MAC Cosmetics at Nordstrom

The new guy who is working there is extremely rude. Never in the whole eleven years that I’ve been shopping there have I ever had such bad costumer service. He didn’t acknowledged me the whole time. we made eye contact twice and not once asked me if my friends and I were doing ok or needed help! Two minutes later a teenage girl walks up and he asks her instantly. Felt super disrespected. I walked over to YSL and checked out there.

I found myself at the Mac counter twice this week– the first time Seth joked around with my friend and I like we were long-​lost buddies and helped us find what we were looking for. When the product I wanted was out of stock– he offered to order it for me online and then went as far as calling another local Mac store to see if they had it so I wouldn’t have to wait for it to ship.
The second time we came in he actually remembered who we were. He never tried to manipulate me into buying anything or up-​sell me on crap I don’t need, but because of his stunning personality and extensive knowledge of the products, I ended up walking away with a brand new item from almost every category of make up. I have never been so satisfied with a MUA from any other brand or store. Thank you, Seth!

Seth is the bomb!!! So is Christine N. I have been to this Mac. location more times then i can count and never had anything but the BEST customer service, what I need or want is always in stock. Not to mention the talent these pros. have!!! Yayyyy
You may not have the same experience going to a Mac located in Macy’s. Just saying.

Seth was awesome today! I left with new lips and bronzer and a major bounce in my step. And my partner in crime found the new lipstick she didn’t know she needed… they were out of stock so Seth ordered it for her and it’s coming straight to the house. His confidence rubbed off and I feel super about my new goodies. Ready to dump the lipstick color I’ve been wearing for ten years and keep trying that new new. Thinking I should pick up a lipstick habit. I don’t know why I’ve always been so reluctant to shop for make-​up, I had a blast.

Well I am new to Mac and so far I love the makeup however trying to get one of these girls to respond to e-​mails is a different story. Both girls asked me to email them since they are busy so I did. And 2 weeks later I have yet to get a response. I just need someone to do my makeup for my wedding so if anyone has any suggestions please share.

I had a little issue scheduling my appointment to have my wedding day makeup done, but everything worked out in the end and my makeup artist did a fantastic job making me beautiful for my big day. I was a little nervous as the girls here are always so caked up with over the top makeup. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of my artist, but she was great. She listened carefully and followed my instructions to a T and I ended up with a natural and subtally glamorous look that lasted 12 hours with much of that outside in 100+ degree heat. I did not have an initial consultation but it still only took about 45 minutes. I’ve heard there’s a $ 50 minimum purchase if they do your makeup or apply false eyelashes, but I purchased more so not entirely sure about that.

In terms of making an appointment, do not bother trying to book too far in advance because they do not set the schedule for the following month until the end of the previous month. Also — make the appointment in person rather than trying to call!

Bride, me (MOH), 2 bridesmaids and mother of the bride had an excellent make-​up experience here. On the day of the wedding, running late from getting hair done, the whole MAC crew sprang into action and transformed each of us into goddesses. I’ve been planning to come back and get some how-​to tips.

My brief interaction with these girls was pleasant and speedy.

i personally love the MAC girls @ corte madera. they are always so helpful with colors for my skin — which can be on the red side, so its tough to work with. also, its great seeing fashion forward young girls in marin that aren’t just rich high school girls wearing uggs.

I used to be a big MAC fan. Then the customer service slid noticeably downhill at many different counters throughout the City. A little too much attitude and indifference. MAC is usually very busy which likely has some impact on the ability to serve quickly. I realize it’s tough when you have 30 customers and a limited amount of staff. They do seem very willing to do makeovers which is a big plus in my book.
Of late, I’ve found the sales folks at the Corte Madera location to be very customer service friendly. One nice artist spent time with me to find an eyeshadow to go with my holiday party dress, a non-​MAC brand as well as find a duplicate lipstick for another brand that had been discontinued.
She gave good recommendations and tried to upsell me on a few things but it wasn’t a hard sell. That’s very much appreciated. Nothing turns me off more than a pushy you-​must-​buy-​this sales pitch. MAC, I’m back.
