This chicken is ok. Not anything to brag about the only thing i like is that they have okra. The tea is ok to sometimes.

So generally I would just assume chicken to be chicken… and with chicken joints as wide spread as mickey-d’s…why on earth would I expect anything unique from a «Bush’s Chicken»??? I first heard of this chain chicken store from my daughter after she and her family had moved to Texas. She raved about their chicken tenders… and rolls… and white gravy. Okay, I swear to eat at one if I ever see one… seemed safe enough. So tonight I get into town late… in the middle of a rain storm and looking on Unilocal for dinner ideas, I come across Bush’s Chicken… Chicken is chicken, right? Well tonight I enjoyed my dinner… chicken, moust and with a very flavorable breading… cooked perfectly. White gravy… what do I do with this? I dipped my chicken into it… another level of «WOW»…and a dinner roll that was extremely soft, buttery… yummy!!! Perhaps a few more carbs than anyone really needs, but quite tasty carbs. I choose the green beans as my side dish, plus two bottles of water. My dinner was perfect, excellent service, and at an exceptable price… I will be back, and I hope to see you there.

I’ve had their food before. It was okay; not worth the high prices. My husband decided he wanted to try Bush’s again today, just now. We walked in, and I immediately had to turn around and go back outside to BREATHE. The smell inside was horrific — old, nasty grease with a few other unsavory scents on top of that. I don’t know how other people were sitting in this place unaffected. Suffice it to say, we left without ordering anything.

After several times of trying their drive up service this location has failed once to many times. The chicken is just not that different or better than anywheres else, so I am going elsewhere for chicken rather than come here again

4 Drive-Thurs is the only thing I like. I sorta like Chicken Express a little more.

I’m going to try to keep this review short and to the point so below is just a few of the things that went wrong: — Before entering the restaurant there was a rank smell. I figured it must be somewhere outside, but as the doors swung open, the smell was more intense(the restrooms were located to the right upon entering).
— Guy that took my order had a blank stare when I told him I wanted two chicken meals. There was an awkward moment of silence due to the fact that he didn’t quite understand what I was trying to say. Hmm… my order wasn’t confusing, it was 2 of the same meal with the same sides — He forgot to ring up my sweet tea, I had to use my card cause I had NOCASH which was dissapointing cause it was .50 cents! — We have our order and my daughter starts attacking the bread and mash potatoes, then she tosses the bread and it rolls over and that’s when I see what was underneath… MOLD!(See picture) — Chicken is greasy, therefore table condiments were greasy to the touch. Makes you feel really close to the others who ate at the table before you, knowing that you are touching what they once touched with their greasy hands… Well, there it is, I have nothing else to say except I’m not going back there. The rest of the day I wasn’t feeling well due to the grease factor.

Seemed a little pricey for fast food chicken but it was pretty good. I had one of the cheaper items on the menu — chicken tenders with a drink and one side. Honestly, the chicken tenders at Bill Miller’s are a just a little bit better but quite a bit cheaper. The sweet tea was SWEET, SWEET, SWEET! All in all, I would rather go to a Churches, KFC, or even Bill Miller’s for fried chicken. Sorry, I just don’t get it…

Great place to get family style chicken. The tea is above bill millers quality and rarely have a issue. I have had a few problems with the wrong order in the drive thru but they are always busy. The prices are low and the food is always good with big portions.

I have always loved bush’s chicken/chicken express(same recipes), but this location has horrible customer service. I don’t think they’ve ever gotten an order right on the first try. Today they refused an online coupon that was specifically for their location because they didn’t know about it. This is the last straw. We usually get the kids some dinner there about twice a week, but we will find someone else to give our money to. edit: much to my chagrin, the kids have been bugging us for bush’s chicken again. I should have known to check the order before leaving, but didn’t. Sure enough, the sides are all screwed up. I really enjoy the food, but the order screw ups are getting out of control. I talked to the general mgr this evening and he promises that this is getting addressed.

The mashed potatoes were so blah n i wasn’t feelin the gravy. I just threw it away. That was sad.. But the chicken was good and the skin was tasty. My son loved it, that’s always a good sign because he’s a picky eater. Next time around I’ll have to get me some of the sweet tea.

Forget about KFC or Popeye’s. Bush’s Chicken puts other fast food chicken restaurants to shame any day. When you order chicken at Bush’s expect to receive freshly fried, big juicy pieces of chicken that are probably twice the size of what other competitors serve their customers. Their sides can be hit or miss but I enjoy the crinkle-cut fries, rolls and that oh-so-good white sauce gravy. Like the other reviews mention, don’t waste your time on their mac and cheese :-( And if you love sweet tea … baby it’s about as sweet and southern as Paula Deen sipping a mint julep on her front porch after eating a Thanksgiving spread with Jamie and Bobby. Bush’s sweet tea is to die for(almost literally with all the sugar they put in it lol) I was sad when I moved out here to a land without Bojangles Chicken, but Mr. Bush, you’ve almost made up for it!

As far as fast food fried chicken goes, Bush’s is up there with Popeye’s. Not much to say about fried chicken in general, but I will try. Bush’s chicken(and chicken strips) are quite tasty, especially with gravy or their in-house seasoning(similar to Popeye’s Cajun Sparkle). The breading is tasty and the sides(especially the fried okra) are good as well(except the mac&cheese…that is the only thing I’ve had there that is complete garbage). If you are a sweet tea fan, be sure to get a glass from Bush’s. Good : + tasty chicken, batter, sweet tea, and sides(except mac&cheese) + very good fried fish when they have it(I think sits only on Wednesdays or something like that, I forget) + seasonings and sauces(dine-in only) Bad : — fried chicken and(the good) sides are not healthy for you — only a handful of locations, all of which are very far from me — Mac & cheese is not so good

good, crispy-skinned, fried chicken fat, juicy breasts if you like your fried chicken on the bone crispy strips with decent meat/not tooo much batter(i like to mix a little honey and lousiana sauce together to dunk ‘em in… this happened to me on accident one day and i liked it) fried chicken livers and gizzards. no kidding. crinkle fries. pretty good when dusted with some seasoning and dunked in gravy… fried okra mushy and somewhat bland mac’n’cheese, but it’ll sate a craving if ya got one sweetish yeast roll comes with plates. good with gravy or honey or on its own. SWEET sweet tea
