Subway

This subway is WAY better than the one on Concord Blvd, food tastes fresher, and you don’t have to face bratty teenagers from the surrounding schools. They were training and hiring new employees the day I went, the only thing I have to say is that the store owners seem to get in the way of the employees. They try to «help» ring up customers and what not but are incredibly slow and not personable. Ramon was nice, although he didn’t make my sandwich he did make a recommendation and I ended up loving it! Overall, some of the new employees need to learn how to smile, say hello, and look like they’re happy to have a job. But other than that this is my go to location for subway in my area, don’t make the mistake and go to the other on Concord Blvd!!!

I just find this kind of hilarious– we ordered a 6″ sub and it was prob 6 ¼ when she was done cutting but she noticed it was just a teeeeny bit to long, so she cut off that extra ¼ to throw it away… I mean really, lets just waste it instead of maybe just giving the customer a little extra. Not like it matters if I eat an extra ¼ of sandwich, just the stupidity of the matter… unnecessarily wasteful.

Not the best subway store I’ve been in. Well they have everything like in other Subway stores. Fresh veggie, cheeses, meat, same breads etc. The tables wasn’t clean and either the floor (I guess because it was lunch time and the place was busy) However the food and service area was clean, staff used gloves when preparing the food.
The store need some upgrade and some more life and smiling/​friendly staff.
I ordered my casual veggie sandwich in wheat toasted bread, add some fresh avocado, Jack cheese and add all the veggie except onion and green pepper. I enjoyed eating my lunch sandwich. It was crunchy and melted cheese.

Strange things are afoot at this Subway on Clayton.
Seriously, I have never had a more bizarre experience anywhere like I did tonight. Everyone, from the customers to the employees, were all just very… off.
Let’s start with Maria, our sandwich artist for the evening. About as much personality as a door, she seemed to be confused by everything. Someone asked her what kind of cheese they had, she asked them «What?», at least three times. Someone comes in to specifically order just two medium drinks. She holds up both a medium cup and a large cup asking the guy which one. He repeats his request. «I would like a medium cup.» She then holds up a medium and a small cup, again with a confused look upon her face.
When she made my sandwich she was 1. Very slow, and 2. very skimpy on the ingredients. On my tuna sandwich I would actually like to taste… the tuna.
I’m not being picky, or being a snob, I just find it very comical that these kind of things happened. I really hope this location can get out of the Twilight Zone and come back to earth because I do love Subway in general.

Our family ate here yesterday. The lady behind the counter was extremely polite and friendly. Everything tasted great, my husband and I had Tuna Sandwiches and our kids had roast beef. Well why one star? We were violently sick, throwing up and still have stomach pains! I’m beyond disgusted! But fortunately our kids weren’t sick. We will not be back to this location and most likely any Subway location as I fear we will be forever scarred. #spoiledtuna #notnice

This particular Subway is horrible. The service is bad. The workers are rude & lazy. They make the sandwiches half assed. I asked for sourdough & they gave me italian; I couldn’t tell by the look of the bread while they were making it but when I got home & actually held it & tasted it that’s when I knew. I got my steak sandwich toasted & when I went home & started eating about half way through my sandwich the meat was cold. All I got was a 6 in! I mean come on people get it together! I’ve had other Subway’s around town that made delicious sandwiches. This location gives subway a bad name.

The people that work here are about as friendly as a tick on my ass! They look like they are miserable to be here and boy… akward. got the 5 meet ball and they jipped me 2 meatballs! Weak!

What kind of Subway doesn’t have 3 types of the breads in stock?
Also, they make sandwiches really poorly here. I have been to subways all over and every time I come here they do it in their own unique and half a$$ed way.
I am no longer returning to this location. If only 0 stars was a rating option.

Always get sandwiches from here. Always fast and great tasting. No complaints and will keep coming back. Thank you.

This place is a joke. The service is terrible. Unfortunately my options for healthier food are limited on Clayton rd. Otherwise I would never come here.

I was in the mood for a sandwich & stopped in here, eye was an annoying lady that ordered 12 sandwiches, all with different crap on each one & she made sure that each one was somehow unique. It took foreverrrrrr jut to order & when I was finally my turn, after about 15min of waiting. I ordered my sandwich & all was well. They make sandwiches really skimpy here, I don’t eat meat. So usually people load me up on the veggies out of pity or they want me to get my money’s worth in vegetables haha This place was really skimpy. Although it tasted good, the overall experience wasn’t the greatest, hopefully I’ll be able to update my review soon with a better experience.

So I came in on a quick lunch break and a mother and her 4 boys ahead of me and only 2 employees **Yikes but understandable bc I have children too**
**Patiently waiting for a good 20 minutes before I was helped but I wasn’t upset or frustrated bc the mother kept appologizing for taking so long and the workers were working as fast they could to get their orders done; hence 6 footlongs and all toasted**
When it was all said and done, I was able to grab my Italian BMT; Italian Herbs and Cheese footlong with black forest ham, pepperoni, salami, provolone cheese (toasted pls) then added lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, extra cucumbers, jalepenos and black pepper.

FYI:
— Small parking lot and a few of the front parkings have a 20 minute time limit.
— Clean establishment; gloves are used when making each sandwich and with a new customer, comes with new gloves.
— Tables/​Chairs available to dine in.
— Fresh baked goodies available; muffins, brownies and cookies.
— Don’t forget to try their soups! (Brocolli Cheese or Chicken Noodle)

Subway food is Subway food is Subway food. This is just like all the others. It is in the customer service department where they are lacking. It has always been hit and miss. My last experience the server was too busy talking to another employee to get my order straight. I had to repeat everything. Gave me lots of attitude when I let him know I was displeased. Won’t go there again.

It’s a Subway. I don’t understand the bacon situation… I’ll never pay for it again. And I don’t like their bread. But it’s decently priced and very close to my home.
I was behind a TOTAL JERK in line who treated the staff like slaves, and I was really impressed with how kind and patient they were with him. But overall… meh.

If I could give just a half star, that’s what they’d get, and only because of the fact that they sell food and I love food. other than that. well, to start the service is always hit or miss. It’s like they train some people, and and let others just do things how they want to. Some of the girls even have to be told how to do it after they decided to wreck it two or three times instead of asking for help.
I hate being given attitude because I ask them to adjust the lettuce to veggie ratio (I didn’t order a lettuce sandwich bitch) and being looked at strangely when I tell them an ENTIRE handful of jalapeños on a 6 inch is a little excessive. Why work in customer service if you’re not happy serving customers to their liking? It’s Beyond me.
Final thought: I will give them the fact that the little shop is usually pretty clean, and the sodas cold. Can’t think of any other compliments. parking is awkward and small. I guess if you’re trying to avoid the surrounding fast food joints this is the place to go, however if you like getting what you paid for without being made to
Feel like shit about it, you won’t like it here.
And maybe I’m a little pissed at them too becase I applied to work here a while back (shut up, a jobs a job) and they always act like I never turned in a resume and they’ve never seen me before in their lives. I’m like «I know you remember me. I’m the chick who always makes you fix her sandwich beause you’re incompetent.»

First visit to this certain Subway.
Got a 6 inch turkey with cheese and all fixing’s except tomatoes.
Sandwich was made in adequate time and tasted great. The maker of my sandwich never greeted me, asked me what i wanted on my sandwich like 4 times and every time I stated ‘everything except tomatoes’. I mean c’mon, pay attention! It wasn’t busy at all. Not sure if she was on this planet or what but when she rang me up it was like she was looking straight through me???
Like other posts have stated, service it hit or miss.
I ate there and place seemed clean. Small place where everyone would be able to hear your convo.

I went in Friday & there was 1 person ahead of me & 3 employees behind the counter. Not so much as a greeting, but one girl looked me straight in the eye & then said something to her co worker in Spanish (who looked me right in the eye after) & continued to ignore me while playing with the produce containers.
Is a simple greeting or saying I will be with you in a moment simply too
difficult?
I am really sick of crappy customer service.

I’ve been going here lately almost every other day since I wanted to eat a little healthier and I haven’t went shopping for a bunch of groceries. The staff here are pretty quick and are always helpful and friendly. They even let customer use the bathroom when it is mainly for employees. They always check my ID if I use my credit card and they keep the place clean and running like a well oiled machine. This is one of my fav Subway’s in the bay.
