Wesley at the front was VERY accommodating and Fonzy was superb! Zach, these 2 are some of your best and thank you for making my friends first time a great experience!

So I have some positives and negatives from our visit yesterday. It was a Tuesday night so it was slow – no surprises about that. We got there around 6:30, an important note, as their happy hour ends at 7PM. My husband ordered a frozen margarita, which is $ 4 on the happy hour menu that ends at 7PM. While delicious, when we went to pay we got charged $ 8 for it. :/ The food was good – especially the complimentary chips and dip. I could not get enough of the chipotle cream sauce. So delicious. Last time I went there you could order individual tacos but this time they have order combos, like 2 tacos and a side or 3 tacos and a side. But they upcharge for seafood. I ordered the seared ahi tuna one. It was cooked clean through without a sear. Still delicious, but the flavor was definitely not what I was hoping for. My husband loved his food. The best taco is the red chili beef one – delicious. I wish I had just gotten two of those.

Man Vanessa and this frozen strawberry margarita she made… Hmmm If had to marry one, sorry Vanessa this margarita is BOMB!!! Oh and the food was good here too. Why haven’t we heard of this place? Why isn’t it popping??? We’re going to change that fast. Oh and the DJ is NICE! Definitely a must come to spot. I also don’t give 5 stars often, so yeah speaks for its self.

We met up with some friends for a birthday party. We ordered drinks when we sat down and started talking with friends. A half hour later, our drinks were delivered. At that time we ordered food, 30 minutes later we got our tacos. The server dropped off some dips and chips, I said I didn’t order that. He said they are complimentary. We had been at our table for 45 minutes before getting the«complimentarty» chips and dips. Don’t come here if you’re in a hurry. The drinks are tasty. So we’re the tacos.

I like the location! Unfortunately it is uptown so the parking is scarce, it’s like going on a witch hunt to find parking, but as you know thats what comes with living or going out in the city! The food here was good but not spectacular except… I got 3 tacos and rice. Let me tell you about this rice! It was sooooo good! I’d come back just for the rice! It was like a white lime rice. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. One of my friends got a burrito and didn’t finish ¼ of it, said it was to dry even after she added salsa. I gave it 3 stars because of the service. We came with a 5 ladies and wanting have some fun. We ordered a round of shots and no joking, we waited over 20 min! It wasn’t busy and our table was by the bar. We couldn’t find our waitress and we asked the manager and she said she’d get right on it but that was another 10 minute wait. It was so annoying. I try to be understanding because I’ve worked at a restaurant before and I know how things can get but this was out of line. Our margaritas tasted like syrup-there was no liquor in them, couldn’t have been! They were so small, not what I was expecting for an $ 8 marg! I may come back in the spring because I saw they had a roof top area that would be good for a dj and lounging in the sun!

Great outdoor seating options, and the inside is nice. Our server always seemed to be running around and quickly leaving our table just as soon as she came to drop whatever off.(I couldn’t ever understand how she was so busy… It was a breakfast brunch buffet. Buffet being the key word… We served ourselves.) The brunch buffet was spotty. They had about ½ of the options at any given time. What they ran out of constantly changed. Mimosas: yeah they do the unlimited mimosa thing. Halfway through our meal they ran out of champagne. It was at that point that our entire table began talking about how off something was about this place. I would rather have paid for one entrée and it come out perfectly instead of trying to piece several random things together. I also would have rather paid per mimosa so it actually had booze in it. What we did have was good… But I definitely won’t be back to try the brunch again. Maybe dinner sometime.

We had a great late night dinner at TNT. Seven of us stumbled in here around 10 p.m. after bar hopping in Uptown, ready for some tacos. And for a few people, tequila. We were seated right away in their large dining area. It was loud and festive and full of happy tipsy people, as one might expect that late on a Friday night. They immediately placed large paper bags full of warm, salty tortilla chips in front of us, and those were excellent. We loved those. We devoured those. When it came time to order, my boyfriend and I decided to share the Ahi Tuna street taco($ 5.50) the Fried Artichoke street taco($ 3.50) and the Corn Crusted Chicken street taco($ 3.50). All of the tacos were kind of small(especially for the price) but they were all tasty. It threw me off a little bit that they were all served on flour tortillas… can you really call them street tacos if they’re on flour tortillas? I thought only corn tortillas were truly authentic. Nevertheless, they were delicious. My favorite by far was the Fried Artichoke taco. There was a tangy lemon aioli and a tapenade on it that really made it sing. We also shared a margarita, although I’m not sure which one. Whichever it was, it was good. We definitely enjoyed it. Our servers were great, considering we were a loud, semi-drunken table of seven. Waters were filled, food was brought swiftly. When I return to TNT, I will order more food(because three small tacos are not enough for two people, even if they gorge themselves on chips) and try more tequila, since it’s a specialty!

I went to have some drinks with a couple friends before the Stars game one Tuesday evening. We sat upstairs on the patio, and everything was fine until the waiter ‘attempted’ to bring us our checks. Everything on the receipts were mixed up. My friend was charged for my appetizer, I was charged for multiple friend’s drink orders, etc. The entire check process was a nightmare. It took the waiter an entire hour to try to get our checks correct, which never ended up happening. We eventually complained to the manager(who did nothing. Nor did he even apologize once for the inconvenience.), and eventually just paid whatever our tab was since we had a hockey game that we were now officially late to. To top off this terrible experience, the waiter overhead my friends and I become angry and upset as we were missing the Stars game, and he blamed this situation on us as we «did not tell him ahead of time that we were going to all split our checks.» Not only that, but the waiter then placed ‘added gratuity’ on the 3rd and final check as he knew we were not going to tip him for the awful service and his terrible attitude. Awful service. Rude staff. Passive management.

Came in during lunch on a weekday. It was not busy at all which was surprising, but in a good way. I ordered the taco platter with pulled pork, beef chimichurri and shrimp tacos. The chimichurri on the beef taco had mint and Mint Does Not Authentic Chimichurri Make. On top of that, my lemon lime mint lemonade was undrinkable. Not because of the mint, don’t get me wrong I love mint, but because it was extremely sour and without a pinch of sweetness. I give TNT3 stars because I’d probably give it another chance, but I was not too impressed.

I came here this afternoon with a girlfriend for lunch. She had been here before and recommended it to me. Upon entering the restaurant, it took about five to ten minutes for me to be greeted by a hostess. In fact, I had to ask to be seated. We were served by the bar staff and I ordered the street taco platter with corn crusted chicken street taco, steak street taco and the veggie street taco. The platter came with a side and I chose the market corn. The tacos weren’t half bad. I really liked the corn crusted chicken street taco. However, the market corn was not very good or hot. I was expecting more flavor and was disappointed. Considering all of the taco places in Dallas, I probably would not come back.

Not great. Friendly hostess and waiter but very average food. I had the ahi tuna taco that was not well-seared and not flavorful, and the market corn which lacked spice and acidity. The sweet potatoes chips they serve you with three complimentary salsas is a nice touch but too expensive for the actual quality of the food.

The bartenders are super friendly and the service is great. I had the chips and guacamole– delicious! There’s a great rooftop patio/bar where most people hang out. Complimentary salsa when ordering food, too. Seems like it turns into a night club later on the weekends. The tacos and other food looked great and so did the margaritas!

I really enjoyed the Happy Hour! The drinks hit the spot and had a very nice kick! I really enjoyed the fresh guacamole that they make hand fresh in front of you. The tacos are very tasty and the staff was Awesome! Tyler took good care of us and JC did that with the guacamole. I shall return!

TNT gets two stars from me one star for the food, one star for the tequila. Three stars removed, why? Because your manager has some customer service issues she needs to address. Oh Ms. Tara, manager of TNT… why won’t you stop by and speak to our table? We’ve been here since 7:30 pm and have watched you make your rounds to everyone else… except us… and we stayed until almost 10:30 pm! I enjoyed our evening drop in at TNT, the food was pretty good and the tequila flights are a fun twist to a night out… but oh Ms. Tara, you ruined it for me. Walking by our table with your nose in the air. Stopping by and chit chatting with everyone else and making sure all of your other patrons were okay — except us. Did you not think we had anything to discuss? Did you happen to miss the table of four that you casually passed by on your way to check in with everyone else?

Love Mexican food. Point. blank. period. TNT had a little twist to their food… a clean twist. Very colorful, simple and fresh. The drink selection, loved it. I didn’t order but one drink, but the flavors and combinations were just so different and fun. The idea of the chips, blue corn and white or yellow corn, I can’t remember, AND sweet potato ships served warm in a paper bag was a great start. Of course we all got full off of that with the trio of dips. All of them were good. Fire roasted salsa, a green chile salsa and some sort of a chipotle cream salsa. I liked them ALL! Our waiter Brandon was great, helped us out a lot, had suggestions for everyone. My main entrée choice was the mixed grill skewer platter. I like to have variety, so having steak, chicken and shrimp on one plate, I was a happy woman. The steak was definitely my favorite, cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The size of the TWO shrimp on one skewer was a bonus as well. Oddly enough though, one of my favorite things on the plate, was the smallest. It was this sample scoop of corn pudding, sweet and hot. I could’ve eaten a whole bowl of it. It was nothing but a tease. A delicious tease. TNT is a great place to just chill, have a drink, relax, watch TV, very casual. I liked it. I’d definitely go back any day of the week. Get my Mexican food fix.

This place really needs to be on the radar! If you are a Tequila Fan this is an amazing bar thats hidden in the uptown area! When you walk in theres an amazing bar that has tons of tequila to pick from. In addition that have all kinds of smoked tequila as well. Its warm and very good. Please make sure to take your time sipping this as its smooth and not meant to be taken like a shot. They also have flights of tequila you can order! This way you can try a variety of tequilas while you sit at their amazing bar. In addition there is an upstairs area where they have a live DJ on the weekends for brunch! Their outside area is very nice and great place to spend your weekend with friends and family. Check out their amazing happy hour as well! If you are Crown Fan, they have $ 5.00 Crown and Down every wednesday! Great staff!

I wanted to love this place… I really did, but I just couldn’t do it. When I tell you I live, eat, and breathe Latin food, I am not joking. Full disclosure: I am a Latina, so I know my tacos like the back of my hand, but before I get into the food I’m going to address some other things. First, the service was actually excellent when we went in on a Friday night. Our waiter was consistently attentive and courteous. This surprised me considering I have a friend who dined there for brunch tell me how terrible the service was. Even though the place had a lot of tables the hostess decided to sit a table of 4 men next to us. This wouldn’t normally be an issue, but these guys had clearly smoked like chimneys before walking in. The stench of cigarettes was disgusting and completely overwhelming. I literally felt like I couldn’t breathe. The restaurant itself is pretty cool. I love how they set up the downstairs bar and included a rooftop patio option. My boyfriend and I both liked the presentation of the food, but I thought it was a little tacky how they use plastic plates. The margaritas were absolutely delicious. The food itself was absolutely terrible. As my boyfriend said, «they are tacos catering to the taste of white people.» The tortillas were definitely not fresh and they were dry. I’m pretty positive they heated them in a microwave for a few seconds prior to serving. There are days I wake up and crave tacos, but you probably couldn’t pay me to eat these again. The best part of the meal was the rice, which I wolfed down. The chimichurri on the tacos was traumatizing. I’ve grown up my whole life eating my family’s chimichurri, but this was not even close to authentic chimichurri. I even asked the water what the heck the sauce was because I frankly wouldn’t call it chimichurri. He was adamant that it was. Maybe this is what happens when you allow Mexican cooks to attempt to recreate an Argentinian staple.

I was really disappointed with this place. The restaurant was so slow for a Friday night during the dinner time. Pros: The staff and waitress was very friendly and attentive which was nice. Our waitress provided really good customer service. The restaurant itself was cute so I thought. We ordered an appetizer which included 4 or 5 different taco which was probably the best thing there. I didnt get a chance to try the tequila flight which they are known for apparently. Cons: I ordered the grilled chicken«street taco» and it was just not worth it. The tacos itself were overpriced and is no where near as good as the authentic 24 hour late night taco joints. My friend ordered the ahi tuna taco and it just didnt look appetizing at all. I do NOT recommend coming to this place at all.

Overwhelmingly disappointing. I was waiting for a show at theatre three and this place looked more interesting than crushcraft(bc crushcraft is so unappealing to me.) It’s Friday night and it doesn’t look crowded, there are several tables but half of the restaurant is empty. The wait for a table is 25 minutes. What? I can clearly point to the empty tables. Ok maybe you just have a shortage of waitstaff. Ok let’s do the bar, since I’m short on time. Nine minutes passes by before I’m even acknowledged. The bar is almost ¾ empty too. Then the female bartender says hi and that she’ll be back. She doesn’t come back. So a male bartender quickly comes over and acknowledges me and walks away to bring back some menus. Ok. I could have used the ten minutes I wasted waiting to look at the menu. Every minute is a percent taken off your tip guys. At least say hi. A quick decision since he comes back in literally 60 seconds to take our order. I hardly read two items and just blinded pointed. TNT Palmoma drink and ahi tuna tacos. My other half gets a frozen margarita. We get our drinks. I was disappointed in mine. It was uninteresting and basically just tasted like tequila with a spritz of grapefruit. I can’t complain that much because of their name and if I want to get drunk, but I was half expecting an interesting drink that uses tequila to its advantage. The frozen margarita was underwhelming. Strong, frozen, tart(for me) salted rim. Fine. Then the wait. It took over 20 minutes for two tacos. And the tacos are probably 10 cm in diameter. Seriously? I’m hungry, I haven’t eaten since 7 hours ago and I had a workout. And this is what I get? The seared tuna was overcooked too and everything is about room temperature. The cold ingredients(cabbage on top) were getting warm. That’s how disappointing this was. I immediately asked for the check not only because the play was going to start, but I was completely over this experience. Bad service, bad food, bad drinks. No thank you. The redemption might be the space and the outdoor patio.

Back when Crushcraft Thai first opened in the same complex at TNT(which is coincidently well within walking distance to my apartment) I had high expectations dashed by a weak menu and food that I just didn’t think were up to the standard that’s readily available in Dallas. Unfortunately, after a recent visit to Tacos and Tequila, it looks as though we have a repeat performance. While the atmosphere is strong, the food simply isn’t that good. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Again, a strength of TNT is the service and atmosphere. Next to a convenient location, there’s abundant seating for various types of groups or individuals, and the servers are fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? There are abundant tacos in Dallas of all shapes, sizes and prices, and while they’re not very large(see the picture), between $ 3.50 and $ 4.50 each is on par with Velvet Taco, which has a comparable modern specialty assortment to TNT. From left to right: Buffalo Chicken — $ 3.50 BBQ Pulled Pork — $ 3.50 Beef Tenderloin — $ 4.50 Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Before diving into the individual ups and downs of each taco, know that the tortillas, which are arguably the most important aspect of a good taco, were okay. Freshly made? possibly, although I can’t be certain. Having said that, they weren’t the best I’ve had. Now, the buffalo chicken was a good filler, but I’ll go as far as to say that the taco was just too busy. The slaw and blue cheese were simply borderline excessive compared to the quantity of chicken. The BBQ Pulled Pork was the best of the three, but as you may be able to tell from the picture, the quantity of pickled red onions was over the top. The beef tenderloin was a good filler, but once again the red onions, this time fried, took over the taco. In all, these tacos were just okay, but you can find better, both authentic and contemporary, elsewhere in Dallas(Good 2 Go Taco, Velvet Taco, La Ventana, etc.) From there, there simply isn’t broad enough a menu to warrant frequent visits. No Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? There’s room for improvement. No Star Granted.
