I’ve been here a few times, daytime only so I can’t opine about anything that happens after dark. It’s a nice place, clean and open/airy. There’s some games to play if you feel the need. I mainly drink beer, they have a decent selection and it’s cold so yes, I’m a fan! Tequila is the theme though, they have a ton of them on hand as well as the dreaded Jäger. Staff is cool, music is pretty good too, no pop hits or mainstream bs Parking is probably a nightmare as is most things near«the square», so be ready to hike. Oh, it’s a bar only– no food!

nice service… no food except chips and salsa self serve that we never saw… as the others say, dia de los muertos theme… skeletons and such around… liquors on tap, so they probably have good drink features, but that’s not my thing, so I didn’t pay much attention…

Pretty good atmosphere. Good drinks. One bartender was a little unimpressive, but the 2nd made up for it.

Low key, more upscale bar that doesn’t seem to be overly crowded. Darts and bean bag toss are there and plenty of seating with infused spirits.

My wife and I were wandering around the area and needed to find a place to cool off from the Texas heat. This place was just what we needed. The bartender made a killer margarita and with the house infused tequilas you can’t go wrong. We will back without a doubt.

They don’t so the salsa dancing anymore apparently. No kitchen or food available. They charged me $ 8 for thé «drink of the week» on the the sign which said $ 7.. not ompressed. Feels nothing like a «cantina» to me, more like your typical college watering hole with sports, darts, and khaki shorts.

Love this place! If you are looking for a awesome bar with a great atmosphere and delicious drinks, you’re at the right place. There is lots of fun and good times to be had here. Great drinks at great prices is what you will find at Mulberry St. Cantina.

Had a special occasion here on a Saturday afternoon and the place couldn’t have been better! Beautiful day with the big door open. Everyone loved the venue and the drinks were done perfectly. The bartender was awesome and made everyone happy! They worked with us to make the occasion«our own» and let us basically call the shots as far as how we wanted things to go. Definitely would recommend them for a special place in Denton to gather. They are super nice, excellent service and great place to gather with friends for drinks, darts, games or watching the game!

Mulberry’s transformed a dank warehouse space into quite the cute little cantina with larger-than-life Dia de los Muertos skulls, a wall of infused tequilas, and a nice of assortment of games. They’ve got 2 corn hole games set up(beware of drunk guys with bad aim– I’ve gotten nailed a couple of times), 2 dart boards, and plenty of board games to choose from. They’ve done a great job and tastefully decorated the space they’ve got and it now seems to draw a pretty consistent crowd after a slow opening. That being said, I think Mulberry is a great place to kick off a happy hour or evening out, but I have a hard time thinking of it as the main destination. The drinks can be pretty pricey and add up quickly at $ 5−8ish per highball class, which is filled to the brim with ice, leaving little room for that liquor I love. It seems like the music is always too loud when there’s a lot of people there… but not good loud. Last night kept swinging around from disco to pop-ish and everywhere in between… but very few worth songs worth listening to even at a reasonable decibel. It can be hard to find a spot for larger groups due to the large bean bag landing strip. Good for a drink, but not for the night. As a word of warning, DON’T park across the street in the temptingly open Hannah’s parking lot, even after Hannah’s is closed. It’s trolled by tow-trucks regularly and just cost my friend $ 218 to get his truck out. Ouch. OH! And just say no to the spicy pineapple margarita. Your esopogas will burn for days and you’ll never feel that sweet pineapple kick in.

If you love tequila and salsa dancing this is the place for you! So much tequila! And every Tuesday night there is a salsa night starting at 8:30 where they teach you salsa moves and then give you the floor to dance until 11: 30! Very cool place, not usually crowded. They have darts and board games you can pull out and play. Always very clean. Its not usually super loud. They even have trivia nights that are so fun! And oh my gosh the star wars one was intense! So many people came, lots in costume and the trivia questions were truly for the fans. No nube just walking in a skimming by. Very great place, defiantly deserves a look.

Great bar, great bartender(Zach), great music and great drink specials! Love the local art hung throughout that you can purchase. Free chips and salsa, but no other food, which is the ONLY reason I’m giving it four stars. I wish they at least had an appetizer menu or some sort of bar food. All that tequila on an empty stomach is not a god idea. Darts and cornhole boards(who created that name?) to keep you occupied. Garage door to open in the cooler months. Right across the street from Hannah’s.

Such a fun bar! I mean even the name is fun to say. I just love that there is a lot of space with giant windows(is that even a window?) I personally like the watermelon Margarita. Not too sweet, and can still taste the tequila … yum! They also have a drink called the Mexican 75 … Champagne with a shot of tequila. Never had that before, and I might have had too many the night I discovered them. I did have the primo($ 21) and I honestly didnt think it was worth it. I felt like it tasted like orange juice. They only have chips and salsa inside, but they are yummy and they always(almost always) have a food truck outsite!

Best Jalopeno Margaritas this side of the border! My absolute favorite place to stop for drinks with friends, and so far from the Denton norm of college kids and frat boys! Love, love, love this place!

We held our wedding reception here Saturday. We could not have been more impressed/satisfied. The owners, manager and staff went above and beyond in all aspects. They coordinated with the caterers and even offered to line up food trucks. It’s spacious, fun and clean. And nonsmoking, which is great because we did have some kids and pregnant ladies. And the service was fast and friendly. Our guests are some hellacious drinkers and I never saw any of them waiting empty handed. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cool place to hold an event, anyone looking to get a great hand crafted fresh ingredient drink, or anyone looking to saddle up to the bar for a beer and a shot(cobra head has three ice cold shot selections). Don’t miss out on one of denton’s best.

It was a night for celebrating a birthday, mine. We hit a few different places around the square and this was one of them… My buddy took me out for drinks and is a tequila drinker. I am not. But I figured we’d take a walk over here and see what it was about. A nice and spacious place with a really cool backlit bar and some cool artwork. That was it. My buddy looked at the tequila list and his favorite tequila was on the list, but another bar around the square offers the same shot… for eight dollars less. He said that when he goes to tequila bars that he likes to see something new and different that he’s never tried before. There was none of that on the list that Mulberry has and he was disappointed in that. For a warm evening, the AC was nice, but they have the option of having a garge door opened to the outside and maybe it’s me, but I usually prefer when the bathroom doors are hidden behind a wall or something? They were front and center. My buddy made it a point that this is a college town, and a drunk college student might bang into the wall or something like that. Anyways, it’s a decent place but nothing really stood out to make me want to frequent the place. Support Denton businesses.

Where did this place even come from?! Once again another bar hitting Denton’s downtown social scene. I find it great they they are trying to find their footing with something slightly different. It seems this place fits in with the crowd looking to get away from the college partying, but only time will tell what kind of crowd this place brings in. From what i understand this place use to be an old storage building. You certainly couldn’t tell that from inside. Everything looks great and has plenty of space to mingle around, with a few dart boards and a couple of other bar games to keep you busy if you need something to do. The bar looks great and has that feel of a tequila bar. Also they have a huge garage door that looks like they will be able to roll up when the weather is just right. Bar tenders were fast and friendly, great people. Drink menu had a few selections of special cocktails that went along with the theme. I was happy with my spicy margarita and look forward to having another. Prices seemed on point with the new downtown bar craze. Only real complaint i had was the tequila itself. I could be wrong about this, but i thought it was a tequila bar or at least the main theme of it. The choices of tequila were standard of any other place i’ve been to, major let down! I look forward to letting this place settle in and finding what type of crowd it brings in or how things may change up. I’ll be back soon!

Because TEQUILA! I know, I know, I’m being terribly slutty with my stars. But as a Denton girl, I get overly excited when new quality places open up in town. I was a little hesitant to come here after it had been open for only 8 days, since new places are bound to have their snafus and weak spots, but whatever they may be for Mulberry Street, I didn’t encounter them. We had a couple cocktails(the Mexican Martini and the Moscow Mule), and the bartender was both very knowledgeable and friendly. In addition to him, there were two other girls behind the bar who were also both very helpful. A+ on the service and staff. Tequila is obviously the star here and I’m very curious to try one of their tequila flights next time. The Mexican Martini was yummy but a little sweet for my taste – which had nothing to do with how it was made, it was more my palate. They have a couple spicier numbers, which I was told can be made without the spice element. So I may opt for those next time! A happy medium for someone like me. The layout is very open and there’s seating for plenty(and it was pretty full Friday night). The bar stools are a half-step above a dive, but the mostly austere former-garage-turned-bar set-up is pretty well suited to the part of town. Even Queenie’s Steakhouse has an aluminum-style roof and exposed interior look. So they kept the look simple. As long as the quality stays, I’ll be happy. Oh and you know, I think I’d dish out that fifth start just for the fact that there’s NOSMOKING! :D I don’t mean to be one of those people but you know what, I’m older now and I’m just done with the whole smelling like a goddamn ashtray thing.(Sorry, Paschall’s, you know I still love you. Just not after 6.) In any case, I’ll definitely be back here soon. Bonus: It seems like local food trucks often seem to set up shop just outside after 9 or so on the weekends. NOM.
