Glad I gave this place a try, but it’s pretty meh. The ambience, for one, is like a college cafeteria. Guess that’s better than a high school cafeteria. It beats McDonald’s. But, for a salad? Me thinks not. I got a standard salad of spring greens w/5 toppings and a grain roll. With tax, we’re talking $ 9.15! Seriously? Not worth it. Maybe for, like, 5 bucks. It didn’t taste that amazing, either. It’s a nice concept that comes off as very generic and dumbed down. I’ll be sticking with Souplantation.

You can create your own salad or order one of their signature creation. Our service was really friendly, helpful and she explained all our choices. I chose one off the menu and still made adjustments to my liking. The salad was perfectly dressed, nicely tossed and I am appreciative because they do not overdress the salad. The average price of the salad is around $ 8.00. It’s not the cheapest around, but it does offer a variety of ingredients to mix and match. If you’re really hungry, I do suggest adding more meat and it can add up to $ 11.00 after doubling the meat. The diced chicken was delicious, tender and not overly salty as we normally are disappointed with white meat chicken. It’s a healthy way to help curb the hunger and it’s worth the investment especially when the ingredients are fresh and healthy. This was a fulfilling and refreshing meal if you’re looking for something to rejuvenate after a workout. I read the other reviews and I’m glad we came on a good day, because all our ingredients looked and tasted fresh.

Love the salads here. Perfect healthy fix. The salads WILL fill you up. That was always my main concern with eating just a salad, but this place left me with no complaints. They have tons of tasty salads for you to choose from, and tons of dressings. On Wednesdays all salads are 6 bucks!

I drive by this place everyday on my way to work and one day(when I forgot my lunch in the fridge at home.sadface.) I decided to give it a try. It is in walking distance of my work and I was all proud of myself that I was walking to go get a salad! How healthy of me! :-) When I walked in I thought it was a nice clean establishment and it was great to see a patio attachment where you could eat with your canine companion too. While I waiting in line behind a gentleman, I took a look at the display salads up front and was completely blown away by the choices. And then watching the salad maker(real title?) creating the gentleman’s salad in front of me… my jaw literally almost dropped at the size portions. He did a choose your own salad and similiar to Subway, you can choose what goes in the salad. I was already in over my head and decided to just go with the greek salad that was displayed up front. Looked delicious and guess what… ITWAS! :-) When the girl got to me, I told her I wanted the greek salad and right away she was to work. Grabbing every single ingredient that went into that particular salad. I was amazed at her speed and knowledge of the product. I was about ready to ask her how long it took to memorize every salad that they offer but decided against it as I didn’t want to distract her from her task. I asked for ranch on the side but ended up not even needing it because the peppers and olives gave the salad it’s own flavor! She directed me over to the cash register so I wouldn’t have to wait and I was rung up by a extremely nice gentleman. He asked about what choice of bread roll I wanted and I again was happy that I even got more for my buck. We had a nice conversation and I told him that I might be making this my weekly lunch spot. He smiled and told me that he was glad to hear that and I was highly impressed with the quality of service I received. What was an added bonus was when I was sitting down enjoying my meal, I looked on the door and there was a poster advertising and the owner’s face was on the poster. I realized that the man who rung me up was the owner himself. Major greek salad bonus points for that because you just don’t see that anymore where the owner or the manager is on the front lines with the rest of the staff helping to ring up customers. Am looking forward to going back to this establishment. Especially when all salads are $ 6 on Wednesdays! Score! My only recommendation is that not to use plastic cutlery or plates. I feel environmentally unfriendly when I was throwing it away. 5 out of 5 yummy bread rolls!

Saladworks has great salads with a lot of diversity. I qualify that statement with the fact that there are very few competing salad bars locally — that I know of. But, their salads are awesome. The salads actually cost more than $ 10, if you pay for additional vegetables, nuts, shrimp, etc.

Had this place bookmarked forever and decided to come back after seeing it in the same plaza when we had Chixy’s earlier in the week. Boy, were we lucky! We just so happened to pick the perfect day to drop in for dinner: $ 5.99 all salads and unlimited toppings WEDNESDAYS! What an awesome deal! Mixed greens piles high with eggs, green beans, edamame, black olives, broccoli, chopped tomatoes/onions, pecans, walnuts, sliced almonds, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese and fat-free balsamic on the side. I didn’t overdue, did I? LOL! Hubby got a Greek salad with BBQ chicken. BORING compared to mine! Hahaaa! What an awesome deal to get a fully packed, fresh salad for $ 5.99! Service was nice and friendly. Will def. be back on Wednesdays! =) For a regular $ 10, plus $ 0.70 toppings, I could see how they might not be such a steal.

It’s like Subway for salads. You pick and choose what you want. My ultimate thought was it’s WAY over priced for your average salad. 10 bucks for the lettuce, dressing and the first 5 toppings. Then 70 cents per extra topping. The food was just okay too. My iceberg lettuce was brown and not the freshest. I can go to Souplantation and get ENDLESS salad, soup, pasta and many other things for the SAME price and better quality. I’m not a fan.

This place is amazing! I’m all about customer service and cleanliness; Saladworks is the place! I love this place so much, that I come every other day(sometimes even back to back days… lol) !! I love their Italian wedding and chicken pot pie soups. I also recommend their Fajitalicious and Caprese Panini sammies! Super YUMMY! :P Their selection of dressings are pretty legit, too. They have 17 different dressings to choose from(salad dressing heaven). O_o Okay, so if you are looking for a healthy, clean, super friendly spot, you HAVE to do yourself a favor and check Saladworks out. You will be coming in every other day, just like me! :-D

Salad Station My buddy and I decided to grab a sammie from Saladworks after nearly devouring our Banzai Bowls we JUST purchased a minute prior to walking in. We obviously wanted something more… filling. This clean & happenin’ place was on our radar! We walked in thinking we were grabbing some soup but the thought of splitting a Caprese Panini sounded much better. We got in line and immediately thought that this was the Subway or Chipotle of salad joints! You’ll find a mecca of all the salad related items you can think of. It took a little longer for our Caprese to be made, so we took a seat while they hooked up our melty, basily, carby grub. Our sammie also included a bag of chips. We opted for the baked variety. I know what your thinking… Kriss P. you had an ENTIRE Banzai Bowl &&&& half a sandwich, you little heffer!!! On my defense, we didn’t eat it until about an hour after we got back from our trip just to let our tummies settle. Caprese Panini: Comes on seasoned sour dough bread filled with mozzarella, tomatos, basil leaves, & dashes of balsamic vinaigrette. It wasn’t overly buttery but I guess its up to who makes your panini. You can’t really go wrong with a Caprese! I did ask for a side of avocados which was a nice creamy touch to my half. We really want to come back to try one of their salads especially for their Wednesday salad special.

Horrible! Service was awful– employees seemed so miserable and bitter. It was like we were bothering them! Most generic salad offerings and the protein was that creepy, gross lunch meat type that tastes like salt! $ 21 for two salads! A better deal & salads to be had at McDonalds! Boo! Was hoping for a place like Plutos that’s in the Bay Area, Davis & Roseville!

I really like this place. As a vegetarian, I hate when salad’s fail to include a starch or enough protein, but at Saladworks I can get whole wheat pasta in my salad, all salads come with a warm yummy roll, and there are many vegetarian protein options. Additionally, you can call ahead or order online in advance and just pick up your salad if you are very busy, which I often am. I like how they have a variety of toppings as well. The one thing that I do not like is the price, so I only go here on Wednesdays when you can get any salad with unlimited toppings for only 5.99.

I’m a salad fiend. My ex-boyfriend used to mock my extreme love for salads endlessly. I have good taste, sorry about it pal! Anyway, the dream of all dreams to me is a restaurant entirely devoted to salad. Suddenly, Saladworks came into my life and I love it. They have so many options for toppings(think Subway, but salads rather than sandwiches), you can create your own masterpiece or pick their menu salads. I usually choose one of theirs and tweak it slightly: Cobb swap the avos for mushrooms(yes, I’m a weirdo who hates avocados) or the Bently swap the Swiss for blue cheese. And if you get the Low Fat balsamic, the calories are extremely low and great for those watching their weight. Only negative for me, is that I seem to always get the same girl as my «salad artist». She’s quite possibly, one of the rudest people I have encountered in a long while. I’m pretty sure she’s rolled her eyes at me each time I’ve gone in and has not once smiled on any of those trips. It’d be one thing if I was one of those annoying customers who gets to the front and doesn’t know what I want and I stand there holding up the line, but I always state my entire order quickly. So, I’ve deduced that she is simply just an unpleasant person and that won’t change. What’s to be so unpleasant about, lady? You are making the world a better place, one salad at a time… Cheer up!

I was in the mood for something on the lighter side, so I decided to check out Salad Works. I loved walked in and seeing all of the selections right in the display window! Everything looked very fresh, so I was excited to try it out. I ordered the half salad and soup. The tomato bisque was pretty tasty. Not too much cream, which I like. I had the half order of the Cabo Jack with the Salsa dressing. When I asked for no tomato, the girl helping me asked if I wanted to select something to replace it. All in all, the food was very good! The service was also wonderful. I will definitely be back!

I’m not a hater, I’m giving this place what it deserves. I know 4 stars says, «I’m a fan!» I’m not really a fan, but it is 4 stars. The salads are super fresh, you can make your own, or pick from what they have displayed. I was a bit confused because they don’t have a «menu» displayed, you have to ask and then they show you. So then I got the pick 2, salad and sandwich. I made my own since everything displayed wasn’t speaking to me, plus I had the turkey panini. All for $ 8. All in all, it was very good, yummy even, but I just can’t bring myself to come back. I would NEVER eat here. Salad is cold, and this place is cold. I mean cold in temperature and in ambiance. I think I would rather go to Panera. It’s more happy there, and comfortable and free wi-fi. Saladworks is cold and just gives me the chills. But for what it’s worth, it is good.

Absolutely amazing! Orange County is in need of more restaurants like this. When you go in, you can see a «live» display of all the different salads and if those dont tickle your fancy, then you can create your own. They offer a variety of low fat or fat free dressings that taste great as well as soups(butternut squash is my fav) and sandwiches or wraps! I would recommend the Tavoli Salad or the Sophie’s Salad. They just started offering lunch combos. You can chose soup/salad/sandwich. as far as the price. well you cant beat it. $ 7 or 8 for this? Wow! I use to spend more than that at TGI Fridays, CPK, Claim Jumper, etc. but not anymore! Better and tastier for less the price— well thats a no brainer…

Amazing options, also have sandwiches and soup — the only reason why it didn’t get 5 stars was because it’s pricey for a salad($ 8.something cents, close to $ 9) but I guess you can’t put a price tag on eating right

My goodness. I felt like a Undecided first year college student who couldn’t stay settled with their major. First, there are a lot of salad choices to choose from. Second, you get to choose what type of salad dressing you want(there’s at least 10). Third, you get to choose what type of soup or sandwich you want(another 4 – 5 options to choose from). *Actually, before all this you get to choose whether you want just the salad option, the salad/soup combo, or the salad/sandwich combo. *At the register, you choose whether you want a wheat or white bread roll. Good luck Unilocalers. I chose to get the salad/sandwich combo– Turkey club salad(balsamic vinaigrette dressing) with the Chicken Monterey sandwich & wheat roll. Everything was fantastic. The salad was perfect with the right balance of pasta, chicken, and other ingredients and to be honest I forgot that I still had the chicken sandwich. The sandwich was probably the best part of my meal. Get the Chicken Monterey sandwich!!! It was definitely my first time at one of these salad counter food joints and I approve :)

It seems like there are a plethora of these salad places in norcal, but a major lack of them here in socal. Turns out Saladworks is a chain with most locations on the east coast, but regardless, it’s more than definitely a welcome addition to my lunch repertoire. I went basic and got half a cobb and half chicken orzo soup for $ 8 or so. I’ve gotta say though, they have a TON of options for salads. My dining pal, Tina T got herself a sandwich that proved to be quite delish too. After reading the other reviews, I’m thinking maybe Saladworks is hit or miss, because I had zero problems with customer service or cleanliness. In fact, yep. I’m a fan. Bonus! It’s right next to Banzai Bowls for a kickass healthy dessert.
