Very kind family that runs the place. Great food for take out. My orders are always correct. I’m a loyal customer forever!

China Wok is A+ in their quality and quantity of food. I’ve become a huge fan. Delicious selections and great delivery service as well.

I have been eating here for years, it’s obvious I love the food. Very similar to a china wok I used to go to when I lived in New York, the only bad thing about this place is when you call to order the customer service is not very great, they are a bit rude

They are a mom and pop operation. Food is very consistent. Their fried rice is surprisingly good. Not too thrilled about their hot and sour soup, quite bland. I love supporting small, cypress businesses. Mom and pop operations are wonderful as these guys work real hard all the time to provide good food. Definitely worth a try.

I really wanted to like this place. Like other reviewers cypress doesn’t have that«go to» Chinese place like you do in what seems like every other part of the city. This place didn’t work out for me. I won’ be back.

I went there for a lunch meal lets break this review down For all those so call critics that tend to just talk about the bad and not the good. Yes its a small establishment and kept pretty decently clean. But i did notice that there was some grease build up on the tables but keep in mind they cant keep the vapors from the kitchen spreading they just need a good degreasing cleaning but overall they keep their restraunt decent no worry on that folks. Seating is minmal just five tables member its small place so unless theres room youll be eating to go. Okay customer friendliness is lacking it think that their character they very short and abrupt and thats their character in my experience not rude i did try to lighten the mood but they did not joke back their more bussiness oriented they just want take your order fast and get your food quickly. Food is cooked to order i did see the frying take place, they really do stir fry your food to order my veggies were fresh and crunchy hate squishy veggies They’re rice is decent mines suspiciously dry but passable for my standards. Both plates were consistent in a appearence Good portions balanced servings. They were maticulous in their packaging they give you all your containers and condiments very well package unfortunately mines was to dine in But it was ok im not a prick. Of course we had to take it to go but it was already ready to go we were golden in that moment. O’ drinks not included so yeah you extra charge for a drink i spent like 18 dollars for two plates including my drinks. This is just a down to earth place looks like family owned establishment. Well hope yalls experience is a good one if you choose to try them out

Great Chinese food take-out. Not an eat in kind of place, though there are a few tables if you have no where else to go. However, for take out and delivery you can’t beat it.

Ordered General Tso Chicken and that was perfectly fine, but my father’s Shrimp Fried Rice was rather bad. Not really a place to eat-in, more take-out.

After trying out most of the Chinese restaurants in my area, I’m happy I have found one fit for human consumption. As a New Yorker I often get a craving for Chinese. A couple of weeks ago the China Work menu was left at my door, I had some xtra dough to spend and a Chinese craving, so i’ll give it a try. I was happy surprised. China Wok is the best I’ve tasted so far and I’ve been here about 3yrs. i ordered Chicken fried rice, it was tasty but i thought Chinese fried rice was brown not white, needless to say I had my son try it first and if he liked I probably would have as well. I also ordered the chicken wings, I had about 2, it was ok, very fatty and over fried for my taste but my son and his friend devoured them, the egg rolls were pretty good and the chicken mei fun tasted kinda off initially but the next day when I had it for breakfast it was on point! I think I’m gonna keep this menu and try out a couple of other things, maybe they’ll get a four star rating next go round! One more thing… Chinese food in Styrofoam plates? uhuh

Great fried dumplings! The best in northwest Houston! They are quick & takeout is always a plus! There isn’t really a nice area to dine in, therefore I recommend takeout. Good food!

As far as Chinese take-out and delivery goes, China Wok is almost close to perfect. It’s the tiniest little Chinese restaurant that I’ve ever seen inside a new strip center. It’s more of the kind of place you’d see in San Francisco or New York. There are only two small tables — again, they’re more of a delivery/takeout establishment — with three people working in the kitchen, dishing out made-to-order food in a giant wok. The menu is pretty extensive(see all my pics). The lunch specials average about $ 6 and could possibly feed two normal sized folks. My sister and I picked up about five different lunch specials today, and they easily fed my family of 10. And we had an entire box left. No MSG. Not overly salted or veggies drenched in sauce. Free delivery for lunch($ 12 min order) and dinner($ 20 min order). I’ll definitely be back another day for a quick lunch/dinner for the fam.

My husband I are quite pleasantly surprised!!! We each ordered a meal platter to go. The platters are $ 6.95 and it comes with the main dish, fried rice and an egg roll. The portions are HUGE!!! We also ordered a quart size hot and sour soup. It was delicious and only $ 3.00 for a quart!!! The crab Rangoon is amazing!!! They are the biggest in size I’ve ever seen! China Wok has beyond fulfilled our expectations and we will definitely have another Chinese take out night in the very near future!!!

I usually don’t write reviews about fast food restaurants, but some how I felt that I needed to write about this one for the plain fact that they deliver from 290 all the way past Spring-Cypress Road which is really impressive to me, especially when they don’t have much competition in this area. Their delivery was terribly fast and surprisingly the food was good(tasted fresh). I order a ton of stuff — for a dinner for 6 and everything was right(I usually get something wrong when I order large dinners) and they even included all the disposable cutlery and condiments(I usually have to ask for these). I am giving it 3 stars because I think any average fast food Chinese restaurant should operate like this. And I also ordered from them once(for delivery) so I may up the stars if their service is consistent. They take credit cards over the phone so that is great for me when I don’t have cash on hand and they prices are pretty reasonable.

My search is Finally Over. For the last two years, I have been searching for an acceptable Chinese food restaurant in Cypress. Every time I enter a new restaurant, I am full of hope that this will be the ONE. But as usual, I get disappointed. Today started with the same hope as any other day that I will FIND the ONE! I don’t believe that my expectations are higher because I am Chinese American. I believe good food is good food. And all the other restaurants should not pass as food, let alone good food. But today I found it! The smell in the restaurant perfumed of my youth in Houston as my parents took us in search of a good Chinese restaurant. And when I went home, and opened the togo box, I knew this was the one. The General Tso’s chicken is what I use to gauge a good restaurant. The chicken was in bite size pieces. The breading around the chicken perfectly coated the moist morsels of dark thigh meat. It was fried to perfection before placed into a wok and the General’s secret sauce was added. That sauce coated the chicken into a perfect match that is called General Tso’s chicken. Fresh florets of broccoli garnish the plate. The vegetable fried rice that accompany all the lunch specials is cooked flavorfully with a hint of the cooking oil that is essential to any good fried rice. I can’t wait to order their Pork fried rice!!! Thank you China Wok, for taking pride in your food!

I only posted a star because I had to. Awful, awful, awful. I have given up on trying to find excellent Chinese in Cypress, and have decided to lower my standards to decent or atleast edible. Tonight I ordered pork pan fried dumplings– thank G– or I might have starved. Although very doughy, the meat had a nice flavor and the dipping sauce was tangy. Won ton soup came next and the broth was flavorful, but the wontons were mushy. For the main entrée I ordered beef pepper steak and chicken fried rice. I took one bite of each and pushed my plate away. The peppers and onions smelled good, but had no flavor and were overcooked. The«steak» was again mushy. I realize I’ve used this adjective twice, but I’m at a loss for words. Just flavorless mush in my mouth. The chicken fried rice wasn’t fried at all. It had the same consistency as steamed white rice drizzled with soy sauce. Again it was very bland and I swear the peas and carrots came from the frozen food section at HEB. I hate to come down so hard on a local and small business, but it is hard not to complain when I know there is better food out there, I just can’t seem to find it in Cypress.

Nice and tasty food. I don’t know about the other soups but egg drop soup was definitely not good. It was totally bland. The service may seem«distant» but otherwise it’s ok. You don’t have to wait for more than 5 minutes to get your order.

I’m a regular here after my evening workout at the gym next door. When my hubby’s traveling, I can get one entrée here and it lasts me several meals. The hot & sour soup is excellent, especially at $ 3/quart. I bring home two of them and it will last all week. The pork egg rolls make for a nice quick snack too. So the portions are big and the food is great. What more could you want?
