I love LJS! This one is such a disappointment. We have tried it multiple times, hoping it would get better and have been disappointed every single time. We waited 40 minutes in the drive thru with only one car in front of us. The food tastes like it has been re-fried multiple times. It tastes old and funky. No one seems to know what they are doing either. Bad service, bad food…

Between myself, fiancé and the family that joined us we spent over $ 50 and 1 hour in this location. Seems they were short staffed for we stood waiting for several minutes to have our orders taken. My receipt read 4:05 and our food(finally) came at 4:40. We were missing a sandwich. Oh and while we were ordering, someone came through the drive thru, was told to wait and then continued waiting for their food for at least 20 minutes. She had to then come inside because her soup container was not filled with soup. I work at a restaurant and it’s beyond me how these mistakes are being made… The lack of customer service alone is enough to turn anyone off but a 35 minute wait?!? Ridiculous. Plus the cashier was digging in her hair. Gross. Almost forgot– the smell coming from the bathroom told me I certainly didn’t have to go that badly.

Stopped in Christmas Eve on the way to my parents and it was TERRIBLE. We were greeted with, «We don’t have root beer or onion rings.» That’s fine, it’s Christmas Eve and trucks may not run as frequent as non-holiday times. The bad part was the food! It took forever to even get our order, and when it did… it wasn’t worth eating. The oil they cooked it in was old; our fish and chicken were covered in the black sediment that settles to the bottom of the oil after cooking in it for an extended time, and it was barely even noon! They still had all day of cooking in it to go! My soggy fish was so greasy that when I picked it up, oil pooled around my fingers and dripped onto the tray. The TRAY was nasty! They didn’t even bother to clean it from a previous use, because when they slid it onto our table(which was also greasy and unclean), it left a long smear of ketchup that came from the underside of it. The soda machines had not been tended to, and only had syrup coming out with no carbonation. The case where the lids of the drinks were stored was spattered with drink goo and condiments. They didn’t look like they had been cleaned in months. Even worse was when the entire front counter staff went out for a group smoke break. All at one time. No one was there to man the counter. Not one person.(I heard one of the ladies tell another patron that the manager was out) The employees went out in front of the store, and because it was snowing, stood underneath the awning so as not to get wet. That’s not a big deal, but the awning they were under was directly in front of the exit. They completely blocked the door, leaning against it, and I watched as patrons left through the entrance! Unacceptable! The topper was both my husband and myself getting sick off of the food. Merry Christmas, indeed. If I could rate this restaurant a negative number, I would. Go somewhere — ANYWHERE — else. This place is a joke.

Well, I tried to go to this Long John Silver’s/A&W last night. Lets just say it was a few hours before closing and the place looked closed inside. The bathroom was really dirty. When we went to order our food, they were out of root beer, ice cream, burgers, rice, green beans, french fries and corn. We decided to go somewhere else. There is no reason they should have been out of half of their menu items.

Went on a Friday night and the service and food was horrible! First off, though I ordered two of the same meals, they charged me for the first meal and then charged me for a much more expensive meal. I caught the error after sitting down and went back. Manager handed me $.55 out of his pocket. Sat down again and realized the difference was $ 1.75 at least. He credited the wrong meal and charged the correct meal. Looking at my bank statement I can only see the two charges, not the credit! Then the fish was nearly inedible. It had an off flavor, wasn’t crispy and tasted like it had sat in old oil for a long time. We had been regulars, hitting up LJS at least monthly, but this ruined it for us. Never again.
