. Love. Pret. I had a «toastie»(lol) from Pret a Manger in York, England, UK about a year-and-a-half ago and immediately fell in love with the franchise. Fast forward a year, I’m in New York City and see Pret all over the place. I’m in Pret heaven, baby! I made my way to Chicago a few weeks ago and lo and behold, Pret a Manger has taken over downtown. I had breakfast from Pret everyday that week — always an iced coffee, sparkling water, and oatmeal with the mixed nut topping — and would come by for snacks daily as well. There are a myriad of healthy, low calorie options at Pret a Manger. My favorites were the Lebanese chicken wrap, Mediterranean veggie wrap, and all the salads. If you aren’t looking for healthy(still not that unhealthy though somehow), get the hot meatball wrap or hot buffalo chicken wrap. Amazing. All of it. God bless you, Pret a Manger. Wouldn’t be surprised if Jesus was actually born in Pret’s manger. It really is that good.

Quick service and delicious food! I walked in, found a sandwich that sounded good, grabbed a fruit cup, and walked right up to a cashier. It was 11:45AM on a weekday, so I figured it would have been much busier with at least a few people backed up in line. I didn’t experience that at all. I think the place gets people in and out quickly, so lines don’t stick around much. I had the California Club sandwich and a cup of assorted melons. The bread on the sandwich was soft and consistent. All of the ingredients in the sandwich were fresh and tasty. The sandwich was excellent all around. The fruit cup was also good! Musk and watermelon with cantaloupe all ripe and fresh. I also got a cup of green tea, which was awesome, too.

I think this being next to Protein bar is an interesting coincidence. Pret won my business today, because walking by protein bar gave me a big olé NOPE when I saw a line out the door. I get it, protein bar is amazing, but umm… not worth a line for half my lunch. Meanwhile, Pret is the epitome of a healthy fast food option. Literally fast food. In this case, a veggie wrap wrapped in Nori, which I adore. This is a really small place with quick, healthy options. I dig it. I don’t think the one in Evanston even holds a candle to this location, which is very bustling and busy at lunch(but fast at service and checkout as well). This is worth a shot no matter what cuisines you prefer.

I was wandering around by my office looking for somewhere new to have lunch when I came across Pret. I’d never heard anything about it so I decided to step inside and check out the menu. I’m constantly on the lookout for healthy yet delicious food you can grab on the run so I felt like I was in heaven when I started reading the ingredients of Pret’s salads, sandwiches, and wraps. I immediately wanted to try everything but decided on the Falafel salad with the tahini yogurt dressing and their green cold pressed juice. It was a bit pricey but in my opinion it was worth every penny. Since that day I have become a regular at this location of Pret. I am never disappointed with any of the food, it’s all delicious but that’s not what gets them 5 stars. Pret gets 5 stars from me because their service is always impeccable. Their staff is AMAZING. I have been to many restaurants and it’s very rare, especially for fast food to always be greeted by the smiling faces of people who are not just willing to help but happy to help. Management of Adams street Pret, you guys have done a really great job when it comes to hiring!!! Another thing I really love about Pret is that everything is made fresh and leftovers aren’t thrown away, they’re donated to local charity! What an amazing company.

Must try if you are in Chicago. I wish we have Pret down south because it would easily be my daily stop.

My absolute go-to fast food place. I can name no other restaurant that I have more pleasure in going to serially. Everything is yummy and so convenient. I’ve never had issues with crowding, but probably because I’ve mostly gone after classes. I think I’ve spent a good fortune here trying all of their sandwiches and weird drinks.

Here’s a novel idea. When you have a menu that’s half vegetarian and half not, LABELYOURDAMNSANDWICHES. Don’t place unlabelled sandwiches on top of a sign announcing what they are. If the sandwiches actually had labels, maybe then your idiot staff members wouldn’t reverse identical-looking chicken wraps and sweet potato wraps, causing your vegetarian customers to eat meat for the first time in 25 years. Excuse me while I go vomit. Literally.

This Pret gets five stars for not only the convenience but for it has to offer! The staff is always eager to greet you and help out with making a decision. The food selection is fantastic, and you can expect pretty much everything to be delicious. They provide endless vegetarian options, and I like the fact all the nutritional information is on display. I’ll be back for my roasted tomato and arugula sandwich. Cheers!

This chain is one I am familar with from my travels in the UK. its a cool place, not sure its quite caught on, but I think its a solid place. Nothing fancy about it. They have warm and cold sandwiches. soups, salads, it’s certainly a good option versus McDonalds or Jimmy Johns. Go here and try it.

The restaurant is set up nicely, the staff are friendly. The coffee tasted old, luckily it had been free with a card my friend gave me. I got the egg salad sandwich which didn’t have much on it. It left me hungry and cost me 4.49. Other sandwiches were 6, 7, 8 almost 9 for barely having anything on them.

Fresh, quick, convenient and gourmet lunch! Bonus 1: They donate the extra food to the needy at the end of each day. Bonus 2: Their packaging is 100% recyclable

I eat here for lunch all the time, and frequently wonder why I’m paying close to $ 14 for a sandwich, small soup, and a diet coke for lunch. The reason for this foolery is the convenience and ergonomics of dining here. The nutrition value is printed on each sandwich, the ingredients are fresh, getting to-go is easy and encouraged, and it’s very fast service. My favorite toasted sandwich(«toastie») is the ham and cheddar. But again, I’m constantly wondering why it’s so expensive…

Prêt A Manger scores big in my book by donating daily leftovers to the hungry in the communities it serves. The«made today, gone today» principle is one of the more altruistic actions for any food company; and to follow through with that promise daily is absolutely amazing. Pret is sort of a self-serve style restaurant. You approach the large heated or chilled cases and select a variety of pre-made items such as salads, sandwiches and soups. During the lunch hours it isn’t uncommon to find a large group of folks standing around the products. Pret does have vegetarian and vegan options however, you need to look carefully at the small signage and understand the differences in colors. As a vegan it was very easy to accidentally to grab something vegetarian. It seems to me the options don’t change so if you are good with limited variety(for vegan) of Moroccan lentil soup and a basic vegetable sandwich then this is the place for you.

It was relatively slow, as in after the breakfast rush but before the lunch crowd, and I was expecting speedy grab and go. Instead, I grabbed, waited my turn in a small line of one, paid, then waited to get my toastie… well toasted, and finally I got to go. Pardon my impatience but everything took 60 seconds too long. It wasn’t nearly as quick as I was hoping for. I liked the healthier options(complete with nutritional facts) and I enjoyed my little mozzarella pesto toastie… but I wasn’t hooked. Perhaps it was a combo of the food value/portions and higher prices that left me thinking it was just another overhyped deli/sandwich lunch spot.

The lobby was clean; the service was fast; the sandwich was tasty, and I got all smiley services. I like this place. I am not a fan of pre-made sandwiches so I picked a package of Mozzarella & Pesto marked as «Toast me» instead of cold ones. Adding a nice skinny Mocha, my lunch is under $ 10. I really enjoyed the bread and nice cheese. I think a bit more Basil would perfect. The quantity was just right for a healthy lunch. Skinny mocha was perfect for this cold day. It was crowded when we were there. The 5 cashiers behind counter made people move very fast. Everyone of them seemed happy with their job which made my happy too.
